    Effect of Demonetisation of on Indian High Denomination Currencies on Indian Stock Market and its Relationship with Foreign Exchange Rate

    This study examines the impact of the foreign exchange rate, i.e., US Dollar to Indian Rupee (USD/INR) on the Indian Stock Market Index (Nifty 50) during the demonetization of high denomination Indian currencies. A daily rate of return of Foreign exchange rate (USD/INR) and the Indian Stock Market Index (Nifty 50) were considered for the study. The Dummy variable was used to measure the effect of demonetization during Nov/Dec 2016. The period of study was restricted to 243 days from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017.     Cymodoceaceae is a family of flowering plants, sometimes known as the manatee-grass family,†the family Cymodoceaceae includes only marine species. The angiosperm phylogeny II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998), does recognize Cymodoceaceae and places it in the order Alismatales, in the clade monocots. They are marine hydrophytes that grow and complete their life cycle in a submerged condition, in a saline environment. Like terrestrial plant they obtain their energy from light through photosynthesis thus, they grow only in clear and shallow water, and at the suitable condition, they form beds or meadows. The family includes five genera, totalling 16 species of marine plants occurring in tropical seas and oceans (so-called seagrasses). Cymodoceaceae consist of five genera such as Amphibolis, Cymodocea, Halodule, Syringodium, and Thalassodendron. In this genera Cymodocea rotundata Ehrenb. and Hempr. Ex Asch. Cymodocea serrulata, (R.Br.) Asch. and Magnus, Halodule pinifolia (Miki) Hartog, Halodule uninervis (Forssk.) Asch and Syringodium isoetifolium (Asch.) are the species mostly adopted in Indian coastal region. These seagrass species have unique nature and wide application to the environment including human being. In this article botanical aspects, phytochemistry and ethnopharmacology of these five seagrass species belong to Cymodoceaceae family will be discussed

    Various encoding schemes have been introduced till date focusing on an effective image transmission scheme in presence of error-prone artifacts in wireless communication channel. Review of existing schemes of channel encoding systems infer that they are mostly inclined on compression scheme and less over problems of superior retention of signal retention as they lacks an essential consideration of network states. Therefore, the proposed manuscript introduces a cost effective lossless encoding scheme which ensures resilient transmission of different forms of images. Adopting an analytical research methodology, the modeling has been carried out to ensure that a novel series of encoding operation be performed over an image followed by an effective indexing mechanism. The study outcome confirms that proposed system outshines existing encoding schemes in every respect

    Performance Evaluation of wide Bandwidth RF Signal Generator Chip

    The work in this paper is to give an overview of the compact wide band RF signal generator board design, emphasizing on the analyses and evaluation of the performance characteristics corresponding to the output signal purity and stability. The paper describes the design aspects involved in developing a reliable RF generating source which includes details regarding the factors that have taken care for optimum output power, spectral purity and noise performance. The simulation results obtained from the tool given by Maxim integrated are used as reference to evaluate the actual board when it is realised. These results are shown here for reference. Design aspects such as the power supply, noise filtering, loop filter component selection board layout consideration along with easy and compact form factor is considered. The board contains not only the signal generator device but also an FPGA from Xilinx to control the device, to make the board more useful for future applications; the board also has an SDRAM and an USB controller. This paper mainly concentrates on to MAX2870 signal generator and simulation results obtained by EE-Sim tool. Since the actual board is still in the process of being developed, the comparison of the actual performance to the simulation performance may not be possible at this point of time but definitely is in pipeline

    STUDY OF PREVALENCE AND ANTIMICROBIAL SUSCEPTIBILITY PATTERN OF BACTERIAL ISOLATES IN A TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL

    Objective: Many human illnesses are bacterial in origin which can be treated with appropriate antibiotics and selection of these is mostly based on culture and sensitivity. The problem of antimicrobial resistance has burgeoned throughout the world both in inpatients and outpatients. We must work together to preserve the power of antimicrobials so as to use these effectively in treating diseases. The aim of the study is to find out the prevalence of infection and sensitivity pattern among bacterial pathogens in a tertiary care hospital.Methods: This retrospective study was carried out in Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal, Puducherry (U. T) to study the culture and sensitivity pattern of clinical isolates from blood, urine, sputum, wound, ear/throat swab for one year (June 2012- June 2013). The positive cultures and their antibiotic susceptibility testing were performed under the guidelines of Clinical and Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI). The lab data from Microbiology department were utilized and filled in a proforma and analyzed.Results: Out of 788 samples, 296 were culture positive. Isolated bacteria were mostly Gram negative organisms (GNO) of which Klebsiella (41.55%) was commonly followed by Pseudomonas (15.20%), Escherichia coli(4.05%) and Proteus (3.71%). Among Gram positive organisms (GPO) Staphylococcus (35.47%) was common. Imipenem (100%), Gentamycin (90.20%), Amikacin (89.14%), were the antimicrobials most sensitive for GNO, while Ceftriaxone (100%), Cefotaxime(100%),Nitrofurantoin(96.15%) and Linezolid(92.13%) were most sensitive for GPO. Widespread resistance to Nalidixic acid (99%),Ampicillin (85.90%), Cefuroxime (75%) is seen in both groups, while Cefazolin(79.25%) and Norfloxacin(83%) was noted for GNO, resistance to Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (81.66%) and Imipenem(55.55%) was noted for GPO.Conclusion: The technical abilities to detect novel, resistant mechanisms and to overcome the microbial resistance has to be improved. Antibiotic policies agreed among clinicians, microbiologists and pharmacologists will guide good prescribing, provide maximum coverage for treating infections and ensure antibiotic cycling.Â
