A technique for improving readability of Forrester diagram in system dynamics

    Get PDF
We describe a three-pass algorithm for improving the readability of Forrester Diagram in system dynamics. The first pass converts Forrester Diagram to recurrent hierarchy. The second pass sorts the vertices on each level, with the goal of minimizing crossings. The third pass is a finite tuning of the layout that determines the horizontal positions of vertices. An illustrative example is given to verify the result.

Charge Offset Stability in Si Single Electron Devices with Al Gates

We report on the charge offset drift (time stability) in Si single electron devices (SEDs) defined with aluminum (Al) gates. The size of the charge offset drift (0.15 ee) is intermediate between that of Al/AlOx_x/Al tunnel junctions (greater than 1 ee) and Si SEDs defined with Si gates (0.01 ee). This range of values suggests that defects in the AlOx_x are the main cause of the charge offset drift instability

In order to get good precision designer used to consider how to place cameras. Usually, design would refer to multidimensional optimal problem, so people used genetic algorithms to solve it. But genetic algorithms could result in premature or convergent problem. So sometime we get local minimum not global minimum and bring with vibrating phenomenon. Those problems will affect inaccurate design. So we try to solve them using the simulated annealing genetic algorithms. The methods give those species groups difference environment during difference stage to improve the property. Computer simulation result show that the way can accelerate the convergent speed and select good individual. This work would be used in other application. 1
