A mathematical model of social media popularity with standard incidence rate

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are some popular social media. DeLegge and Wangler (2017) have developed a Susceptible-Infectious-Removed type mathematical model to describe social media popularity. The DeLegge and Wangler model was a bilinear incidence rate model. In this paper, we improve the DeLegge and Wangler model by considering standard incidence rate. The presented model takes the form of an ordinary differential equation system that describes dynamic of susceptible (population of who are not social media users), infectious population (population of social networks users) and removed population (population of who leave social media). The presented model has three equilibria namely the "no social media users" equilibrium, "very popular social media" equilibrium and "popular social media" equilibrium. We find that the three equilibria are conditionally asymptotically stable. We also perform some numerical simulations to verify the analytical results

Pengaruh Pemberian Jus Daging Buah Jambu Biji (Psidium guajava) Terhadap Penurunan Kolesterol Pada Pasien Hiperkolesterolemia: The Administration Effect from Guava Fruit Juice (Psidium guajava) Towards Cholesterol Reduction on Hypercholesterolemia Patients

Red guava (Psidium guajava) fruits contain lots of vitamin C with 183,5 mg/ 100g. Vitamin C has been researched to have an antioxidant activity that can lower total cholesterol levels. This study aims to analyze meat guava juice's effect in reducing total cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemia patients in Samarinda. The research method is quasi-experimental, pre-test and post-test with control design, with purposive sampling as a sampling method. In the study research, as many as ten people were divided into two groups, group one was given a dose of 250 g once a day, and group two was given a dose of 125 g twice a day and both treatments were given 14-days. Cholesterol data is taken by strip-test method and data analysis using paired T-Test. The analysis results obtained a p-value for the treatment group one of 0.018, for treatment group two of 0,00, and the difference between groups one and two of 0,00. The analysis results showed p-valu

This research aims to determine the effective dosage of potassium diformate (KDF) in feed to enhance sangkuriang catfish immune performances. The research was conducted on November - January 2019, at Aquaculture Laboratory Building No. 4 Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Padjadjaran. This study used an experimental method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with four treatments and three replications. The treatments are the addition of potassium diformate into feed with doses A (0%), B (0.5%), C (0.7%) and D (0.9%). Observed parameters are clinical symptoms, total leukocyte count, total erythrocyte count, specific growth rate, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that 0.5% KDF feed produced the highest survival rate of 85% and the highest specific growth rate of 3.59% after 40 days. Furthermore, due to treatment, total erythrocyte count increased from 2.09×106 cells/mm3, to 2.10×106 cells/mm3 (8.1%) and total leukocyte count increased from 7.1×104 cells/mm3, to 10.7×104 cells/mm3 (42.81%). The addition of 0.5% KDF in feed is effective in improving the immune performances of sangkuriang catfish challenged by A. hydrophila, with the highest survival rate of 97%. Moreover, recovery of total leukocyte count and total erythrocyte count was faster than other treatments as of day 7th, with a value 1.97×106 sel/mm3and 12.60×104 sel/mm3. It also resulted in the lowest gross clinical signs and the fastest recovering
