Relationship between Self-Management and Work Performance among Information Professionals
The significance of emotional intelligence to the work performance of the Information Professionals in the government sector in Malaysia has been extensively studied in the literature. The focus of this analysis is on self-management clusters, and it shows that the chosen cluster turns out to be the essential relationship between self-management and work performance among information professionals. This research is done by implementing a survey on 148 information professionals in a government agency in Malaysia. The result suggests that self-management of emotional intelligence has a significant role in enhancing the quality of job performance, resulting in increased work productivity for information professionals.

Advances in information and communication technology (ICT) has inspired organizations of various functions to deploy diverse types of Internet and Intranet technologies to enhance knowledge coordination and sharing within organizations using of variety of technological tools. Factor Influencing User Satisfaction E-Study Public Sector (EPSA) System: The case of civil servant
The technological era has revolutionized education, making it accessible to all. Malaysia's government introduced E-Study Public Sector (EPSA) as an online learning platform for government servants, but user feedback and satisfaction remain uncertain. A study involving 226 civil servants from the Ministry of Health found moderate learning satisfaction using EPSA. Inferential analysis using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) revealed a significant relationship between perceived ease of use, self-efficacy, and web design and content quality, except for perceived usefulness. The results suggest that e-learner satisfaction factors must be considered for continuous usage intention and organizational technological innovation
Gamification Equilibrium: The Fulcrum for Balanced Intrinsic Motivation and Extrinsic Rewards in Learning Systems
In this study we developed a concept for balancing extrinsic rewards and intrinsic motivation in gamified learning systems through the laws of levers. Although empirical findings around gamification studies remain largely inconclusive, it is still the go-to place for many who seek to improve motivation and engagement. The phenomenon uses game design elements and game principles to create better user experience on a system or activity. With the widespread of gamification across and beyond IS, the field of education and learning is one that has embraced it solemnly. Nevertheless, there is little to no consensus amongst researchers as to how to effectively apply it, and benefit from it. As such, the concept is yet entrenched; although popular. Hence, along the concept development, this study set out to review the setbacks of gamification in recent times, primarily focusing on the current inconsistencies of empirical outcomes and how these challenges can be mitigated. We discovered that the overreliance of developers on narrow models is a culprit for failed gamification. Shallow gamification design which centres around the so-called “BPL gamification” is a source of failure, as it has become a copy-and-paste cliché, rather than a deliberate contextual design. Inordinate selection, and application of game elements to a system/activity is toppling gamification too. This was found to also create imbalances in both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation thereby leading to what is known as “Overjustification effect”, which is a big killer of gamification today.
Determinants factors of intention to adopt big data analytics in malaysian public agencies
Purpose: This research objective was to analyze factors affecting IT practitioners’ behavioral intentions in adopting (BDA) using a combination of Initial Trust Model (ITM), Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology (UTAUT) AND Task-Technology Fit (TTF) Model acceptance models. Design/methodology/approach: Using a cross sectional survey, empirical data were collected. A total of 200 questionnaires were obtained and screened. 14 insufficient answers were subsequently discarded leaving 186 valid structured data review questionnaires. Data was analizad using the Partial Least Square Modeling of Structural Equations due to one of the best software for verifying structured data on structural equations modeling (SEM). Findings: Our findings show that two key factors determine behavioral intention to adopt BDA in government agencies. Firstly, the assumption that the technology is going to produce great results raises the expectation of performance. TTF was the second determinant factor. Surprisingly, Initial trust, on the other hand, had not been considered to be a key determinant of behavioural intention and was found to be adversely related to the BDA intention. Research limitations/implications: These findings identify the crucial model, that would be useful to IT officers in public agencies in making investment choices and designing non-adopter-friendly outreach strategies because they have more barriers to acceptance than adopters and lead adopters in the reward ladder. Practical implications: The findings suggest significant recommendations and consequences for BDA systems practitioners and application developers, which could coincide with the successful implementation of BDA systems. This research gives practitioners an initial way to incorporate and endorse BDA activities in their organization to make the most of the advantages of revolutionary technology, particularly within public agencies. Originality/value: This study's model is helpful and promotes a theory for further BDA research.
