Aqueous Humor Outflow Structure and Function Imaging At the Bench and Bedside: A Review.
Anterior segment glaucoma clinical care and research has recently gained new focus because of novel imaging modalities and the advent of angle-based surgical treatments. Traditional investigation drawn to the trabecular meshwork now emphasizes the entire conventional aqueous humor outflow (AHO) pathway from the anterior chamber to the episcleral vein. AHO investigation can be divided into structural and functional assessments using different methods. The historical basis for studying the anterior segment of the eye and AHO in glaucoma is discussed. Structural studies of AHO are reviewed and include traditional pathological approaches to modern tools such as multi-model two-photon microscopy and optical coherence tomography. Functional assessment focuses on visualizing AHO itself through a variety of non-real-time and real-time techniques such as aqueous angiography. Implications of distal outflow resistance and segmental AHO are discussed with an emphasis on melding bench-side research to viable clinical applications. Through the development of an improved structure: function relationship for AHO in the anterior segment of the normal and diseased eye, a better understanding of the eye with improved therapeutics may be developed
Supersymmetric Higgs Singlet Effects on B-Meson FCNC Observables at Large tan(beta)
Higgs singlet superfields are usually present in most extensions of the
Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) that address the mu-problem, such
as the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) and the Minimal
Nonminimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MNSSM). Employing a gauge- and
flavour-covariant effective Lagrangian formalism, we show how the singlet Higgs
bosons of such theories can have significant contributions to B-meson
flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) observables for large values of
at the 1-loop level. Illustrative results
are presented including effects on the B_s and B_d mass differences and on the
rare decay . In particular, we find that depending on the
actual value of the lightest singlet pseudoscalar mass in the NMSSM, the
branching ratio for can be enhanced or even suppressed with

Galaxy Clusters Selected via the Sunyaev–Zel'dovich Effect in the SPTpol 100-square-degree Survey
We present a catalog of galaxy cluster candidates detected in 100 square degrees surveyed with the SPTpol receiver on the South Pole Telescope. The catalog contains 89 candidates detected with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 4.6. The candidates are selected using the Sunyaev–Zel'dovich effect at 95 and 150 GHz. Using both space- and ground-based optical and infrared telescopes, we have confirmed 81 candidates as galaxy clusters. We use these follow-up images and archival images to estimate photometric redshifts for 66 galaxy clusters and spectroscopic observations to obtain redshifts for 13 systems. An additional two galaxy clusters are confirmed using the overdensity of near-infrared galaxies only and are presented without redshifts. We find that 15 candidates (18% of the total sample) are at redshift z ≥ 1.0, with a maximum confirmed redshift of z_(max) = 1.38±0.10. We expect this catalog to contain every galaxy cluster with M_(500c) > 2.6×10¹⁴M⊙h⁻¹₇₀ and z > 0.25 in the survey area. The mass threshold is approximately constant above z = 0.25, and the complete catalog has a median mass of approximately M_(500c) > 2.7×10¹⁴M⊙h⁻¹₇₀. Compared to previous SPT works, the increased depth of the millimeter-wave data (11.2 and 6.5 μK-arcmin at 95 and 150 GHz, respectively) makes it possible to find more galaxy clusters at high redshift and lower mass

The feasibility of remote sensing of current flows in the ocean and the remote sensing of ocean currents by backscattering cross section techniques was studied. It was established that for capillary waves, small scale currents could be accurately measured through observation of wave kinematics. Drastic modifications of waves by changing currents were noted. The development of new methods for the measurement of capillary waves are discussed. Improvement methods to resolve data processing problems are suggested
Limits from Weak Gravity Conjecture on Dark Energy Models
The weak gravity conjecture has been proposed as a criterion to distinguish
the landscape from the swampland in string theory. As an application in
cosmology of this conjecture, we use it to impose theoretical constraint on
parameters of two types of dark energy models. Our analysis indicates that the
Chaplygin-gas-type models realized in quintessence field are in the swampland,
whereas the power-low decay model of the variable cosmological constant can

Charged and Neutral Currents in a 3-3-1 Model with Right-Handed Neutrinos
The charged and the neutral currents are obtained by using a formal
algebraical approach (developed and applied by the author) within the exact
solution of a 3-3-1 gauge model with right-handed neutrinos. The entire
Standard Model phenomenology is recovered without imposing any supplemental
condition, but only by choosing an adecquate set of parameters from the very
beginning of the calculus. A new and rich phenomenology regarding the particles
and their currents occurs as well. The appealing feature of our results resides
in the exact expressions of the currents which need not the adjustment usually
due to the small mixing angle between neutral bosons and
(like in the most of the papers in the literature treating the
same issue). The required mixing was considered and aleready performed as an
intermediate step by the solving method itself, since the physical eigenstates
