    Revitalisasi Kerajinan Batu Permata Pulaki

    Batu permata Pulaki merupakan cindera mata khas dari Kawasan Suci Pulaki, Desa Banyupoh, Kecamatan Gerokgak, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali. Sejak ditemukannya salah satu varian batu permata Pulaki yang dikenal dengan nama Batu Kresnadana oleh Putu Dana (52 tahun) pada tahun 1989, industri kerajinan rakyat batu permata mengalami keemasan sepanjang hampir satu dekade setelah itu. Namun saat ini kerajinan batu permata Pulaki mengalami kemorosotan, hanya segelintir orang yang masih menekuninya. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan hal tersebut, diantaranya adalah (1) pemasaran batu permata yang masih terbatas dan banyaknya saingan batu permata dari daerah lainnya maupun dari batu permata tiruan yang banyak beredar di pasaran; (2) masalah produksi, mulai dari keterbatasan bahan baku karena adanya spirit pelestarian dan pengendalian eksplorasi, keterbatasan teknologi produksi, dan desain produk yang masih terbatas; (3) manajemen USAha yang masih manajen tradisional berbasis rumah tangga; dan (4) rendahnya pemahaman terhadap perlindungan hak kekayaan intelektual sehingga banyak batu permata Kresnadana tiruan. Pemecahan permasalahan tersebut menggunakan pendekatan sosiokultural partisipatif dengan metode alih ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi seperti pelatihan dan pendampingan. Karya utama dari kegiatan ini adalah Buku Batu Permata Pulaki sebagai media memperkenalkan kerajinan batu permata Pulaki dan menjadi konten website promosi. Buku ini merupakan kumpulan USAha revitalisasi baik dari sisi aktivitas-aktivitas alih ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, maupun dari sisi manajemen, sosial ekonomi, pelestarian alam, dan perlindungan kekayaan intelektual. Dampak dari program ini adalah peningkatan onset penjualan produk kerajinan batu permata dengan tanpa eksplorasi yang berlebihan terhadap bahan baku

    Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Kimia Dan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis

    This study was aimed to describe and analyze (1) understanding concepts and critical thinking skills difference between student that learned project-based model and conventional model, (2) understanding concept difference between student that learned project-based learning model and conventional model, (3) critical thinking skills difference between student that learned project-based model and conventional model.. This study included in quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. Sample was collected through simple random sampling in 11th grade student in SMA Negeri 2 Negara of academic year 2012/2013. The data were analyzed with multivariate analysis. The conclusion can be stated based on analysis result is (1) there was difference between understanding concepts and critical thinking skills as impct of project-based model and conventional model (Fcal = 13,921 > Ftable = 3,91). (2) there was difference between understanding concepts as impct of project-based model and conventional model (Fcal = 9,263 > Ftable = 3,91). (3) there was difference between critical thinking skills as impct of project-based model and conventional model (Fcal = 20,714 > Ftable = 3,91)

    Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Terhadap Kecerdasan Emosional Siswa

    This study aimed to investigate the effect of project-based learning model for emotional intelligence of students in science learning. This research was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research population was a student of class VII in SMP Negeri 6 Negara with a sample of 124 students were divided into experimental and control groups. The instrument used to determine the emotional intelligence is a multiple choice test free content. The data obtained in the form g-score normalized. Analyses were performed using ANOVA one-way. Based on the analysis, an increase in the average value of each aspect of emotional intelligence in the experimental class and the control class. Increase in the average value of the experimental class is quite significant compared to the control class. Based on the analysis of the data, obtained F calculated is 1491.278. Figures F calculated is greater than F table (3.89) at the 0.05 significance level so that it can be concluded that, there is a difference between the emotional intelligence of students learning with project-based learning model and conventional learning models

    Analisis Standar Laboratorium Kimia Dan Efektivitasnya Terhadap Capaian Kompetensi Adaptif Di Smk Negeri 2 Negara

    This research was aimed to analyze facilitycarrying capacity, intensity of using laboratory, use factor equipment and chemical, laboratory management, and effectiveness chemistry laboratory standard to adaptive competence achievement.in SMK Negeri 2 Negara. This research was ex-post facto. Laboratory carrying capacitythat appropriate laboratory standard include rooms and common facility is 53% (less category),equipmentsis 45% (less category), andchemical is48% (less category).Intencity using laboratoryin 2012/2013 study yearinclass X is 33.3% (less category), class XIis 100% (very high category), and class XIIis59.3% (enough category). Equipment use factor is 58% (enough category) andchemical is 75.3% (high category). Laboratory management less optimal.The result ofsubsections of laboratory standard in SMK Negeri 2 Negara is effective to adaptive competence achievement. If equipment and chemical needed are available and or substituted, the average of student test comprehension score is 80.3 (higher than KKM)

    Polysaccharide-based Noncovalent Assembly for Targeted Delivery of Taxol

    The construction of synthetic straightforward, biocompatible and biodegradable targeted drug delivery system with fluorescent tracking abilities, high anticancer activities and low side effects is still a challenge in the field of biochemistry and material chemistry. In this work, we constructed targeted paclitaxel (Taxol) delivery nanoparticles composed of permethyl-β-cyclodextrin modified hyaluronic acid (HApCD) and porphyrin modified paclitaxel prodrug (PorTaxol), through host-guest and amphiphilic interactions. The obtained nanoparticles (HATXP) were biocompatible and enzymatic biodegradable due to their hydrophilic hyaluronic acid (HA) shell and hydrophobic Taxol core, and exhibited specific targeting internalization into cancer cells via HA receptor mediated endocytosis effects. The cytotoxicity experiments showed that the HATXP exhibited similar anticancer activities to, but much lower side effects than commercial anticancer drug Taxol. The present work would provide a platform for targeted paclitaxel drug delivery and a general protocol for the design of advanced multifunctional nanoscale biomaterials for targeted drug/gene delivery
