Recent outburst of the young star V1180 Cas
We report on the ongoing outburst of the young variable V1180 Cas, which is
known to display characteristics in common with EXor eruptive variables. We
present results that support the scenario of an accretion-driven nature of the
brightness variations of the object and provide the first evidence of jet
structures around the source. We monitored the recent flux variations of the
target in the Rc, J, H, and K bands. New optical and near-IR spectra taken
during the current high state of V1180 Cas are presented, in conjunction with
H2 narrow-band imaging of the source. Observed near-IR colour variations are
analogous to those observed in EXors and consistent with excess emission
originating from an accretion event. The spectra show numerous emission lines,
which indicates accretion, ejection of matter, and an active disc. Using
optical and near-IR emission features we derive a mass accretion rate of ~3 E-8
Msun/yr, which is an order of magnitude lower than previous estimates. In
addition, a mass loss rate of ~4 E-9 and ~4 E-10 Msun/yr are estimated from
atomic forbidden lines and H2, respectively. Our H2 imaging reveals two bright
knots of emission around the source and the nearby optically invisible star
V1180 Cas B, clearly indicative of mass-loss phenomena. Higher resolution
observations of the detected jet will help to clarify whether V1180 Cas is the
driving source and to determine the relation between the observed knots.Comment: Accepted as Letter in A&A; 4 pages, 3 figure
Volume of the quantum mechanical state space
The volume of the quantum mechanical state space over -dimensional real,
complex and quaternionic Hilbert-spaces with respect to the canonical Euclidean
measure is computed, and explicit formulas are presented for the expected value
of the determinant in the general setting too. The case when the state space is
endowed with a monotone metric or a pull-back metric is considered too, we give
formulas to compute the volume of the state space with respect to the given
Riemannian metric. We present the volume of the space of qubits with respect to
various monotone metrics. It turns out that the volume of the space of qubits
can be infinite too. We characterize those monotone metrics which generates

The Semantic and Etymological Peculiarities of the Verbs of Blame
The article deals with the semantic analysis of the verbs of blame (brawl, castigate, condemn, curse, damn, lecture, rate, rebuke, reprehend, reprimand, reproach, reprobate, reprove, row, strafe, swear, trounce) in the perspective of semantics, as well as etymology. In accordance with the dominant cross-disciplinary approach to the linguistic research, the semantics of the verbs under study is analyzed in correlation with the relevant extra-linguistic data. It reveals the necessity of using some data of cognitive linguistics together with etymological methods of semantic analysis. The complex of cognitive and etymological methods helps to determine the functioning of the verbs in different kinds of discourse, and to find the closest equivalent in the Russian language
Preclinical Evaluation of Antitumor Efficacy of a New Radiopharmaceutical Based on Thermoresponsive Carrier and Samarium-153
This work is devoted to studying the in vivo antitumor efficacy of the new injection radiopharmaceutical based on thermoresponsive polymer and β−-emitting radionuclide samarium-153 (153Sm-KARP-CheM). The study of in vivo antitumor efficacy was performed using mice F1 and C57Bl/6 with transplanted subcutaneously sarcoma S37 and melanoma B16, respectively. The animals received single intratumoral bolus injections of 37 MBq (1 mCi), or 18.5 MBq (0.5 mCi) of 153Sm-KARP-CheM, or saline in a volume 0.1 ml. The efficacy of antitumortreatment was evaluated using tumor growth inhibition index (TGI, %) and increase of average life span (ILS, %). The most meaningful therapeutic efficacy after intratumoral injection of 153Sm-KARPCheM was observed in melanoma-bearing mice C57Bl/6. The highest values of TGI for melanoma B16 were 79.5% and 79.6% after treatment with 18.5 MBq or 37 MBq, respectively. An increase of average life span by 17.1% was found in group of melanoma-bearing mice treated with 37 MBq of 153Sm-KARP-CheM only. Tumor growth inhibition of sarcoma S37 was slightly lower as compared with melanoma B16: 62.5% and 59.0% in 37 MBq and 18.5 MBq groups, respectively. 153Sm-KARP-CheM didn’t increase average life span of treated animals. In conclusion, 153Sm-KARP-CheM seems to be effective radiopharmaceutical for local tumor radiotherapy.

Sсandium(III) Beta-diketonate Derivatives as Precursors for Oxide Film Deposition by CVD
AbstractComplexes with acetylacetone Sc(acac)3, dipivaloylmethane Sc(thd)3, 2,2,6,6–tetramethyl-4-fluoro-3,5-heptanedione Sc(tfhd)3, pivaloyltrifluoroacetone Sc(ptac)3, trifluoroacetylacetone Sc(tfac)3, and hexafluoroacetylacetone Sc(hfac)3 were synthesized, purified and identified by elemental analysis, m.p., IR and NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. The thermal behaviour of the synthesized compounds in the solid state was investigated by the method of difference-scanning calorimetry in vacuum. As a result the thermodynamic characteristics of the melting processes were determined. The temperature dependences of saturated and unsaturated vapour pressure of complexes under study were measured by static method with membrane-gauge manometers. The average molecular weight of gas calculated from the experimental data on unsaturated vapours using ideal gas law was close to the molecular weight of monomer for all investigated compounds. Decomposition temperatures of compounds under study were defined as the temperature above that pressure changes became irreversible. The information about melting and decomposition processes were taken into account at measuring saturated vapour pressure of complexes. The row of volatility Sc(hfac)3 > Sc(ptac)3 > Sc(tfac)3 > Sc(thd)3 ≥ Sc(tfhd)3 > Sc(acac)3 was determined from the p–T dependences obtained. Above information about thermal behaviour of complexes enabled one to use it as a guide for CVD experiments aimed at achieving oxide films with high optical properties. Precursor chosen for film deposition was Sc(thd)3 The Sc2O3 film deposition conditions were following: the gas-carrier rate 1 l/h, He gas-reagent rate 10 l/h, total pressure 10 Torr, evaporator temperature 105-110̊С, substrate temperature 450- 650̊С, substrate Si(100). Ellipsometry was applied to characterize the film thickness and refractive index. The morphology and the composition of the films were determined with XPS and SEM
External Electromagnetic Fields of a Slowly Rotating Magnetized Star with Gravitomagnetic Charge
We study Maxwell equations in the external background spacetime of a slowly
rotating magnetized NUT star and find analytical solutions for the exterior
electric fields after separating the equations of electric field into angular
and radial parts in the lowest order approximation. The star is considered
isolated and in vacuum, with dipolar magnetic field aligned with the axis of
rotation. The contribution to the external electric field of star from the NUT

Towards a representative reference for MRI-based human axon radius assessment using light microscopy
Non-invasive assessment of axon radii via MRI bears great potential for clinical and neuroscience research as it is a main determinant of the neuronal conduction velocity. However, there is a lack of representative histological reference data at the scale of the cross-section of MRI voxels for validating the MRI-visible, effective radius (reff). Because the current gold standard stems from neuroanatomical studies designed to estimate the bulk-determined arithmetic mean radius (rarith) on small ensembles of axons, it is unsuited to estimate the tail-weighted reff. We propose CNN-based segmentation on high-resolution, large-scale light microscopy (lsLM) data to generate a representative reference for reff. In a human corpus callosum, we assessed estimation accuracy and bias of rarith and reff. Furthermore, we investigated whether mapping anatomy-related variation of rarith and reff is confounded by low-frequency variation of the image intensity, e.g., due to staining heterogeneity. Finally, we analyzed the error due to outstandingly large axons in reff. Compared to rarith, reff was estimated with higher accuracy (maximum normalized-root-mean-square-error of reff: 8.5 %; rarith: 19.5 %) and lower bias (maximum absolute normalized-mean-bias-error of reff: 4.8 %; rarith: 13.4 %). While rarith was confounded by variation of the image intensity, variation of reff seemed anatomy-related. The largest axons contributed between 0.8 % and 2.9 % to reff. In conclusion, the proposed method is a step towards representatively estimating reff at MRI voxel resolution. Further investigations are required to assess generalization to other brains and brain areas with different axon radii distributions
