Scattering, random phase and wave turbulence

We start from the remark that in wave turbulence theory, exemplified by the cubic twodimensional Schr{\"o}dinger equation (NLS) on the real plane, the regularity of the resonant manifold is linked with dispersive properties of the equation and thus with scattering phenomena. In contrast with classical analysis starting with a dynamics on a large periodic box, we propose to study NLS set on the real plane using the dispersive effects, by considering the time evolution operator in various time scales for deterministic and random initial data. By considering periodic functions embedded in the whole space by gaussian truncation, this allows explicit calculations and we identify two different regimes where the operators converges towards the kinetic operator but with different form of convergence

A simple construction of the Anderson operator via its quadratic form in dimensions two and three

We provide a simple construction of the Anderson operator in dimensions two and three. This is done through its quadratic form. We rely on an exponential transform instead of the regularity structures or paracontrolled calculus which are usually used for the construction of the operator. The knowledge of the form is robust enough to deduce important properties such as positivity and irreducibility of the corresponding semigroup. The latter property gives existence of a spectral gap

En 2001, alors que Madagascar traverse une nouvelle crise démocratique, un petit cercueil traverse le Sud du pays d’est en ouest. Des centaines de communautés villageoises sont reliées par cette trajectoire qui emprunte des sillons historiques du territoire national. Au cours de ce relais funéraire de trois mois, l’identité du razamasy, « ancêtre-sacré » en circulation va changer à plusieurs reprises : d’abord lémurien il terminera sirène. On assiste ainsi à la production d’une ancestralité, qui doit assurer de sa pertinence. La problématique retenue ici est celle de la légitimation, fondée sur des logiques anciennes et toujours prégnantes du pouvoir, qui semble réactivée par une conjoncture électorale. During this funeral relay of three months, the identity of razamasy, the “sacred ancestor” has changed several times: first lemur he finished mermaid. We are witnessing the production of ancestry, which should ensure its relevance. Analyzing the legitimation process shows old but still ever present logic of power, reactivated by an electoral national context. Performance et performatifs au cours d’un rituel d’anti-sorcellerie et de refondation sociale : le soalala, Nord-Est de Madagascar, 1975-1983

Dofotera dit Moasibe, le « Grand-Guérisseur », homme inspiré et efficace a été à l’origine d’un rituel composite et novateur : le soalala, « bon-chemin ». Cette cérémonie a été accomplie dans des centaines de villages entre le milieu des années soixante‑dix et le début des années quatre‑vingt dans la région du Nord‑Est de Madagascar. Après avoir éliminé les mauvais charmes et les mauvais esprits des corps et des terres, Dofotera entendait restaurer l’entente collective sur le modèle de l’éthos traditionnel du fihavanana, en ré/instituant la communauté des corésidents (fokonolona) sur la base d’une fédération ancestrale, matérialisée par une pierre plate et ritualisée par la pratique du festin et du serment. Cet homme hors du commun acquit ainsi la légitimité de commander aux esprits de la vie et de transférer son autorité sur celles des ancêtres. Dans le cadre de ce numéro thématique, cet article insiste sur les opérations rituelles de remédiations opérées au sein des vivants, morts et génies.Dofotera Moasibe, the “Great Healerˮ, created a composite and innovative ritual: soalala, “good-wayˮ. Mêlant le témoignage de Serge Patient aux photographies de la collection personnelle des Schwarz-Bart, cet article s’attache à retracer le voyage d’André Schwarz-Bart en 1960 en Guyane, terre alors bien méconnue, encore si peu visitée, et alors spectatrice d’un sursaut d’autonomie qui marque les mémoires. Supposant les motivations d’un tel voyage, et observant les traces qu’il laissera dans les notes essentielles à la rédaction d’Adieu Bogota (Seuil, 2017), nous explorons, sur les pas de l’écrivain, les complexités historiques d’un territoire marqué par une double histoire concentrationnaire, celle de l’esclavage et celle du bagne... avec, en contre-point, celle du marronnage.Through Serge Patient’s memories and the Schwarz-Barts’ photographs, we are trying to infer André Schwarz-Bart’s journey in French Guyana, from Cayenne to haut-Maroni, which was then a little-known territory. This article is exploring the reasons why the writer went there, and the impacts of this 1960s voyage on the notes he left, laying the groundwork for the subsequent novel Adieu Bogota (Seuil, 2017). PENERAPAN SANKSI TERHADAP PELANGGARAN DISIPLIN ANGGOTA KEPOLISIAN PADA POLRES SOLOK AROSUKA

Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri) merupakan organisasi penegak hukum yang mempunyai tugas pokok yaitu melayani, melindungi, dan mengayomi masyarakat. Dengan tugas tersebut Polri mempunyai wewenang untuk menyelenggarakan tugasnya tersebut yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang No 2 Tahun 2002 Tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. Dalam menjalankan wewenang dan tugas tersebut Polri berupaya menjadikan organisasi Polri adalah sebagai organisasi yang baik dan bersih seperti yang dicita-citakan. Untuk menunjang terwujudnya cita-cita tersebut, Polri sudah dilengkapi dengan sarana dan prasarana serta sumber daya manusia yang banyak di setiap daerahnya. Tetapi dengan wewenang dan tingkat kesadaran anggota kepolisian akan hukum yang rendah serta tidak sadarnya mereka sebagai panutan dan mitra dalam masyarakat menyebabkan banyaknya anggota kepolisian melakukan pelanggaran disiplin dalam setiap tugas yang diberikan sebagai anggota kepolisian. Oleh karena itu, masalah yang dikemukakan dalam penelitian ini adalah, (1) Bagaimana penerapan sanksi kedisiplinan terhadap anggota Kepolisian Polres Solok Arosuka, (2) Apa hambatan dalam menerapkan sanksi kedisiplinan anggota Kepolisian Polres Solok Arosuka. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah pendekatan yuridis empiris, dengan menggunakan sumber data primer dan data sekunder, dan menganalisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan pelanggaran disiplin anggota Polri Polres Solok Arosuka masih kurang dari harapan yang disebabkan faktor hukum, penegak hukum, masyarakat, dan faktor lingkungan. Hambatan yang ditemukan dalam penegakan pelanggaran anggota Polri Polres Solok Arosuka adalah tumpang tindihnya aturan, kurangnya kesadaran anggota Polri, faktor lingkungan, serta kurangnya kepedulian masyarakat dalam melakukan pengawasan. Acyclovir for treating varicella in otherwise healthy children and adolescents: a systematic review of randomised controlled trials

BACKGROUND: Acyclovir has the potential to shorten the course of chickenpox which may result in reduced costs and morbidity. We conducted a systematic review of randomised controlled trials that evaluated acyclovir for the treatment of chickenpox in otherwise healthy children. METHODS: MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library were searched. The reference lists of relevant articles were examined and primary authors and Glaxo Wellcome were contacted to identify additional trials. Two reviewers independently screened studies for inclusion, assessed study quality using the Jadad scale and allocation concealment, and extracted data. Continuous data were converted to a weighted mean difference (WMD). Overall estimates were not calculated due to differences in the age groups studied. RESULTS: Three studies were included. Methodological quality was 3 (n = 2) and 4 (n = 1) on the Jadad scale. Acyclovir was associated with a significant reduction in the number of days with fever, from -1.0 (95% CI -1.5,-0.5) to -1.3 (95% CI -2.0,-0.6). Results were inconsistent with respect to the number of days to no new lesions, the maximum number of lesions and relief of pruritis. There were no clinically important differences between acyclovir and placebo with respect to complications or adverse effects. CONCLUSION: Acyclovir appears to be effective in reducing the number of days with fever among otherwise healthy children with chickenpox. The results were inconsistent with respect to the number of days to no new lesions, the maximum number of lesions and the relief of itchiness. The clinical importance of acyclovir treatment in otherwise healthy children remains controversial

A paracontrolled calculus for singular stochastic PDEs on manifold : to infinity and beyond

Cette thèse porte sur le calcul paracontrôlé construit à l’aide du semi-groupe de la chaleur pour étudier différentes équations aux dérivées partielles stochastiques singulières sur des variétés riemanniennes compactes. En utilisant la formule de Calderón comme analogue continu à la décomposition de Paley-Littlewood, on peut construire un paraproduit dans un tel cadre géométrique. Il est alors possible de donner un sens à une large classe d’équations paraboliques semi-linéaires incluant les équations généralisées de KPZ en dimension 1+1 et du modèle parabolique d’Anderson en dimension 3. On montre ensuite que cette méthode peut être étendue pour la résolution des versions quasi-linéaires de ces équations en adaptant simplement les outils du calcul paracontrôlé et en généralisant la notion de système paracontrôlé à des familles infinies générées par une structure algébrique finie.Un autre problème abordé dans cette thèse est l’étude des opérateurs stochastiques singuliers comme l’hamiltonien d’Anderson, c’est-à-dire l’opérateur de Schrödinger avec comme potentiel un bruit blanc espace. Après une étape de renormalisation, le calcul paracontrôlé permet la définition de cet objet en tant qu’opérateur auto-adjoint à spectre discret. D’autres opérateurs sont aussi étudiés comme le laplacien magnétique avec un champ magnétique bruit blanc. L’étude de ce type d’opérateur permet la résolution d’équations d’évolutions associées ou l’étude de modèles aléatoires continus. On obtient ainsi des inégalités de Strichartz pour les équations de Schrödinger et des ondes avec un potentiel bruit blanc sur une surface compacte avec ou sans bord et on étudie les modèles de la mesure polymère en dimension 2 avec potentiel bruit blanc et la diffusion de Brox sur le cercle.This thesis presents the paracontrolled calculus built with the heat semigroup to study different singular stochastic partial differential equations on compact Riemannian manifolds. Using the Calderón formula as a continuous analogue of the Paley-Littlewood decomposition, we can construct a paraproduct in such geometrical framework. It is then possible to give a sense to a large class of semilinear parabolic equations including the generalised KPZ equation in dimension 1+1 and the generalised parabolic Anderson model equation in dimension 3. We show that this method can be extended to deal with the quasilinear version of these equations by a simple adaptation of the paracontrolled calculus and by generalizing the notion of paracontrolled systems to infinite families generated by a finite algebraic structure. Another problem tackled in this thesis is the study of singular stochastic operators such as the Anderson Hamiltonian, that is the Schrödinger operator with as potential a space white noise. After a renormalisation step, paracontrolled calculus allows the definition of this object as a self-adjoint operator with discrete spectrum. Other operators are also studied such as the magnetic Laplacian with white noise magnetic field. Study of this type of operators allows the resolution of associated evolution equations or the study of continuous random models. We thereby obtain Strichartz inequalities for the Schrödinger and wave equations with a white noise potential on compact surfaces with or without boundary and we study the models of the polymer measure in two dimensions with white noise potential and the Brox diffusion on the circle

The infinitesimal generator of the Brox diffusion

We construct the infinitesimal generator of the Brox diffusion on a line with a periodic Brownian environment. This gives a new construction of the process and allows to solve the singular martingale problem. We prove that the associated semigroup is strong Feller with Gaussian lower and upper bounds. This also yields a construction of the Brox diffusion on a segment with periodic or Dirichlet boundary conditions. In this bounded space, we prove that there exists a unique measure and the existence of a spectral gap giving exponential ergodicity of the diffusion
