On the origin of the various types of radio emission in GRS 1915+105
We investigate the association between the radio ``plateau'' states and the
large superluminal flares in GRS 1915+105 and propose a qualitative scenario to
explain this association. We identify several candidate superluminal flare
events from available monitoring data on this source and analyze the
contemporaneous RXTE pointed observations. We detect a strong correlation
between the average X-ray flux during the ``plateau'' state and the total
energy emitted in radio during the subsequent radio flare. We find that the
sequence of events is similar for all large radio flares with a fast rise and
exponential decay morphology. Based on these results, we propose a qualitative
scenario in which the separating ejecta during the superluminal flares are
observed due to the interaction of the matter blob ejected during the X-ray
soft dips, with the steady jet already established during the ``plateau''
state. This picture can explain all types of radio emission observed from this
source in terms of its X-ray emission characteristics.Comment: Corrected typo in the author names, contents unchanged, accepted in

JSP Custom Tag Library for In-Place Editing in Disconnected Architecture â A Case Study
Even a trivial web application involves some sort of database functionality with few basic operations. However, such applications reveal a lot of code repetition. To avoid such a scenario, various techniques have been proposed in literature for reusability of code. One such technique is implementing custom tag library. Many frameworks rely on their own proprietary tag libraries for compacting the code. For example, struts framework abundantly uses HTML tag library, Beans tag library and Logic Tag library. JSF frame work utilizes core tag library. Connected architecture suffers from severe limitations and has become obsolete in web applications where no. of users and hence no. of database connections is not predetermined. In such a scenario connected architecture becomes predominant and scores well on its connected counterpart. In order to cater this need of a typical web application, in this paper, authors have presented JSP tag libraries for in-place editing in disconnected architecture. The tag currently works with MS-Access, MySQL and Oracle and can easily be extended to incorporate other back ends. Current work reveals encapsulation basics targeting the elimination of boilerplate code where lot of repeated code is hidden behind custom tags. Such a mechanism boils down to the entire database operations to one liner when tag attributes conceal the plethora of information involved in implementation of functionality. This paper emphasizes on development of a generic tag for disparate back ends. The database extensions are properly taken care of. The proper data type casting is performed by pulling out database schema information from the underlying DBMS. The communication between Tag Handler class and JSP page is established through PageContext class. The name of JSP page becomes available to the Tag Handler class through PageContext class which can also be used for retrieving query string parameters in a Tag Handler class. Development and histogenesis of human foetal lung in relation with gestational age
Background:The objective was to study the development and histogenesis of human foetal lung in relation with different gestational age. Methods:In the present study lung specimens were collected from formalin fixed 27 aborted foetuses (14 male, 13 female) by abdominal dissection between 6 weeks to 40 weeks of gestational age. Results:In the present study we observed that there was a delay in the appearance of embryonic, pseudo glandular phase, canalicular, terminal saccular and alveolar stages of the lung. Conclusion:Delay in the developmental anatomy and histogenesis of the lung cells leads to histopathological abnormalities which gives knowledge to the clinicians during clinical procedures

Rotational Bands and Electromagnetic Transitions of some even-even Neodymium Nuclei in J-Projected Hartree-Fock Model
Rotational structures of even-even Nd nuclei are studied with the
self-consistent deformed Hartree-Fock (HF) and angular momentum (J) projection
model. Spectra of ground band, recently observed , and a few
more excited, positive and negative parity bands have been studied upto high
spin values. Apart from these detailed electromagnetic properties (like E2, M1
matrix elements) of all the bands have been obtained. There is substantial
agreement between our model calculations and available experimental data.
Predictions are made about the band structures and electromagnetic properties
of these nuclei. Some 4-qasiparticle K-isomeric bands and their electromagnetic
properties are predicted.Comment: 20 page
Flavor-Symmetry Restoration and Symanzik Improvement for Staggered Quarks
We resolve contradictions in the literature concerning the origins and size
of unphysical flavor-changing strong interactions generated by the
staggered-quark discretization of QCD. We show that the leading contributions
are tree-level in \order(a^2) and that they can be removed by adding three
correction terms to the link operator in the standard action. These corrections
are part of the systematic Symanzik improvement of the staggered-quark action.
We present a new improved action for staggered quarks that is accurate up to
errors of \order(a^4,a^2\alpha_s) --- more accurate than most, if not all,
other discretizations of light-quark dynamics.Comment: 7 page
Effect of pre harvest foliar spray of growth regulators on pre and post harvest parameters in ornamental sunflower genotype M-17R
An experiment was conducted to study the effect of pre harvest foliar application of growth regulators on the pre and post harvest flower quality in ornamental sunflower during the year 2012-13, at College of Horticulture, GKVK campus, UHS, Bagalkot. At 60 DAS highest plant height was with GA3 @ 150 ppm (154.73 cm) followed by GA3 @ 200 ppm (146.20 cm) and GA3 @ 250 ppm (145.53 cm). Sodium silicate @ 250 ppm (4508.77 cm2) registered maximum plant spread at 60 DAS. Foliar application of GA3 @ 150 ppm (25.00) produced highest number of leaves which was at par with Sodium silicate @ 250 ppm, GA3 @ 200 ppm and GA3 @ 250 ppm recording 24.87, 24.80 and 24.67 leaves respectively. Calcium sulphate @ 200 ppm registered highest leaf area of (4930.30 cm2) which was at par with Sodium silicate @ 250 ppm, Calcium sulphate @ 300 ppm, Chlormequat chloride @ 500 ppm, Sodium silicate @ 350 ppm, and Chlormequat chloride @ 1000 ppm with 4792.64, 4735.04, 4721.75, 4503.05 and 4430.02 cm2 respectively

Extramedullary leukemia in children presenting with proptosis
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>We highlight the orbital manifestations of acute myeloid leukemia and the role of peripheral blood smear in the diagnosis of these cases. A total of 12 patients who presented with proptosis and were subsequently diagnosed to have acute myeloid leukemia based on incision biopsy or peripheral blood smear were included in the study.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>A retrospective review of all cases of acute myeloid leukemia presenting to the Orbital clinic was performed. The age at presentation, gender, presenting features, duration of symptoms and fundus features were noted. In addition the temporal relationship of the orbital disease to the diagnosis of leukemia, laterality, location of the orbital mass, imaging features and the diagnostic tools used to diagnose leukemia were noted. The median age at presentation was 6 years. The male: female ratio was 0.7:1. None of these patients had been diagnosed earlier as having acute myeloid leukemia. The presenting features included proptosis in all patients, orbital mass in 5 (41.7%), visual symptoms in 2 (16.7%) and subconjunctival hemorrhage in one patient (8.3%). A diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia was established by incision biopsy in 4 patients, subsequently confirmed by peripheral blood smear testing and bone marrow biopsy in 2 patients which revealed the presence of systemic involvement. Imprint smears of the biopsy identified blasts in 2 of 4 cases. In 8 patients presenting with ocular manifestations, diagnosis was established by peripheral blood smear examination alone which revealed a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>A peripheral blood smear should be performed in all cases of sudden onset proptosis or an orbital mass in children and young adults along with an orbital biopsy. It can always be complemented with a bone marrow biopsy especially in cases of aleukemic leukemia or when the blood smear is inconclusive.</p
