    In this comment to [S. Lenjer, O. F. Schirmer, H. Hesse, and Th. W. Kool, Phys. Rev. B {\bf 66}, 165106 (2002)] we discuss the electronic structure of oxygen vacancies in perovskites. First principles computations are in favour of rather deep levels in these vacancies, and Lenjer et al suggest that the electrons' interaction energy is negative, but data on electroconductivity are against.Comment: 2 pages, no figure

    Non differentiable large-deviation functionals in boundary-driven diffusive systems

    We study the probability of arbitrary density profiles in conserving diffusive fields which are driven by the boundaries. We demonstrate the existence of singularities in the large-deviation functional, the direct analog of the free-energy in non-equilibrium systems. These singularities are unique to non-equilibrium systems and are a direct consequence of the breaking of time-reversal symmetry. This is demonstrated in an exactly-solvable model and also in numerical simulations on a boundary-driven Ising model. We argue that this singular behavior is expected to occur in models where the compressibility has a deep enough minimum. The mechanism is explained using a simple model.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

    Digital agriculture informational resources in local and international databases

    The article reviews informational resources on precision and digital agriculture in international cross-disciplinal and sectoral international and local databases. The databases Web of Science, Scopus, AGRIS (by FAO UN) and Engineering infrastructure of Agriculture, Rosinformagrotech, AGROS (by Central Scientific Agricultural Library) with the retrieval requests β€œDigital agriculture”, β€œPrecision Agriculture” were analyzed. The authors estimated the dynamics of document flows to the AGROS database and confirmed strong growth of volume of local publications on precision agriculture to the level demonstrating technology adoption of precision agriculture. Meanwhile the level of document flow on digital agriculture is at the starting level. Analysis of most frequent publications on the topic showed that there’s no local specialized journals on precision agriculture, most frequently publications appeared in local journals such as β€œMachinery and equipment for rural areas”, β€œSoil science and agrochemistry”, β€œAgricultural machinery and technology”. Predominantly materials were published in specialized foreign journals β€œComputers and electronics in agriculture” and β€œPrecision agriculture”. Most of the documents were obtained from WOS and Scopus databases, but a lot of them are irrelevant. While searching for foreign documents it makes sense to use all the databases available, but most of the full-size texts in open access are available in the AGRIS database. In the same way AGROS database provide a wide range of full-size texts in the Russian language. Both AGROS and AGRIS databases showed high efficiency of search with most relevant documents in search results since both databases use thesaurus as a linguistic tool

    The findings of monitoring of repertoire of and demand for library and information services (document, reference, bibliographic awareness, cultural and educational services) are discussed. The mentioned services are available through the CSAL website. The types and forms of services are analyzed, their place and demand for them are discussed. The focus is made on the online services providing access of in-house information resources, e. g. e-libraries, e-catalogs, virtual exhibitions, etc. The terminological analysis of services titles as compared to the new national standard of library information services was executed. It was revealed that the services titles meet the standardized terms and definitions. The degrees of demand for difference services are estimated as active, fluctuating and decreasing. To improve library and bibliographic services and information support of science for agro-industrial complex, the authors recommend: to study products and services of unstable and decreasing demand, to load explicit list of services in the Information Services section, to design scientist personal accounts, to make it possible for the users to take part in selecting documents for digitization and to receive e-newsletter on new library acquisitions, etc. The authors conclude that CSAL provide the wide range of library information services which is essential to increase accessibility and friendliness of Library-generated information products, to improve information support of research in agricultural industries. The findings will be used in planning user library and information services.     In an ever-evolving technological industry, the oil and gas sector is already moving forward through the adaptation of Industry 4.0 and the adaptation of advanced cyber technologies through Oil and Gas 4.0. As IT/OT (information technology/operational technology) systems are evolving technologically, so are the cyber security threats faced by the offshore oil and gas assets. This paper aims to raise the awareness of cyber security threats and the organizational and technical measures that need to be adopted by the oil and gas industry for remote and complex assets in the upstream sector. A comprehensive literature review covering the areas of new IT/OT systems integration and cyber security risk analysis and management is presented. The results of a survey on the subject of cyber security for offshore oil and gas assets are also presented, and they provide valuable insight into the current industry culture and the perception of cyber security concepts. The importance of organizational culture, personnel training and involvement, as well as corporate engagement and support in the subject of cyber security is highlighted.</jats:p

    The Central Scientific Agricultural Library’s system of the agrarian science information support is examined. The Library strives to make the content available online to the maximum. Most of its information services are offered both in conventional and online formats. For the recent 26 years the Library’s products have been being generated in digital formats and are accessible via the Library’s www-site in a varying degree. The www-site serves as a billboard promoting the Library’s events and activities, as well as the reading environment for the users retrieving information. The system of agrarian researcher awareness-building includes alert informing, current informing, and selective dissemination of information. The main information source is the CSAL collection comprising above 3 millions of depository items. On this basis of information products are generated: bibliographic, abstract and full-text databases, bibliographic and abstract publications, and electronic libraries. The key information product is the AGROS database comprising information on books and articles in 42 languages of the world of the total volume of over 1.95 million records. The database provides efficient identifying and subject-specific search owing to target- developed information retrieval languages: the information retrieval thesaurus in agriculture and foods, RUSMARC format.
