    It is proposed to use the energy behavior of mean multiplicities of jets propagating in a nuclear medium as the thermometer of this medium during the collision phases.     Hypercommutative operad as a homotopy quotient of BV

    We give an explicit formula for a quasi-isomorphism between the operads Hycomm (the homology of the moduli space of stable genus 0 curves) and BV/Δ\Delta (the homotopy quotient of Batalin-Vilkovisky operad by the BV-operator). In other words we derive an equivalence of Hycomm-algebras and BV-algebras enhanced with a homotopy that trivializes the BV-operator. These formulas are given in terms of the Givental graphs, and are proved in two different ways. One proof uses the Givental group action, and the other proof goes through a chain of explicit formulas on resolutions of Hycomm and BV. The second approach gives, in particular, a homological explanation of the Givental group action on Hycomm-algebras.Comment: minor corrections added, to appear in Comm.Math.Phy

    Tissue-engineered cardiac patch for advanced functional maturation of human ESC-derived cardiomyocytes.

    Human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hESC-CMs) provide a promising source for cell therapy and drug screening. Several high-yield protocols exist for hESC-CM production; however, methods to significantly advance hESC-CM maturation are still lacking. Building on our previous experience with mouse ESC-CMs, we investigated the effects of 3-dimensional (3D) tissue-engineered culture environment and cardiomyocyte purity on structural and functional maturation of hESC-CMs. 2D monolayer and 3D fibrin-based cardiac patch cultures were generated using dissociated cells from differentiated Hes2 embryoid bodies containing varying percentage (48-90%) of CD172a (SIRPA)-positive cardiomyocytes. hESC-CMs within the patch were aligned uniformly by locally controlling the direction of passive tension. Compared to hESC-CMs in age (2 weeks) and purity (48-65%) matched 2D monolayers, hESC-CMs in 3D patches exhibited significantly higher conduction velocities (CVs), longer sarcomeres (2.09 ± 0.02 vs. 1.77 ± 0.01 μm), and enhanced expression of genes involved in cardiac contractile function, including cTnT, αMHC, CASQ2 and SERCA2. The CVs in cardiac patches increased with cardiomyocyte purity, reaching 25.1 cm/s in patches constructed with 90% hESC-CMs. Maximum contractile force amplitudes and active stresses of cardiac patches averaged to 3.0 ± 1.1 mN and 11.8 ± 4.5 mN/mm(2), respectively. Moreover, contractile force per input cardiomyocyte averaged to 5.7 ± 1.1 nN/cell and showed a negative correlation with hESC-CM purity. Finally, patches exhibited significant positive inotropy with isoproterenol administration (1.7 ± 0.3-fold force increase, EC50 = 95.1 nm). These results demonstrate highly advanced levels of hESC-CM maturation after 2 weeks of 3D cardiac patch culture and carry important implications for future drug development and cell therapy studies

    The article represents a brief trace of establishment of «subject of life» concept in psychology. The problem of individual subject of humane life is very complicated. The subject of humane life is the bearer of psyche also the issue of final regulation (self-regulation) of basic psychological determinations (motif, edge, communication, activity). The paper begins with rendering internal world of a man, its basic determinations and manifestations. When psychological phenomena are implemented, all basic psychological determinations controlled by the subject of life are manifested to a greater or less extent. The authors continue with the characteristics of basic levels of individual subject of life (the human as an individual, as a subject and as a personality). The individuality is seen as any integrative connection of individual, subject of activity and personality. The authors emphasize the notion of subject and personality.The basic psychological determinations (motive, way, communication, activity) on the level of individual, subject and personality are distinguished. The article shows the subject of professional activities as a form of subject of activities. From these positions, the authors suggest methodological approach to some problems of professional education. The special attention is paid to formation of professional individuality and problems of its harmony and disharmony (including the alienation of personality and her emotional burnout) in the article.В статье рассматриваются этапы становления идеи субъекта человеческой жизни в психологии, который является носителем психики, а также источником конечной регуляции (саморегуляции) базовых психологических детерминаций (мотивы, образы, формы общения и действия). Дается представление о внутреннем мире человека, его базовых детерминациях и проявлениях. При реализации психических явлений в большей или меньшей мере манифестируются (разыгрываются) базовые детерминации психики под «управлением» индивидуального субъекта жизни. Предлагается характеристика основных уровней индивидуального субъекта человеческой жизни (человек как индивид, как субъект и как личность). Индивидуальность понимается как интегративное объединение индивида, субъекта деятельности и личности. Особое внимание уделяется понятию субъекта и личности. При этом базовые детерминанты психики (мотив, образ, общение, деятельность) на уровне индивида, субъекта деятельности и личности различаются. Субъект профессиональной деятельности рассматривается как частный случай субъекта деятельности. Предлагается методологический подход к некоторым проблемам профессионального образования. Рассматриваются вопросы становления профессиональной индивидуальности и проблемы ее гармонии и дисгармонии (включая отчуждение личности в трудовой деятельности и ее эмоциональное выгорание)
