Model Independent Electromagnetic corrections in hadronic decays
The long distance correction to the total decay width of the decay is calculated in a model independent approach where a
discrimination of photons in the Bremmstrahlung process is assumed. This
correction is completely free of UV and IR singularities and moreover, it
satisfies electromagnetic gauge invariance. The result of this work can be
applied on the tau decays:
A calculation of the physical mass of sigma meson
We calculate the physical mass and the width of the sigma meson by considering that it couples in vacuum to two virtual pions. The mass is calculated by using the spectral function, and we find that it is about 600 MeV. In addition, we obtained 220 MeV as the value for the width of its spectral function. The value obtained for the mass is in good agreement with that reported in the Particle Data Book for the σ-meson, which is also named f0(600). This result also shows that σ-meson can be considered as a two-pion resonanc
Influence of the Effective Potential on the Crossover Width in the Two Flavor Polyakov-Nambu-Jona-Lasinio Model
We study the strongly interacting matter phase diagram on the T−μ plane through the two flavor Polyakov extended NJL model. We compare the phase diagrams obtained from three different effective potentials, focusing on the behavior of the width of the crossover region and the critical end point for each case. We describe various susceptibilities to obtain the chiral crossover and the color deconfinement crossover
