The purposes of this research is to describe entrepreneurial skill and its influence on sustained business growth. This research expect to obtain a new concept of Business Administration Study especially on entrepreneurial skills and sustained business growth. The locus of this study is business organization (small industry) and focused on entrepreneurial skill and sustained business growth. Descriptive analyses was used to describe the condition of research object. This is a survey research which is used questionaire as basic data instrument. So, the method of this research is explanatory survey. The population size of this research is 750 small industry, and sample size is 150 small industry according to the criteria specified in the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the entrepreneurship skills affect sustained business growth, this result explains that the hypothesis tested. The magnitude of the influence of entrepreneurial skills for sustained business growth of small industries in Sukabumi is significantly determined by the personal entrepreneurial skills, business management skills and technical skills. This study reinforces the concept of Hisrich, et al, Frinces, Baum, et al and Lee and Tsang about entrepreneurship skills will have a positive impact on business growth. However, this study finding that entrepreneurship skills affect sustained business growth, sustained growth mean industry grow in a time period. For entrepreneurial skill variable, the results showed that the business management skills as a dominant factor that reflected entrepreneurial skill and personal entrepreneurial is the less factor. This suggests that entrepreneurial skills can really only be learned (entrepreneur are made) not only the legacy of the inherent entrepreneurial hereditary (traditional). This study indicate for small scale industry, high entrepreneurial skill not also raise the credibility of venture to gain financing externally. It\u27s the specified characteristic of small industry. So, supporting from government in regulation and capital is very important to get investor believes

Successful wide hybridization and introgression breeding in a diverse set of common peppers (Capsicum annuum) using different cultivated ajĂ (C. baccatum) accessions as donor parents

[EN] Capsicum baccatum, commonly known as aji, has been reported as a source of variation for many different traits to improve common pepper (C. annuum), one of the most important vegetables in the world. However, strong interspecific hybridization barriers exist between them. A comparative study of two wide hybridization approaches for introgressing C. baccatum genes into C. annuum was performed: i) genetic bridge (GB) using C. chinense and C. frutescens as bridge species; and, ii) direct cross between C. annuum and C. baccatum combined with in vitro embryo rescue (ER). A diverse and representative collection of 18 accessions from four cultivated species of Capsicum was used, including C. annuum (12), C. baccatum (3), C. chinense (2), and C. frutescens (1). More than 5000 crosses were made and over 1000 embryos were rescued in the present study. C. chinense performed as a good bridge species between C. annuum and C. baccatum, with the best results being obtained with the cross combination [C. baccatum (female) x C. chinense (male)] (female) x C. annuum (male), while C. frutescens gave poor results as bridge species due to strong prezygotic and postzygotic barriers. Virus-like-syndrome or dwarfism was observed in F-1 hybrids when both C. chinense and C. frutescens were used as female parents. Regarding the ER strategy, the best response was found in C. annuum (female) x C. baccatum (male) crosses. First backcrosses to C. annuum (BC(1)s) were obtained according to the crossing scheme [C. annuum (female) x C. baccatum (male)] (female) x C. annuum (male) using ER. Advantages and disadvantages of each strategy are discussed in relation to their application to breeding programmes. These results provide breeders with useful practical information for the regular utilization of the C. baccatum gene pool in C. annuum breeding.Juan P. The Importance of Knowledge Management in Increasing the Innovation of Tourism Staff: a Case Study at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII)

The knowledge inherent in employees is an important thing to be managed by all business sectors including tourist attractions such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), because with good knowledge, companies or institutions will be able to develop various innovations. But the problem is what if the existing knowledge among employees is not evenly distributed, there are some people who are experienced or have a lot of knowledge, but there are also some people who still do not understand the knowledge they should have. This research is aimed at answering the question whether knowledge management has been understood by the staff working at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), what are the obstacles encountered in implementing knowledge management, and what efforts should be made so that the staff can have the ability to manage their knowledge. This is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing 15 staff. The results showed that knowledge management, when accompanied by knowledge sharing, will produce great innovation for the company and the company must initiate knowledge sharing among employees so that each employee can inspire other employees to create innovation

Effect of chemical composition on hot cracking susceptibility (HCS) using various hot cracking criteria

The paper aims to evaluate the effect of chemical composition on the Hot Cracking Susceptibility (HCS) using mechanical and non-mechanical hot cracking criteria during solidification. The criteria were SKK as a mechanical criterion. Feurer, Clyne Davis, and Katgerman as non-mechanical criteria. The criteria were implemented at various parameters to evaluate their abilities in the hot cracking susceptibility (HCS) prediction at varied chemical composition. In this study, The Mg content was varied in Al9Zn (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 %wt.) Mg2Cu alloys and Cu content in Al9Zn2Mg (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 %wt.) Cu alloys. The validation of the result is also conducted by comparing with the experimental data. Based on Feurer criterion, The hot cracking initiates at lower temperature and at higher critical rate of feeding and shrinkage with Cu content, and the hot cracking initiates at higher temperature with Mg content, and it initiates at higher critical rate of feeding and shrinkage from 1 up to 1.5 of Mg, and the critical rate of feeding and shrinkage remains constant from 1.5 up to 2.5 of Mg. Based on Clyne & Davies, the HCS decreases with Cu content from 1 up to 2 of Cu, and it increases from 2 up to 2.5 of Cu. The HCS decreases with Mg content from 1 up to 2 of Mg, and it remains constant from 2 up to 2.5 of Mg. Based on Katgerman criterion, the HCS decreases with Cu content from 1 up to 1.5 of Cu, it increases from 1.5 up to 2 of Cu, and it decreases from 2 up to 2.5 of Cu. The HCS decreases sequentially with Mg content. Based on SKK criterion, the HCS curves shift to the right with Cu content which means that the hot cracking initiates at lower temperature, and the HCS curves shift to the left with Mg content which means that the hot cracking initiates at higher temperature with Mg content. The Feurer, Clyne & Davies, and some specific range for SKK criteria are in agreement for the effect of Cu content on HCS of alloys, and Katgerman and some specific range for Clyne&Davies criteria are in agreement for the effect of Mg content on HCS of alloys.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Team Joris Di
