    Get PDF
Abstract-Sign language is a lingua among the speech and the hearing impaired community. It is hard for most people who are not familiar with sign language to communicate without an interpreter. Sign language recognition appertains to track and recognize the meaningful emotion of human made with fingers, hands, head, arms, face etc. The technique that has been proposed in this work, transcribes the gestures from a sign language to a spoken language which is easily understood by the hearing. The gestures that have been translated include alphabets, words from static images. This becomes more important for the people who completely rely on the gestural sign language for communication tries to communicate with a person who does not understand the sign language. We aim at representing features which will be learned by a technique known as convolutional neural networks (CNN), contains four types of layers: convolution layers, pooling/subsampling layers, non-linear layers, and fully connected layers. The new representation is expected to capture various image features and complex non-linear feature interactions. A softmax layer will be used to recognize signs

Virtue, wealth, happiness, and home/body are considered important for the lives of the people of the world. The first of them is a virtue. Morality is essential for individual life. All Tamil literature is based on the emphasis on morality. In Ramaavatharam, the incarnation of Tirumal, in his way of life, it is mentioned in the article on the virtue of Rama in his life, about his love and brotherhood without getting angry, to make sacrifices with love and brotherhood, to be friendly with good people, and to the manner in which he attains the Lord in the way of grace, and the manner in which he attains to the Lord in the way of grace, and the manner in which Rama has performed a hymn in his life, and how the Azhwars composed the hymns of the Lord as their refuge. The morality of the eleven scriptures found in the Pathinen Kilkanakku books is explained as evidence. The concepts of virtue and the semantic explanation of virtue are given. The virtues found in the shrines where the Azhwars sang imagining Thirumala as Rama is explained

Folk literature is the mirror of society. Folk literature reflects the experiences and feelings of the rural people. The customs, rituals, ceremonies and traditions of the country people are expressed in folk literature. The nature of folk literature is seen in many ways. One of them is Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the Vaishnava literatry work. The Alwars composed hymns describing the virtues of Tirumal's marriage and incarnations and showed it up in folk literature. Alwars also sung many lullabies. They have sung a folk song called "Pallandu Vaalththu”. The nature of a woman who is in love with God can be known through the proverbs. Alwars have shown that they celebrated festivals two thousand years ago itself. The repetition of a word in folk literature is one of its characteristics. The opinions of scholars related to folklore are explained in this article. This article reflects the nature of folk literature in Nalayira Divya Prabandham

Influence of rootstock scion combinations on morpho-physiological traits in Coffee

    Get PDF
An experiment was conducted using coffee seedlings to find out the influence of rootstock scion interactions on morpho-physiological traits. Commercially important arabica cultivars such as S.795, Sln.10 and S.4202 were grafted on drought tolerant rootstocks of arabica cultivars such as Sln.9, Sln.5 (B), Sln.11and two high vigour robusta cultivars like S.274 and C x R. Results on morpho-physiological traits indicated significant differences between rootstock scion combinations. The interaction effects in comparison with pure line seedlings of scion materials indicated that, the robusta rootstocks being diploid species (2n=22), significantly reduced the growth of tetraploid (2n=44) arabica scion materials. Results on physiological and morphological traits indicated that the higher vigour in arabica/arabica combinations compared to robusta/arabica and self graft combinations might be due to the influence of genetically divergent rootstocks of same species. Correlation analysis indicated significant positive relationship between specific leaf area and absolute growth rate (r=0.560), net assimilation rate (r=0.498) and relative leaf growth rate (r=0.587) and also leaf area duration with absolute growth rate (r=0.753) indicating role of specific leaf area and leaf area duration in governing growth and development of coffee graft combinations. The Sln.9 and Sln.5B rootstocks for S.4202 scion, Sln.5B and Sln.11 for Sln.10 scion and Sln.9 and Sln.5B rootstocks for S.795 scion were found to be efficient and could be field evaluated for yielding performance

    Get PDF
A new heuristic has been developed to solve the problem in parallel flow line scheduling. It involves the minimization of the makespan by the optimal allocation of a finite number of jobs to finite number of lines in the first phase and the optimal sequencing of allocated jobs in each line in the second phase. Here new heuristic and genetic algorithm for analyzing the parallel flow line scheduling are discussed and executed on a set of randomly generated problems. The results obtained for the test problems suggest that the developed new heuristic can be used successfully to solve large scale parallel flow line scheduling problems
