Performance football jambi not yet can said satisfying Thing this be marked with the difficulty province jambi compete leveled national as well as regional and minimal player football origin jambi career professional level. Certain many factor reason the difficulty province jambi for achievers start from not yet maximum management team since from ssb up to the club level local in manage administration nor develop an exercise program. Plus again with existence plague this covid-19 pandemic make clubs in jambi difficulty in carry out the training process

Challenges and Management of Surgical Site Occurrences

    Get PDF
Postoperative complications such as surgical site infections, dehiscence, seromas, and hematomas prolong wound care and impose significant cost increases to patients and healthcare providers. Clinicians aiming to reduce the incidence of these complications should be aware of risk factors associated with surgical type, procedures used, patient characteristics, and postoperative care. Today, improved guidelines and general practices for managing surgical incisions have reduced the incidence of complications to historic lows. In addition to these standard care options, advanced wound care approaches have been extensively studied and exist as options for clinicians to provide adjunctive postoperative support and facilitate wound healing. These systems include advanced wound dressings and closed-incision negative-pressure therapy. Advanced wound care is not appropriate in all settings, and healthcare providers must assess each case for specific needs to be addressed by the available incision management plans. Emerging therapies that are intended to improve the continuum of postoperative care should continue to be evaluated in controlled clinical trials to determine their effectiveness under different circumstances and to support the creation of more robust guidelines for their use. Background: Fracture shaft of femur is constitute 1.6% paediatric fractures. Traditionally most femur fractures in children were treated conservatively, however with the coming of new implants, the indications of operating have increased. We believe guidelines based on age are from western literature where children are usually of big frame, our children being of smaller frame, the conservative management by hip spica can be extended to older children. Methods: This study was done to see the results of conservative management of femur fractures in form of hip spica and traction followed by spica in children less than 10 years of age. Patients less than 6 months of age (treated by Pavlik harness), having compound fractures and those with associated injuries were excluded from the studyResults: Follow up was done in OPD after 1,4,6,10,12 weeks with check X-rays taken after spica application and at 6, 10 ,12 weeks and at removal of spica cast. All fractures united with average union time of 7.3weeks. At final follow up of 1 year 23 patients had a limb length difference of more than 1cm. average hospital stay was 13.5 days. We had 4 cast complications in form of skin excoriation and superficial skin ulceration in 2 children and broken spica in 2 children. Conclusions: Traction followed by spica cast is safe and effective method of treating fracture of paediatric femur fractures

Giant ′giant cell tumor′ of pelvis

Giant cell tumor (osteoclastoma) of pelvis is rare entity. Most of these have average size of 9.5cm. We here present a massive osteoclastoma involving pubis and periacetabular region to such an extent that surgical excision could not be done. Our surgical intervention was aimed to correct the associated deformity and improve function by debulking the part of tumor responsible for mechanical symptoms and deformity

Physicochemical and functional properties of two cowpea cultivars grown in temperate Indian climate

    No full text
Flours of two local cowpea cultivars namely Red cowpea and Black cowpea were analysed for proximate composition, pasting and functional properties. The crude protein and fat contents were higher for Black cultivar than the Red cultivar. The apparent amylose content was significantly higher for Red cowpea (25.54%) than Black cowpea (15.09%). Polyphenols were significantly higher for Red cowpea than Black cowpea. The pasting profile of two cultivars revealed significantly higher values of peak viscosity (1873 cP), setback viscosity (701.00 cP), breakdown viscosity (705.33 cP) and final viscosity (1868.67 cP) for Red cowpea than Black cowpea. Water absorption capacity and oil absorption capacity were found in the range of 1.22–1.39 g/g and 0.71–0.72 g/g, respectively, for the two cultivars. Emulsifying properties varied significantly between the two cultivars. Foaming capacity (198.67%) and foaming stability (84.85%) were significantly higher for Red cowpea than Black cowpea (73.81% and 75.43%). Swelling power was observed significantly higher for Black cowpea than Red cowpea at 90°C. Solubility index was also significantly higher for Black cowpea than Red cowpea throughout the temperature range

Structural, surface, in vitro bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation analysis of three dental restorative composites

    No full text
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between dental materials and bacterial adhesion on the grounds of their chemical composition and physical properties. Three commercially available dental restorative materials (Filtek™Z350, Filtek™P90 and Spectrum®TPH®) were structurally analyzed and their wettability and surface roughness were evaluated by using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Contact Angle Measurement and Atomic Force Microscopy, respectively. These materials were molded into discs and tested with three bacterial strains (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia) for microbial attachment. The bacterial adhesion was observed at different time intervals, i.e., 0 h, 8 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, along with Colony Forming Unit Count and Optical Density measurement of the media. It was found that all materials showed a degree of conversion with time intervals, i.e., 0 h, 8 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, which led to the availability of functional groups (N-H and C-H) that might promote adhesion. The trend in difference in the extent of bacterial adhesion can be related to particle size, chemical composition and surface wettability of the dental materials. © 2015 by the authors
