Universities and institutions of higher education with a professional, special, educational and cultural environment, play an important role in effective knowledge management and preparing the background for knowledge sharing. Faculty members are known as the main elements of the university who own mental and intellectual property. Their knowledge sharing under certain conditions along with knowledge sharing behaviors improve individual and organizational operations. Moreover, the tendency to do these actions is the most important factor in knowledge sharing behavior and emotional intelligence (EQ), as one of the social intelligence factors, can guide individual thinking and activity. This study examines the impact of emotional intelligence on faculty members' knowledge sharing behaviors. Regarding the purpose and nature, this study was functional and its methodology was exploratory and due to evaluation of the relations and impacts among variables, it was a correlational method. Data collection included interviews with experts for the qualitative part and a questionnaire for the quantitative part. The qualitative findings indicate different emotional intelligence dimensions, which includes self-awareness, social skills, coping with pressure, adaptability and overall creation. In addition, the result of EQ dimensions on knowledge sharing behavior reveal that “social skills, coping with pressure, and overall creation” share a link with faculty members' research behavior among the four dimensions of knowledge sharing behavior and that “adaptability” has no significant relationship with knowledge sharing behavior

    Get PDF
he Internet of Things (IoT) as an emerging technology has widely been discussed in the literature in recent years. There are also bibliometric analyses in this regard that illustrate the current status of IoT research. The bibliometric analyses have been used widely by researchers to provide insights into current topics and identify emerging and future research in different fields. As there are challenges or barriers to the use of IoT, it is necessary for researchers to focus on this area. Various studies have discussed IoT challenges/barriers; however, a picture from such research is not accessible in terms of bibliometrics. This research, therefore, conducts a bibliometric analysis on publications that discuss IoT challenges/barriers to identify challenges most discussed in the literature. Results show that challenges/barriers to IoT usually discussed in the literature include security, privacy, trust, standards, architecture, and energy

While this study identifies the most important key indicators that influence the banking industry, it also attempts to provide a forecast for the Iranian banking industry in the future. Scenario planning and cross-impact matrix are used in this study. Among all the identified factors, 29 key factors influencing the future of the industry were selected through a fuzzy analytical hierarchical process and then the impact of each of these factors was determined through analysis of the cross-impact matrix. The cross-impact balance was then used to write scenarios.Accordingly, of all combined scenarios, the most likely strong scenarios were clustered into five general categories using K-mode clustering. Finally, four scenarios were identified, including optimism for the bank, banking industry development, inflationary conditions and sanctions. It was therefore possible to define action plans for each of the scenarios

Nowadays, the academic world is faced with various challenges involving fraudulent activities related to publishing. The most important of these concerns the fast growth in predatory journals, a phenomenon that has more victims than others. In response, we have offered papers and proceedings that discuss the issue of predatory journals in trying to increase the awareness of researchers. The unproven hypothesis is that by increasing awareness among junior researchers the numbers of victims will decrease. This hypothesis, however, has never been tested. In this short piece, we try to prove or reject this conjecture.

Information security is an extremely important aspect of information systems. A lot of research has been done in the field of technological security of information, but with the development of security needs, attention has been paid to the role of management in information security. Economic valuation of investment in the information security of organizations is one of the issues of management in this field. In this research, to examine the issue of evaluating investment in information security and finding suitable methods for it, a systematic review of the approaches in information security investment has been done. Other goals of this study are to study the evolution of approaches used in the years 2006 to 2017. In order to carry out this systematic review of all studies in the field of information security investment using the research keywords, extracted Springer, IEEE-Explore, Web of Science, Science Direct databases, ultimately 146 articles related to This topic  have been investigated. The research findings identified eight main approaches (game theory, risk-based approach, decision support systems, Utility maximization, rate of return on investment, Net Present Value, expected utility theory, real options theory). According to the results of this research there has been more interested in using game theory in recent years

One of the problems of today's banking system is overdue loans. The basic strategy for solving this problem is creating a credit rating system of customers. Financial ratios extracted from financial statements of companies have long been considered as one of the useful tools used for evaluating companies by individuals to predict future conditions. Therefore, in this study, ranking of companies in each industry has been discussed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and a number of inputs and outputs such as financial ratios and other important characteristics from the viewpoint of professors and credit experts. Then, ratings of the inputs and outputs (credit criteria) have been identified to distinguish and compare the types of industries using sensitivity analysis. Finally, the values of inputs and outputs have been studied for different industries. The research approach can be used by banks in credit risk management for customers

Assessing the success of information systems within organizations has been identified as one of the most critical subjects of information system management in both public and private organizations. It is therefore important to measure the success of information systems from the user's perspective. The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the degree of information system success by the adjusted DeLone and McLean’s model in the field financial information system (FIS) in an Iranian University. The relationships among the dimensions in an extended systems success measurement framework were tested. Data were collected by questionnaire from end-users of a financial information system at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. The adjusted DeLone and McLean model was contained five variables (system quality, information quality, system use, user satisfaction, and individual impact). The results revealed that system quality was significant predictor of system use, user satisfaction and individual impact. Information quality was also a significant predictor of user satisfaction and individual impact, but not of system use. System use and user satisfaction were positively related to individual impact. The influence of user satisfaction on system use was insignifican

Cultural variety is a behavioral characteristic of investors and evaluating the cultural influences in the area of financial management on the decisions of investors plays an important role. In fact, different behaviors and decisions are required in various cultures facing the prices, price fluctuations and important or non-important published news of portfolio. In this paper, a questionnaire was designed including 22 cultural items in three criteria of values, facilities and behavior in order to measure the cultural factors affecting investment in stock exchange. Experts’ comments were used on the design of items and quintet Likert spectrum was applied for the answers. Structural equation modeling, or multivariable analysis with latent variables, is a comprehensive statistical approach for testing the hypotheses about relationships between observed and latent variables. Such analyzes have been done by LISREL software and the results showed that there was a significant relationship between investment and its triple factors and also between the items and triple factors affecting on investment
