Total Error in a Plug-in Estimator of Level Sets

Given a probability density f on R^d, the minimum volume set of probability content á can be estimated by the level set of the same probability content corresponding to a kernel estimator of f. We obtain convergence rates for this plug-in estimator with respect to a measure-based distance between sets. This distance has a straightforward interpretation in the context of cluster analysis.

La reforma de les ciències socials en l'ensenyament secundari obligatori, un joc de paraules?

El objetivo de esta Tribuna es presentar las reflexiones, las vivencias y las opiniones de un grupo de mujeres profesionales de la educación, preocupadas por el tema del sexismo y del androcentrismo, que están trabajando en ello en los distintos niveles de la enseñanza en Cataluña. Para conseguir este objetivo se han mantenido una serie de «conversaciones» individuales y colectivas con Marina Subirats, Irene Rigau, profesoras de Universidad, de Primaria y de Secundaria donde se han expuesto y debatido puntos de vista sobre la realidad educativa en cuanto a la desigualdad de géneros, la discriminación de la mujer, la igualdad de oportunidades, la diversidad, la discriminación positiva, la jerarquia, el feminismo y los estudios de género y la Reforma educativa. En este sentido cabe mencionar la aportación crítica del artículo de Amparo Moreno Sardà.L 'objectif de cette Tribune est celui de présenter les réflexions, les expériences et les opinions d'un groupe de femmes professionnelles de I'éducation, préoccupées par la sexisme et I'androcentrisme, qui sont en train de travailler sur ce sujet aux différents niveaux de I'enseignement en Catalogne. Pour atteindre cet objectif on a eu un grand nombre "d'entretiens" individuels et collectifs avec Marina Subirats, Irene Rigau, avec des professeurs de l'Université, de I'école primaire et secondaire ou l'on a exposé et discuté des opinions sur la réalité éducative quant á I'inégalité des genres, la discrimination positive, la hiérarchie, le féminisme et les études de genre et la Réforme éducative. Dans ce sens il faut signaler I'article de Amparo Moreno Sardá.The aim of this article is to present the reflexions, experiences and opinions of a group of women working in the field of education, concerned with the problem of sexism ans male-centred teaching in schools, and who are working on this at different le veis within the educational institutions of Catalonia. The contents are based on a series of conversations, held singly and in groups, with Marina Subirats and Irene Rigau, university lecturers, primary and secondary school teachers, where they gave their opinions on the state of the education system regarding disequalities betwen the sexes, discrimination against women, equal opportunities, diversity, positive discrimination, hierarchies, feminism and sex-based studies and the present Educational Reform, concerning the last of which we should mention the contribution of Amparo Moreno Sardá
