    Education policy of the Russian Federation in teaching co-official languages

    © 2016 Mustafina and Biktagirova.The research topic relevance is justified by the globalization process that put regional and minor languages in a vulnerable position. The system of education considered from this viewpoint can protect and develop the regional languages. The aim of the paper is to expose the modern tendencies in the Russian Federation education policy regarding learning and teaching the co-official languages so as to elaborate new approaches of enhancing their functional potential development through the education system. The aim fulfillment required using the methods of the statistic and contrastive analysis, synthesis and modeling that allowed having all-round view of the Russian Federation co-official languages employment in the education process considering the new Federal Education Standards. The analysis carried out estimates and notes the discrepancy in the hours for co-official languages learning in primary school after the new Education Standards for each year of primary school coming into force. That allows foreseeing further development of co-official language learning and elaborating recommendations on the process enhancement. The paper materials present a practical interest for enhancing the education policy in the RF regions, developing curriculums and programs for primary school. The research results can serve as a practical material when planning work for education authorities, teaching staff and politicians interested in boost of co-language teaching efficiency and using them as an education tool

    The importance of the research is determined by the cognitive functions of the institutional history, in this case in terms of the study of various aspects of the educational system as a special sphere of cooperation between the state and public institutions, as well as human and science. The aim of the article is to determine and analyze tendencies in the development of educational and methodological framework of the religious educational process (the process of teaching fundamentals of religion) in the secular educational environment of the particular era - the modernization period (the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries) and in the particular region (Kazan as a typical provincial center of the Russian Empire). The main method of this study is the historical-comparative method, which allows to compare the experience in use of educational materials in secondary schools in Kazan applying historical records analysis. The results presented in the article show the influence of social, economic, political and cultural process taking place in the Russian Empire during the period of modernization on the religious educational process in secular schools, manifested, in particular, in the pluralization of educational and methodological framework. The materials of the article may be useful for the studies within the institutional history of education and the church, as well as for modern discussions about the place of religion in the secular educational environment.     A lyceum catechist of a provincial town in the conditions of the education system reformation in the Russian Empire of the 19<sup>th</sup> - early 20<sup>th</sup> centuries: Prosopographic reconstruction

The importance of the research is caused by the significance of institutional history issues in modern history research, i.e. functioning of educational systems as a special field of interaction of state and society, various public institutions, science, an individual and generations (teachers and students). The purpose of the article is to determine the position of the lyceum catechist in a secular educational environment based on research of a particular era (19th - early 20th centuries) and a specific region (Kazan as a typical provincial center of the Russian Empire). The main methodology of the research has become the prosopography method used to create the collective biographies by identifying a specific group of persons related to a common field and interests, representing a corporate community (in this case - the Orthodox Church), implemented by the responses to the same questions. In the research, the authors obtained results showing a unique position of a lyceum catechist in the Russian Empire of specified period who belonged simultaneously to two corporations - the clergy of the Orthodox Church and members of the educational community of secular secondary education. The requirements of each of these corporations to be met by their members often came into conflict between particular individuals. These circumstances have contributed to the deepening crisis of religious education in secular educational environment of the Russian Empire. The results presented in the article may be useful for the studies within the institutional history of education and the church, as well as for modern Russian discussions about the place of religion in a secular educational environment

    Teaching religion and classical languages in Russian gymnasiums in the middle of XIX - Beginning of the XX century: Searching for a harmonic correlation

The article deals with the situation formed during the period of reforming the secondary education system in the Russian Empire (mid XIX - beginning of the XX century), concerning studying the bases of religion in secular secondary schools, as well as position and significance of classical languages (Ancient Greek and Latin) in teaching Russian gymnasium students. Both of them were subject to pedagogic and public discussions throughout the mentioned period, and still they remain debatable nowadays. Based on the information available in the sources and literature on the Russian secondary school history, the main contradictions of two components ("religious" and "antique") are revealed in the context of a paradigm of classic school education, and also under conditions of isolation of various types of secondary professional schools ("real" gymnasiums and colleges) from classic gymnasiums in the second half of the XIX century. The authors propound conclusions on the reasons behind the contradictions in this particular field and characterize the points of view of the researchers of the problem. Materials of the article are useful for researchers of history of education, philologists, theologies, practicing teachers, and also for participants of modern public and pedagogical discussions concerning educational policy and forming of a new school paradigm

The study gives variants of portfolio formation algorithm which possess factors characterizing tendencies of developing various types of insurance. Extensive studies are performed by economists in the field of the formation of the most effective insurance portfolio. During the studies foreign specialists rely on long-term statistical surveys in connection with a long historical period of insurance market and foreign countries development. While Russian economists take into account the domestic market specific peculiarities which are characterized by poor insurance culture and household's disinterest about insurance coverage, due to the fact of small capacity of effective demand, thus, low quality of insurance service provision and also a short historical period of statistical surveys in consequence of non-durable historical period of Russian insurance market development

    The article deals with landscapes of painter I.I. Shishkin (1832–1898) and XIX century writer, poet and journalist D.I. Stakheev (1840–1918) as part of general regional studies. The research is based on the possibility of correlation of the main and regional educational components in school and college literary regional studies; on the analytical technologies based on comparative contextual analysis of literary works and canvases. Among the most productive methods there is an analysis of cross-cutting subject matters, motives and images. Literary works of D.I. Stakheev and paintings of I.I. Shishkin are viewed as part of their life, work and friendly interaction. Taking into account the fact that these cultural figures lived and worked in Yelabuga we may include historical, biographical, literary and analytical records into the so-called regional component of literary and general cultural education content. However, a special interest for us is in the possibility of combining two planes: local literature and painting of a particular region and “serious” literature and “high” art of all-Russian and even global scale. Among other things the article presents facilitation technology effectively ensuring high level of research projects implementation due to three components: speed, creativity and efficiency. Detailed consideration is given to “World Café” and “Trade Show” models which are recommended for use both for study of the creative workers life and work and for handling information about their work.El artículo trata sobre los paisajes del pintor I.I. Shishkin (1832–1898) y escritor, poeta y periodista del siglo XIX D.I. Stakheev (1840–1918) como parte de estudios regionales generales. La investigación se basa en la posibilidad de correlación de los componentes educativos principales y regionales en los estudios regionales literarios escolares y universitarios; En las tecnologías analíticas basadas en análisis comparativos contextuales de obras literarias y lienzos. Entre los métodos más productivos se encuentra un análisis de temas, motivos e imágenes transversales. Obras literarias de D.I. Stakheev y pinturas de I.I. Los shishkin son vistos como parte de su vida, trabajo e interacción amistosa. Teniendo en cuenta el hecho de que estas figuras culturales vivieron y trabajaron en Yelabuga, podemos incluir registros históricos, biográficos, literarios y analíticos en el llamado componente regional del contenido de la educación literaria y cultural en general. Sin embargo, un interés especial para nosotros radica en la posibilidad de combinar dos planos: la literatura local y la pintura de una región en particular y la literatura "seria" y el arte "alto" de toda escala rusa e incluso global. Entre otras cosas, el artículo presenta tecnología de facilitación que garantiza un alto nivel de implementación de proyectos de investigación debido a tres componentes: velocidad, creatividad y eficiencia. Se da una consideración detallada a los modelos "World Café" y "Trade Show", que se recomiendan tanto para el estudio de la vida y el trabajo de los trabajadores&nbsp;creativos como para el manejo de la información sobre su trabajo.O artigo trata das paisagens do pintor I.I. A pesquisa é baseada na possibilidade de correlação dos componentes educacionais principais e regionais em estudos regionais literários escolares e universitários; sobre as tecnologias analíticas baseadas em análise comparativa contextual de obras literárias e telas. Entre os métodos mais produtivos, há uma análise de assuntos transversais, motivos e imagens. Trabalhos literários de D.I. Stakheev e pinturas de I.I. Shishkin são vistos como parte de sua vida, trabalho e interação amigável. Levando em conta o fato de que essas figuras culturais viveram e trabalharam em Yelabuga, podemos incluir registros históricos, biográficos, literários e analíticos no chamado componente regional de conteúdo de educação cultural literária e geral. No entanto, um interesse especial para nós é a possibilidade de combinar dois planos: literatura local e pintura de uma região específica e literatura “séria” e arte “alta” de escala totalmente russa e até global. Entre outras coisas, o artigo apresenta tecnologia de facilitação que garante efetivamente alto nível de implementação de projetos de pesquisa devido a três componentes: velocidade, criatividade e eficiência.     Acid Sensitive Ion Channels as Target of Hydrogen Sulfide in Rat Trigeminal Neurons

    © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), an endogenous gasotransmitter, was proposed to act as a signaling molecule in a wide variety of pathophysiological processes including inflammation and nociception. Acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) are voltage-insensitive, proton-gated cation channels activated by extracellular acidosis, and are involved in various pathologies of the nervous system including ischemia, stroke, and migraine. In this study, the effect of the H2S donor-sodium hydrogen sulfide (NaHS) on the firing of trigeminal (TG) nerve was explored using suction electrode recordings in peripheral branches of the TG nerve in isolated rat meninges, and patch clamp recordings of ASIC currents in isolated TG neurons. NaHS (100 μM) increased the action potential frequency of TG nerve and bath application of NaHS increased the amplitude of ASIC currents triggered by focal application of low pH solution on isolated TG neurons. We propose that activation of ASICs by H2S during chronic inflammation process contributes to the increased excitability of the TG system and may be implicated in the generation of nociceptive firing underlying migraine pain
