    Get PDF
The IoT system would facilitate the continuous assessment of students' martial arts development by tracking their progress over time. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in elementary school martial arts education has the potential to revolutionize the learning experience and promote holistic development. This paper proposed an IoT-integrated system for the assessment of elementary school martial arts education. The proposed architecture incorporates an Automated Ranking Parallel Classifier (ARPC) model. The proposed ARPC system incorporates physical health monitoring and assessment, providing real-time data on students' physical activity, heart rate, and other relevant health metrics. The IoT system enables continuous monitoring of students' physical activity, allowing instructors to track their progress, level of engagement, and effort. the system monitors students' physical health parameters, such as heart rate, respiration rate, and sleep patterns, enabling early detection of health issues and supporting overall well-being. The ARPC model comprises the ranking of the features in the IoT data with parallel data processing. With ARPC the activities of the students are monitored and martial arts education in elementary schools is examined. Simulation analysis stated that the ARPC model achieves a higher classification accuracy of 99.73% compared with the conventional state-of-art techniques

[EN] The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 6-week plyometric training on muscular strength in young silat athletes. Thirty-four male silat exponents (Mage = 14 ± 3.22 years) were randomly assigned to a control or experimental group (n = 17 for each group). The experimental group participated in conventionalsilat workout routine three times a week for one-hour session plus plyometric training two times a week for one-hour session. The control group performed conventional silat workout routine three times per week for one to two-hours session. The one repetition maximum (1RM) squat test was used three times (pre-, mid- and post-test). Results revealed that muscular strength performance improved for the experimental group. This improvement was 9.16% between pre- and mid-test, 18.81% between mid- and post-test, and 29.7 % between pre- and post-test. Plyometric training was shown to be effective to improve maximum strength of young silat athletes

Balance can be defined as the state of having weight spread equally so that it will not fall, balance is the ability to move or to remain in a position without losing control or falling. The objective of this study is to investigate whether any gender differences exist in balance performance during quiet one leg standing among Chulalongkorn University (CU) students. This study is an experimental research design. An experimental study been used to test the hypothesis in this study. In this study, the independent variable is gender while the dependent variable is the balancing. The controlled variable is the subject must first do helicopter spinning for 5 complete rounds before proceeding to the balancing test. The samples are from the students of Faculty of Sports Science in Chulalongkorn University. Based on the Cohen’s table, total sample size for this study is 34 students which consist of 17 females and 17 males. The sampling method will be used is purposive non-random sampling. The experiment results collected and the score recorded. The SPSS Statistics version 20.0 be used for all statistical analysis. The results be analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test analysis to find out whether there is a balance difference among the gender. The dependent variable is numerical and the observation is independent. The distribution data is normal which is based on Central Limit Theorem (CLT) n>30. Descriptive analysis used to assess mean and standard deviation (SD) of all the variables. There is an equal score for both gender; male and female in overall stability index. For normal score, both male and female get 6 out of 17 while 11 out of 17 of both genders obtained a good score which is better than the norms

The involvement among person with disabilities (PWD) in physical activity related to the health and social benefits. The benefits are such as to develop some new skills, the opportunity to meet new friends and also to increase the confidence level among them. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the motivation factors to participate in physical activity among persons with hearing impaired ability. A total of 100 (n=100) persons with hearing impaired (male N=50, female N=50) aged range from 13 to 25 participated in the study. Motivation for physical activity was assessed by 40-items of Physical Leisure and Motivation Scale (PALMS) which measured eight motives developed by Molanourouzi, Khoo and Morris (2014). Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 was used to analyze the descriptive and inferential data. The Independent T-test was used to measure the motivation level and difference motivation factor between the male and the female participants. The Cronbach alpha was used to check the Internal Consistency of the PALMS. Results revealed the female and the male participants had different motivation factors to participate in physical activity. Five highest motivations among the male are enjoyment (4.62±0.714), mastery (4.60±0.495), psychological condition (4.40±0.495), affiliation (4.30±0.544) and physical condition (4.20±0.606). The female tends to competition / ego (4.78±4.122), physical condition (4.52±0.614), enjoyment (4.48±0.609), mastery (4.48±0.646) and affiliation (4.36±0.631). There was no significant different on motivation between the genders among the person with hearing impaired (t (98) =-1.14, p>.05). It can be concluded that a person with disability can reduce his or her negative perception when participating in physical activit
