Problems of professional training of doctors of general practice β family medicine in the system of postgraduate education.
The article reveals the problems of professional training of family doctors arising in the implementation of measures on preserving and promoting health, preventing diseases in children and adolescents. At present, the doctors of the first level are not able to organize and realize the entire complex of medical and social assistance in the ambulatory clinic at the proper level. The improvement of postgraduate training of family doctors in the field of outpatient pediatric care has been suggested. At the same time, the development of curricula for thematic improvement should be based on studying educational needs of the healthcare system in the region and the ongoing reform processes
Lecture as a Teaching Method in Occupational Education of Pediatric Physicians
Lectures occupy one of the dominant places in occupational education. They are the principal source of new information; therefore a small number of lectures at the stage of post-graduate education for pediatric physicians create certain difficulties during their presentation. The objective of this work was to improve the quality of occupational training of pediatric physicians by enhancing the lecture material presentation. Results and discussion. Increase in volume of presented lecture material may be achieved by holding cycles of thematic improvement on the most pressing issues of pediatrics before pre-accreditation preparation. Other means include taking into account the cohort of listeners, presence of new medical information and its availability while planning lectures. Topical lectures should be given with the presentation of material which is sufficiently outlined in medical literature. When information material is not sufficient, it is better to deliver lecture-consultations, after preliminary determination of the initial level of listenersβ proficiency. The contents of lecture should have βcompensatingβ character. A small number of slides (screens) and short but informative phrases should be used in multimedia presentation of lectures.Conclusions. Careful preliminary preparation to the lecture, the use of different types of lectures including elements of βimprovisationβ can substantially improve the presentation of lecture material, and, consequently, the quality of post-graduate education of pediatric physicians, with the imbalance of number of lectures and the scope of new medical information

Diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia in outpatient practice continues to be a difficult task. To date, doctors have to deal with both hyper- and under-diagnostics, late hospitalization of children. The authors highlight the main criteria for pneumonia in Ukraine and other countries of the world and, propose a unification of the criteria for effective disease registration, possibilities of using world-wide diagnostic and treatment methods.ΠΠΈΠ°Π³Π½ΠΎΡΡΠΈΠΊΠ° Π²Π½Π΅Π±ΠΎΠ»ΡΠ½ΠΈΡΠ½ΡΡ
