High Accuracy Phishing Detection Based on Convolutional Neural Networks
The persistent growth in phishing and the rising volume of phishing websites has led to individuals and organizations worldwide becoming increasingly exposed to various cyber-attacks. Consequently, more effective phishing detection is required for improved cyber defence. Hence, in this paper we present a deep learning-based approach to enable high accuracy detection of phishing sites. The proposed approach utilizes convolutional neural networks (CNN) for high accuracy classification to distinguish genuine sites from phishing sites. We evaluate the models using a dataset obtained from 6,157 genuine and 4,898 phishing websites. Based on the results of extensive experiments, our CNN based models proved to be highly effective in detecting unknown phishing sites. Furthermore, the CNN based approach performed better than traditional machine learning classifiers evaluated on the same dataset, reaching 98.2% phishing detection rate with an F1-score of 0.976. The method presented in this pa-per compares favourably to the state-of-the art in deep learning based phishing website detection
Gallstone ileus: A rare and often disregarded cause of intestinal obstruction: Case report with literature review
Gallstone ileus is very rare complication of cholelithiasis. As it is usually a disease of the elderly, the morbidity and mortality associated with it is high due to the presence of co-morbidities. This is additionally made worse by the delay encountered before reaching diagnosis which often demands a high index of suspicion. In Ethiopia, a country where intestinal obstruction is seen to be one of the common presentations in the emergency surgical department, gall stone has never been seen to be reported as a cause. Thus we present this rare case and discuss the mode of presentation, diagnostic difficulties and differing treatment options. We report the case of an 80-year old lady who presented with signs and symptoms of small intestinal obstruction. Upon exploration we were astonished to find the cause of the obstruction to be a gallstone which was removed by simple ileostomy. Postoperative course was uneventful. Keywords: gallstone ileus, intestinal obstruction, gallston
A SHORT REVIEW ON HERBAL PRODUCTS ACTING AS ANTI-HIV AGENTS
Over the previous decade, considerable advancement has been made in research on the regular items having hostility to HIV movement. An assortment of optional metabolites got from natural origin demonstrated mild to strong anti-HIV properties. Nature has consistently given a wellspring of medications to different sicknesses. Various therapeutic plants have been accounted for to have against HIV. The investigation of regular items in biomedical exploration is not an advanced idea. vast numbers of the best medicinal therapeutic drugs are extracted from natural products and concentrated in HIV/AIDS. The Biomedical review has a long history of disclosure depending on the screen of medicinal spices and conventional medicines. It is essential to remember the clinical study convention to conclude Therapies based on these herbal products combat the negative view of alternative medicine as therapeutic remedies. This review addressed different herbal products that are having anti-HIV properties
On the Effect of Correlated Measurements on the Performance of Distributed Estimation
We address the distributed estimation of an unknown scalar parameter in
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Sensor nodes transmit their noisy observations
over multiple access channel to a Fusion Center (FC) that reconstructs the
source parameter. The received signal is corrupted by noise and channel fading,
so that the FC objective is to minimize the Mean-Square Error (MSE) of the
estimate. In this paper, we assume sensor node observations to be correlated
with the source signal and correlated with each other as well. The correlation
coefficient between two observations is exponentially decaying with the
distance separation. The effect of the distance-based correlation on the
estimation quality is demonstrated and compared with the case of unity
correlated observations. Moreover, a closed-form expression for the outage
probability is derived and its dependency on the correlation coefficients is
investigated. Numerical simulations are provided to verify our analytic
results.Comment: 5 page
