    Volcanostratigraphic Sequences of Kebo-Butak Formation at Bayat Geological Field Complex, Central Java Province and YOGYAKARTA Special Province, Indonesia

    DOI:10.17014/ijog.3.2.77-94Bayat Complex is usually used as a work field for students of geology and other geosciences. The study area is located in the southern part of the Bayat Complex. Administratively, it belongs to Central Java Province and Yogyakarta Special Province. The lithology of Bayat is very complex, composed of various kinds of igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, and volcanic rocks. Most of previous researchers interpreted Bayat as a melange complex constructed within a subduction zone. Kebo-Butak is one of formations that forms the Bayat field complex. The formation is composed of basalt, layers of pumice, tuff, shale, and carbonaceous tuff. Most of them are known as volcanic rocks. These imply that volcanic activities are more probable to construct the geology of Bayat rather than the subducted melange complex. The geological mapping, supported by geomorphology, petrology, stratigraphy, and geological structures, had been conducted in a comprehensive manner using the deduction-induction method. The research encounters basalt, black pumice, tuff with basaltic glasses fragments, zeolite, argilic clay, as well as feldspathic- and pumice tuff. Petrographically, the basalt is composed of labradorite, olivine, clinopyroxene, and volcanic glass. Black pumice and tuff contain prismatic clinopyroxene, granular olivine, and volcanic glasses. Feldspathic tuff and pumice tuff are crystal vitric tuff due to more abundant feldspar, quartz, and amphibole than volcanic glass. Zeolite comprises chlorite and altered glasses as deep sea altered volcanic rocks. The geologic structure is very complex, the major structures are normal faults with pyrite in it. There were two deep submarine paleovolcanoes namely Tegalrejo and Baturagung. The first paleovolcano erupted effusively producing basaltic sequence, while the second one erupted explosively ejecting feldspathic-rich pyroclastic material.     Patient Perception of “Caring Health Service” at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta, Central Java

    Background: The Institute of Medicine (IOM) has defined quality of health care as “the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge”. “Caring” is indispensible element of quality of health care health personnel who provide health service with “caring” allows patients to feel comfortable in resolving their health problem. In turn, “caring” may help patients regain their health more rapidly. This study aimed to examine the association between patient perception of “caring health service” and personal characteristics. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted at the Emergency Unit, Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta, Central Java. A sample of 141 patients who got “caring health service” at this unit for at least for 2 hours was selected for this study. The dependent variable was perception of the “caring health service”. The independent variables were personal characteristics, including age, sex, education, and residence. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by chi square. Results: Patient perception of “caring health service” had no significant association with personal characteristics, including age (OR= 1.29; 95% CI= 0.53 to 3.11; p= 0.735), sex (OR= 0.70; 95% CI= 0.28to 1.65; p= 0.526), education (OR= 0.34; 95% CI= 0.13 to 0.92; p= 0.057), and residence (OR= 1.17; 95% CI= 0.49 to 2.84; p= 0.896). Conclusion: There is no difference in the patient perception of “caring health service” by age, sex, education, and residence. Keywords: perception, “caring health service”, personal characteristic

    Research on the effect of soil moisture on agronomic characters, yield and nicotine content of Temanggung tobacco has been conducted in the Research Institute for Tobacco and Fibre Crops at Malang, East Java from March to October 2010. The treatment has been arranged in a Splitplot design with 3 replications. The experimental plot consisted of three types of soil: Complex Eutrudepts-Hapludalfs, Vitraquands, and Complex Dystrudepts-Hapludalfs. The subplot comprised 5 levels of soil moisturation: 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100% of field capacities. The results showed that the dry slice yield, content of nicotine, and agronomic characters of the Temanggung tobacco were affected by the result of interaction between soil moisture and type. The decreasing of soil moisture up to 40% from field capacity in the Complex Eutrudepts- Hapludalfs had decreased dry slice yield, nicotine content, plant height, root length, dry weight of plant, shoots, roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and suckers accounted for 54.3, 19.3, 33.7, 17.1, 74.1, 71.4, 82.3, 80.1, 54.3, 60.5 and 86.5% respectively, in the Vitraquands 72.7,20.2, 37.0, 13.2, 79.8, 78.5, 84.3, 80.7, 72.7, 63.3 and 87.8% respectively, and in the Complex Dystrudepts-Hapludalfs 74.2, 23.0, 39.6, 15.7, 79.3, 78.0, 83.6, 80.3, 74.2, 79.1 and 80.6% respectively

    Pengaruh Non Performing Financing Pembiayaan Mudharabah dan Non Performing Financing Pembiayaan Musyarakah terhadap Profitabilitas pada Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia

    This study aimed to know the influence of non performing financing in Mudharabah system and non performing financing in musyarakah system toward the profitability of the the Islamic banks. A financing channeled to customers potentially leads to financial problems. Financing problematic in the Islamic banks can be seen from the level of non performing financing. The data used in this study was the secondary data in the form of annual financial report in islamic banks during period 2009 up to 2013. The method of data analysis used in this research was multipel linier regression analysis. The samples taken were 33 of data includes 8 Islamic banks during the period of 5 years. The samples taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that simultan eously non performing financing Mudharabah and non performing financing Musyarakah affected on the profitabilty og Islamic banks, while partially non performing financing mudharabah didn't affect negatively, but positively affected financing with the significance 0,018 and non performing financing musyarakah didn't affect the profitability of Islamic banks.     Badan Kesatuan Bangsa, Politik dan Perlindungan Masyarakat dan Penanggulangan Bencana (Kesbangpolinmasbena) berwenang dalam upaya penanganan bencana alam terutama bencana tanah longsor dan sistem penanggulangannya. Badan ini mengalami kesulitan dalam menganalisa serta penyampaian informasi untuk memetakan daerah rawan tanah longsor karena selama ini masih menggunakan peta konvensional sebagai acuan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan tersebut. Kekurangan dari peta konvensional yaitu sulit dalam mengupadate serta memiliki resiko kerusakan dan kehilangan data. Berdasarkan masalah yang ada, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan dalam mengumpulkan dan mengolah informasi mengenai daerah yang rawan tanah longsor sehingga bisa tertangani lebih dini.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam sistem ini yaitu dengan menganalisa kebutuhan sistem, merancang sistem, mengimplementasikan rancangan sistem dengan mengunakan Macromedia Dreamweaver, PHP, melakukan proses digitasi peta dan overlay dengan menggunakan ArcView 3.3 serta pengujian sistem dengan black box test dan alfa test.Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah telah dibuat suatu aplikasi ”SIG Pemetaan Daerah Rawan Tanah Longsor di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul” berbasis Web yang mampu memberikan informarsi kepada masyarakat tentang tingkat kerawanan tanah longsor di masing masing daerah, jalur evakuasi, kejadian tanah longsor dan memberikan informasi mengenai mitigasi (pencegahan dan penanggulangan) terhadap bencana tanah longsor
