    Catalogue of the spiders (Arachnida: Araneae) of Tottori Prefecture, western Honshu, Japan

    文献記録と新たに採集された標本にもとづき, 鳥取県産として44科438種の真正クモ類(クモガタ綱クモ目)の記録をまとめた。次の26種は鳥取県内初記録となる:イトグモ, テナガマシラグモ, ナルトミダニグモ, コガネヒメグモ, マダラヒメグモ, クロササヒメグモ, クロテナガグモ, シバサラグモ, タイリクコサラグモ, ズブトヌカグモ, チュウガタシロカネグモ, チクニドヨウグモ, キタドヨウグモ, キヌアシナガグモ, オオクマヤミイロオニグモ, シロゴミグモ, クマダギンナガゴミグモ,Lathysdihamata Paik 1979,ムナキワシグモ, ヤマヨリメケムリグモ, モリメキリグモ, アシダカグモ, トライコアシダカグモ, チクニエビスグモ, ヤガタハエトリ, ナカヒラハエトリ。|On the basis of literature records and specimens newly obtained, a total of 438 species belonging to 44 familes of spiders (Arachnida, Araneae) from Tottori Prefecture, western Honshu, Japan are catalogued. Following 26 species are recorded as new to spider fauna of Tottori Prefecture: Loxosceles rufescens (Duf'our, 1820), Masirana longimana Yaginuma, 1970, Ischnothyreus narutomii (Nakatsudi, 1942), Chrysso scintillans (Thorell,1895), Steatoda triangulosa (Walckenaer, 1802) , Thymoites okumae (Yoshida, 1988), Bathyphantes robustus Oi, 1960, Neriene herbosa (Oi, 1960), Parasisis amurensis Eskov, 1984, Saitonia orientalis (Oi, 1960), Leucauge blanda (L.     Increase of Recognizable Label Number with Optical Passive Waveguide Circuits for Recognition of Encoded 4- and 8-Bit BPSK Labels

    Optical label processing is expected to reduce power consumption in label switching network nodes. Previously, we proposed passive waveguide circuits for the recognition of BPSK labels with a theoretically infinite contrast ratio. The recognizable label number was limited to four and eight for 4-bit and 8-bit BPSK labels, respectively. In this paper, we propose methods to increase the recognizable label number. The proposed circuits can recognize eight and sixteen labels of 4-bit BPSK codes with a contrast ratio of 4.00 and 2.78, respectively. As 8-bit BSPK codes, 64, 128, and 256 labels can be recognized with a contrast ratio of 4.00, 2.78, and 1.65, respectively. In recognition of all encoded labels, that is, 16 and 256 labels for 4-bit and 8-bit BPSK labels, a reference signal is employed to identify the sign of the optical output signals. The effect of phase deviation and loss along the optical waveguides of the devices is also discussed

    Oocyte collection and in vitro maturation after train transportation of human follicular fluid aspirated from resected non-stimulated ovaries of patients with endometrial adenocarcinoma

    PurposeImmature human oocytes from resected ovaries can be used for research and fertility preservation, though it is unknown whether it is feasible to transport oocytes for these purposes. This study examined in vitro maturation (IVM) outcomes after the transportation of human follicular fluid (HFF) containing oocytes. MethodsFourteen patients with endometrial adenocarcinoma were enrolled. Oocytes obtained from the resected ovaries of seven patients were transported with HFF by railway (transportation group). Samples of HFF from the other seven patients were not transported, and IVM was performed promptly (non-transportation group). The results of oocyte retrieval and IVM were compared. ResultsThe average ages in the transportation and non-transportation groups were 40.12.0 and 39.6 +/- 1.8years, respectively, and the average numbers of collected oocytes were 8.1 +/- 8.4 and 5.1 +/- 5.1, respectively. There was a significant negative correlation between the number of collected oocytes and age. The proportions of oocytes that reached meiosis II (maturation rate) after IVM were 38.6% and 69.2% in the transportation and non-transportation groups, respectively (P=0.013). ConclusionIn this preliminary study, the usefulness of the transportation of HFF was limited. Further studies on maintaining oocyte normality during transportation are necessary for becoming the effective method for research and clinical use
