Birkatun tuġsal fīhā al-ḏabā’iḥa. Nota a una traducción árabe-andalusí de los evangelios (Ms. 4971 BNM)

Análisis de la traducción árabe de una secuencia de Jn 5,2 contenida en el ms. 4971 de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid. En el presente trabajo mostramos que esta traducción difiere totalmente de la versión de Ibn Balašk y de otras versiones árabes cristianas, al tiempo que representa una traducción que muy probablemente corresponde a una versión que nos es desconocida.Analysis of the Arabic translation of a sequence contained in Jn 5:2 gathered by Ms 4971 in the National Library, Madrid. Our aim in this note is to show that this translation is totally different from the version of Ibn Balašk and other Christian Arabic versions, while representing a translation that most likely corresponds to a version which has not survived

En este trabajo nos ocupamos de una referencia en la Cronografía de Barhebreo sobre el nacimiento un niño con malformaciones físicas, su relación con las descripciones del Anticristo y la comparación con las versiones anteriores de esta leyenda recogidas por el patriarca Miguel el Sirio y el monje Teófanes Confesor, con el fin de mostrar las relaciones existentes en las tres redacciones y la posible fuente utilizada por los dos autores siriacos.In the present article we analyze a textual reference on the birth of a child with physical malformations in Bar Hebraeusʼ Chronography, the relationship with the descriptions of the Antichrist, and its comparison with previous versions of this legend gathered by Patriarch Michael the Syrian and monk Theophanes Confessor. Our aim is to show the relationship between the three accounts and the possible source used by the two Syriac authors

Varietas preislamica: ka-²a¥¥i zabūrin fī ma¡ā|ifa ruhbāni (Imru’ al-Qays, Dīwān, 88/1-2)

In this article I attempt to analyse a simile that occurs in a poetic fragment by Imru’ al-Qays. En este artículo nos ocupamos del desarrollo experimentado por la identificación de un árbol milagroso del que se hace eco Sozomeno en su Historia ecclesiastica. El rasgo narrativo procede de una tradición que circuló entre los coptos y remonta a la obra apócrifa conocida como Liber Infantia Salvatoris.This paper focuses on the development of the identification of a miraculous tree echoed by Sozomen in his Historia ecclesiastica. The narrative feature comes from a tradition that circulated among the Copts, and goes back to the apocryphal work known like Liber Infantia Salvatoris
