Interplay of polarization geometry and rotational dynamics in high harmonic generation from coherently rotating linear molecule

Recent reports on intense-field pump-probe experiments for high harmonic generation from coherently rotating linear molecules, have revealed remarkable characteristic effects of the simultaneous variation of the polarization geometry and the time delay on the high harmonic signals. We analyze the effects and give a unified theoretical account of the experimental observationsComment: 4 pages, 5 figure

Data Reductions and Combinatorial Bounds for Improved Approximation Algorithms

Kernelization algorithms in the context of Parameterized Complexity are often based on a combination of reduction rules and combinatorial insights. We will expose in this paper a similar strategy for obtaining polynomial-time approximation algorithms. Our method features the use of approximation-preserving reductions, akin to the notion of parameterized reductions. We exemplify this method to obtain the currently best approximation algorithms for \textsc{Harmless Set}, \textsc{Differential} and \textsc{Multiple Nonblocker}, all of them can be considered in the context of securing networks or information propagation

Contributing Factors to Under-Five Child Malnutrition in Rural Bangladesh

Background and objectives: Bangladesh has the highest malnutrition rates in the world. The main objective of this study is to identify and determine the main factors for child malnutrition among children under the age 5 years in rural Bangladesh. Material and methods: This research was conducted in rural areas at Meherpur district in Bangladesh. Convenience sampling method is used and 85 under 5 child information is collected through a structured questionnaire. The information’s of child’s are gathered from the mothers of the child. Malnourished children is measured by using APLS method and WHO Child Growth Standard Median Index. Binary logistic regression model is used to find out the key factors of malnutrition. Results: It is found that family income, maintain proper diet during pregnancy period, proper diet maintain for children have negative significant (p\u3c0.05) effect on child malnutrition. Conclusion: The magnitude of the child’s malnutrition still is of great concern in Bangladesh. Since, poverty, imbalanced diet during pregnancy period and imbalanced diet for under 5 children influences to malnutrition are significantly associated with high prevalence of malnutrition, so government and people should reduce these factor to reduce malnutrition in rural area of Bangladesh

Development of Type Curves for Gas Production from Hydraulically Fractured Horizontal Wells in Unconventional Reservoirs

Unconventional gas reservoirs represent a long-term global source of natural gas. Hydraulic fracturing combined with horizontal drilling has turned unproductive unconventional gas reservoirs into the largest natural gas fields in the world. At the early time of production, due to lack of needed variables, using numerical models is challenging, time consuming, and expensive. Production type curves are a dependable tool for predicting the performance of gas reservoirs.;The goal of this research was to develop a simple and reliable tool to predict the performance of the production of hydraulically fractured horizontal wells in unconventional gas reservoirs. A set of production type curves were developed. Two set of type curves were developed using the reservoir model. They represent the two flow regimes associated with the horizontal wells, the early time liner flow and the late time pseudo-radial (elliptical) flow. The dimensionless well length and the ratio of well length to reservoir length were found to influence the type curves significantly.;The impact of some of the reservoir parameters was reviewed. Drainage area, horizontal permeability, and vertical permeability were found not to impact type curves extensively. Reservoir thickness has a minor effect on type curves. Reservoir porosity has no effect on early production but significant effect on late production.;In addition to the reservoir parameters, a range of hydraulic fracture parameters was studied. Number of hydraulic fractures was found to have impact on type curves particularly with very low permeability. Fracture half length, fracture permeability, and fracture width were found to have no major affect on type curves
