Affective disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome
The research was conducted among 625 patients aged from 25 to 70years with abdominal obesity (51,2 % women and 48,8 % men). Affective disorders (depressed mood) were revealed in 42,9 % of patients with various metabolic syndrome (MS) components. Affective disorders caused appearance and further advance of MS components, having negative influence on its course. Exclusive reaction at LHC and RHIC
We evaluate differential distributions for the four-body reaction. The amplitude for the process is calculated in the Regge
approach including many diagrams. We make predictions for possible future
experiments at RHIC and LHC energies. Very large cross sections are found which
is partially due to interference of a few mechanisms. Presence of several
interfering mechanisms precludes extraction of the elastic
scattering cross section. Absorption effects are estimated. Differential
distributions in pseudorapidity, rapidity, invariant two-pion mass,
transverse-momentum and energy distributions of neutrons are presented for
proton-proton collisions at = 500 GeV (RHIC) and = 0.9,

Translational mobility of water molecules and Li+, F-, and Al3+ ions in aqueous solutions of LiCl, KF, and Al(NO3)3
The concentration dependences of the overall self-diffusion coefficients of water molecules, F- and Li+ ions, and [Al3+(H2O)6] hydrated ions measured in aqueous solutions of LiCl, KF, and Al(NO3)3 are discussed. An analysis of the whole set of experimental results shows that translational mobility of water molecules in solutions of electrolytes is largely determined by the degree of hydration of the ions and is virtually independent of their translational mobility; translational mobilities of the ions themselves depend on the structural characteristics of their hydration sheaths and the structure of water around them
Optimization of the Algorithm for Choosing the Surgical Treatment of Anterior Recurrent Instability of the Shoulder Joint
Introduction. Chronic recurrent instability of the shoulder joint is a frequent outcome of conservative treatment oftraumatic dislocation of the shoulder (2.8–30 % of cases). Preoperative examination largely determines the outcome of surgical treatment of this pathology.The aim of the study was to provide a clinical assessment of the developed algorithm for the surgical treatment of patients with recurrent anterior shoulder joint instability. Materials and methods. The results of treatment of 98 patients with recurrent anterior shoulder joint instability were studied. Preoperative examination included clinical tests, MRI or CT with calculation of bone loss. Fifty-six patients (57.1 %) underwent Bankart operation, 14 patients (14.3 %) – Latarjet operation. Twenty-three patients (23.5 %) underwent Bankart + Remplissage surgery, and 5 (5.1 %) – Latarjet + remplissage. The result was assessed on the ROWE scale.Results. Bone defects significant in the formation of instability (“glenoid off track”) were found in 19.4 % of patients, and “glenoid on track” – in 80.6 %. According to the proposed algorithm for treating patients with anterior recurrent instability of the shoulder joint, the “glenoid off track” state was an indication for Latarjet surgery. When “glenoid on track” was used, indications for Bankart operation were displayed. The remplissage procedure was indicated in case of the presence of a Hill-Sachs grade 3 defect or the presence of hyperelasticity of the tissues of the shoulder joint. The mean ROWE score for the entire group of patients before surgery was 41.5 ± 12.8 points, and 15 months after sur gery – 94.9 ± 3.4 points. Two recurrent dislocations were revealed, one of which was associated with repeated trauma, and the other – with an incorrect choice of stabilization technique. One complication (axillary nerve neuropathy) was observed, which was arrested conservatively.Conclusions. The proposed algorithm allowed us to obtain positive results in 97.9 % of cases
Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Antithrombotic Therapy in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease: Risk Factors, Pathogenesis and Treatment
Aim. Description of risk factors, pathogenesis and treatment strategies of gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) in the course of antithrombotic therapy in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Key points. Risk factors of GIB during antithrombotic therapy in CHD patients include: GIB, gastric and/or duodenal ulcer in the history, reflux esophagitis, presence of H. pylori, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticula, haemorrhoids, angiodysplasia, gastrointestinal neoplasia, age above 65 years, concomitant treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), glomerular filtration rate <50 mL/min, high doses of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) ≥3 in HAS-BLED score. Pathogenesis of GIB in the course of antithrombotic therapy is associated with systemic hypocoagulation and local damaging effects of these drugs. Strategies of GIB treatment during DOAC therapy in patients with CHD are determined by severity of bleeding and threat to life. Aside to standard conservative measures, endoscopic or surgical haemostasis requires usage of antidotes to suppress effects of DOACs and other specific drugs in severe cases.Conclusion. GIB associated with antithrombotic therapy in CHD patients poses a serious medical problem of growing importance with wider application of anticoagulant drugs. Antithrombotic therapy requires accurate decision making, risk assessment, careful monitoring of the patient’s condition and timely diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders following good rationale in GIB prevention

Sociological Research of the Adherence of Medical Students to Employment by Specialty Received at a University
Background. A significant number of medical students refuse to work on a specialty obtained in medical universities after its completion or during the first years of professional activity.Purpose of the study: to conduct a sociological study of the adherence of students of a medical university to employment in a specialty received at a university, as well as factors of its motivation.Methods. A sociological survey of graduate students of ISMU was conducted using specially designed questionnaires.Results. It was revealed that more than 5 % of students do not plan to work on the received specialty after graduating from a medical university. Only every fourth respondent after graduation is going to return to his place of permanent residence, one of four intends not to return, and half have not yet decided on the choice of a further place of work and residence. Work with undergraduates about bringing them to the territory of the initial residence is organized by the administration of municipal entities and medical organizations poorly. Meanwhile, the requirements of graduates presented to a potential employer in terms of the level of wages and the creation of conditions for residence and professional activity are not overstated.Conclusion. Working with graduates and taking specific steps to implement their requirements is the most logical option for joint activities of medical universities, health authorities, administrations of medical organizations and local self-government bodies to create favorable conditions for securing young professionals in their chosen field of activity
