    Proposal of a Novel Setup for Linac Monitoring Using a Specifically Designed Plastic Scintillator and a Spectrophotometer

    In this work we report the design, implementation and results of an alternative monitoring system for a linear accelerator (LINAC) used in medical therapy. The system proposed consist in aslab of scintillator plastic with awavelength shifter fiberoptically coupled to collect the light generated,and a Spectrophotometer Ocean Optics USB4000 as analyzer. The control was made with two computers, one into the therapy room and another, using a VNC (Virtual Network Computer) and Ethernet wire, outside of the room in order to avoid radiation exposure. The LINAC dose range covered was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 Monitor Units (MU) with 6 and 18 MeV energy photons. The spectrum obtained was compared with the measures of the LINAC ionization camera used to calibrate it. The results obtained allowus to propose this device as an alternative method to monitor the LINAC performance

    Chemical constituents of Cardiospermum corindum L. and their distribution in Sapindaceae

    AbstractPhytochemical investigation on the aerial parts of Cardiospermum corindum L. led to the isolation of two triterpenes [friedelin (1) and friedelinol (2)], two coumarins, [umbelliferone (4) and scopoletin (5)], three methoxylated flavones [umuhengerin (3), luteolin 3’,4’-dimethyl ether (6) and chrysoeriol (7)], one non-cyanogenic glucoside [epidermin (8)] and one cyclitol [(L)-quebrachitol (9)]. To our knowledge, 2, 3, 6 and 8 were isolated for the first time within Sapindaceae. Of these classes of metabolites, the distribution of methoxylated flavonoids in Cardiospermum is reviewed, including the new records, indicating that polymethoxylated flavonoid (3) may be value as chemotaxonomic markers for this genus

    Monitoring System for Agrometeorological Application with Voice-Controlled Interface

    The objective of this work is to present aspects about the already completed development stages of a monitoring system for agrometeorological application that uses Human-Computer Interface controlled by written and spoken languages. Technologies related to the development of this type of HCI have been increasingly used and are gradually more connected to the most diverse devices and machines including fieldwork uses. This interdisciplinary work is supported by research in the areas of Meteorology, Linguistics, Natural Language Processing (NPL) and Computing using physical prototypes focused on monitoring: automated solar search, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), unmanned groundvehicle (UGV), mix of meteorological sensors and the system itself. The steps already completed and interrelated - automated solar tracker, the set of meteorological sensors and the system - show that this type of monitoring has a significant degree of accuracy, low cost and autonomy - it does not depend on the conventional grid and makes small decisions

    O ABC Corte é um projeto de transferência de tecnologia coordenado pela Embrapa e executado por meio de parcerias com instituições de assistência técnica públicas e privadas. O objetivo é estimular a adoção de tecnologias para a intensificação da produção de carne em pastagens por meio de uma rede de técnicos multiplicadores certificados e Unidades de Referência Tecnológica (URTs) no estado do Tocantins. As tecnologias propostas estão alinhadas ao Plano Agricultura de Baixa Emissão de Carbono (Plano ABC), visando à recuperação de pastagens degradadas e à redução de pressão antrópica sobre áreas de vegetação nativa nos biomas Cerrado e Amazônia. O Plano ABC do Tocantins estabelece uma meta de recuperação de 1,2 milhão de ha de pastagens degradadas até o ano de 2020.     Este documento tem por finalidade apresentar os resultados técnicos e financeiros obtidos na Unidade de Referência Tecnológica de Cristalândia, localizada na Fazenda Limeira, parceira do projeto ABC Corte. Neste trabalho demonstra-se como a aplicação de tecnologias, como manejo rotacionado do pastejo e adubação de pastagens, podem contribuir para o aumento da produtividade e rentabilidade da pecuária tocantinense. Trabalho semelhante tem sido desenvolvido em diversas outras propriedades rurais no estado. A equipe da Embrapa apresenta nesse documento indicadores do desempenho técnico e financeiro de tais tecnologias nas condições tocantinenses, possibilitando aos bovinocultores uma importante referência no processo de intensificação da produção de carne a pasto.bitstream/item/208469/1/CNPASA-2019-doc38.pd
