Adatok a hortobágyi ehető vadnövények és más érdekesebb növényfelhasználások ismeretéhez
Use of wild plant species by herders was documented in the Hortobágy salt steppe. 77 species were
used, 18 as a wild food plant (e.g. Lepidium perfoliatum and L. ruderale, Atriplex tatarica), 18 for medicinal
purposes (the most important being the chamomile), 10 as a toy, some for binding or basket making, and 12
as a flower. Gypsophila muralis was used for hand washing, Bolboschoenus maritimus, Phragmites australis,
Amaranthus albus, Cichorium intybus, Amaranthus retroflexus, Ononis spinosa for heating in the beehive
oven. Xanthium italicum was used for felt making
A malnutriciós-inflammatiós komplex szindróma patofiziológiai szerepe vesetranszplantációt követően = Role of malnutrition-inflammation complex syndrome in pathophisiology after kidney transplantation
Jelen tanulmányunkban 993 prevalens beteg bevonásával felmértük a malnutriciós-inflammatiós komplex szindróma (MICS) jelenlét, a poszt-transzplantációs vérszegénységgel és beteg- illetve vesegraft túléléssel való összefüggését vesetranszplantált betegek körében. | We assessed the presence and role of Malnutrition-Inflammation Complex Syndrome (MICS) in kidney transplanted patients including 993 prevalent patients. We also assessed the association between MICS versus post-transplant anemia, graft and patient survival. The Malnutrition Inflammation Score (MIS) is a reliable instrument to assess the presence and severity of MICS in this population. MIS was a significant and independent predictor of post-transplant anemia in kidney transplanted patients with estimated glomerular filtration rate below 60 ml/min. One point increase in MIS scale was significantly associated with 13% elevated mortality risk in these patients even after adjusting for several co-variables. To our knowledge our study group was the first to assess MICS in kidney transplant recipients using the MIS scale
Combined Use of Aerial Remote Sensing and Terrestrial Survey in ICAO eTOD's Electronic Terrain- and Obstacle Data Collection
Maintaining and enhancing aviation safety at all times is an essential factor at various airports around the world. It is not enough to keep it at that level, as we also see from history that the volume of air traffic doubles almost every 15 years. The number of aircraft in traffic is constantly increasing, and airport infrastructure needs to be developed. Consequently, the challenges for aviation are also greater. Electronic Terrain- and Obstacle Data Collection (eTOD) at airports and their surroundings are an essential procedure for aviation safety that aims to organize databases of potentially dangerous flight obstacles. The process is based on passive optical aerial remote sensing from a fixed-wing aircraft. With the help of point cloud and geoinformatics software created during the processing of in-flight recordings and additional data, strictly defined terrain- and obstacle data can be organized into databases, the format of which is regulated by international standards and documents, according to which the obstacle database can be used internationally. These data sets are needed not only because they are required by law, but also because they form the basis for the design of various aircraft procedures and make a major contribution to safe aviation
PHYSIOLOGIC TRANSFUSION TRIGGERS AND MASSIVE TRANSFUSION
Blood transfusion is often a life saving intervention, but can also be harmful. Restrictive transfusion protocols have recently been developed with a post transfusion target haemoglobin level of 70–100 g/l. Whether haemoglobin level on its own is enough to guide our transfusion policy is an important issue. This review was aimed to look at other possible, so called physiological indicators of blood transfusion what clinicians can be used in addition to haemoglobin during their everyday practice. In the second part of the paper the problems of the management of massive bleeding are reviewed. In both cases, a complex approach is requiredtaking into consideration physiological changes in order to individualize treatment and hence avoid harm that can be caused by unnecessary transfusion of blood products
