Sistem Penilaian Prestasi Dari Aspek Faktor Kejayaan Kritikal (FKK)

Kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan Faktor Kejayaan Kritikal (FKK) dalam melaksanakan Sistem Penilaian Prestasi (SPP) berkomputer di Jabatan Polis Diraja Malaysia. FKK ini adalah merupakan satu metod analisis situasi yang dilakukan dengan memungut dan menganalisis maklumat mengenai sesuatu bisnes atau projek bagi menentukan kedudukannya samada berada pada landasan yang betul dan memuaskan demi mencapai kejayaan. Model untuk kajian ini adalah merupakan satu penSlan aplikasi SPP yang digunapakai dan diuji oleh 34 orang pegawai di Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Arnan secara dalam talian menerusi terminal komputer di pej abat masing-masing. Data-data kajian diperolehi daripada pegawai-pegawai ini dengan menggunakan borang soal-selidik. Data tersebut telah dianalisis dengan menggunakan kaedah Skala Likert. Beberapa kategori FKK telah diperolehi daripada kajian ini seperti FKK yang dikemukakan oleh responden, FKK aplikasi yang hendak dilaksanakan, FKK dari aspek sikap dan penerimaan pengguna terhadap aplikasi SPP berkomputer dan FKK dari aspek rangkaian komputer semasa dalam PDRM. Kesimpulannya, kajian ini berjaya membuktikan bahawa aplikasi yang berinovasi seperti SPP berkomputer akan diterima dengan mudah oleh pegawai-pegawai PDRM apabila dilaksanakan. Didapati juga bahawa pengalaman lampau pegawai yang mengisi borang penilaian prestasi POL. 1 60 secara konvensional akan dapat menyenangkan proses pelaksanaan SPP nanti. Kajian ini juga menekankan bahawa sistem rangkaian komputer yang selamat adalah perlu untuk menjaga kerahsiaan maklumat SPP yang disimpan di dalam pangkalan data sistem komputer tersebut

Development of tacit knowledge in lean management in an organization: The case of automotive industry in Malaysia

Nowadays, the implementation of lean management has been on the rise globally especially in the automotive industry.However, there are several organizations still fail to apply lean management effectively and continuously.Each failure can be attributed in two different causes, which are lack of understanding of the concept of waste, and the fundamental issues of lean culture.To be successful in the implementation of lean management may not be easy.In order to create the foundation for lean to take hold, a significant organizational change must occur within the organization. The organization must fully understand the knowledge of lean management system and the lean management tools as well. Hybrid shear-warp rendering

Shear-warp rendering is a fast and efficient method for visualizing a volume of sampled data based on a factorization of the viewing transformation into a shear and a warp. In shear-warp rendering, the volume is resampled, composited and warped to obtain the final image. Many applications, however, require a mixture of polygonal and volumetric data to be rendered together in a single image. This paper describes a new approach for extending the shear-warp rendering to simultaneously handle polygonal objects. A data structure, the zlist-buffe, is presented. It is basically a multilayered z-buffer. With the zlist-buffer, an object-based scan conversion of polygons requires only a simple modification of the standard polygon scan-conversion algorithm. This paper shows how the scan conversion can be integrated with shear-warp rendering of run-length encoded volume data to obtain quality images in real time. The utility and performance of the approach using a number of test renderings is also discussed

Pengoksidaan Elektrokimia C. I. Reactive Orange 4 Menggunakan Elektrod Komposit Dwilogam

Elektrod komposit dwilogam yang disediakan hasil campuran serbuk argentums (Ag) dan karbon (C) (dinamakan AgC-PVC) memberikan hasil elektrolisis larutan pewarna C. I. Reactive Orange 4 (RO4) yang tidak berwarna dan tanpa penghasilan enapan lumpur berbanding elektrod komposit dwilogam lain. Perbezaan nisbah komposisi serbuk Ag:C (30:70, 50:50 and 70:30) dalam penyediaan elektrod seterusnya diuji untuk melihat kesan perbezaan komposisi ini terhadap penyahwarnaan RO4. Melalui persamaan Tafel yang diperoleh, elektrod Ag28.5C66.5-PVC5 yang menggunakan komposisi 30% Ag dan 70% C memberikan nilai perubahan ketumpatan arus, io yang lebih tinggi iaitu 3.555 mA/cm2 berbanding elektrod lain. Elektrod ini mempunyai aktiviti pemangkinan elektrokimia yang lebih baik berbanding elektrod lain. Hasil proses elektrolisis elektrod Ag28.5C66.5-PVC5 terhadap larutan RO4 telah dianalisis menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Nampak dan didapati proses degredasi kumpulan azo dalam pewarna tersebut telah berlaku selepas proses elektrolisis yang menghasilkan larutan tidak berwarna

Evaluación de conocimientos de profesores en formación sobre el juego equitativo

El objetivo de este trabajo es evaluar los conocimientos matemático-didácticos, de una muestra de 283 futuros profesores de educación primaria en relación a la idea de juego equitativo a través de sus respuestas a una tarea abierta. El conocimiento común del contenido se analiza a través de sus soluciones a un problema, tomado de un libro de texto de primaria. El conocimiento especializado del contenido y el conocimiento del contenido y los estudiantes se infieren a partir del análisis que realizan los participantes, trabajando en pequeños grupos, de los contenidos matemáticos en la tarea y de las respuestas correctas e incorrectas proporcionadas al resolver el problema por alumnos de Educación Primaria. Los resultados sugieren la necesidad de reforzar la formación de los futuros profesores, tanto en el conocimiento matemático como en el conocimiento didáctico

STARZ-DRP: Improving Efficiency of Patient Care in Community Pharmacies

Customers are always becoming the center of interest among the physicians, dentists, and pharmacists in the healthcare system. However, they are always having favorable feeling with the community pharmacists (CPs) as the first spot to seek advice. For that reason, it is essential to determine the character, behavior, and habit of customers toward the CPs and their extended pharmacy services. In addition, it is critical to determine the possible factors, which might have an effect on their characters, behaviors, and habits. The outcome of the analysis might help the CPs to understand the scenario in a particular way. Afterward, a structured and systematic approach known as “STARZ-DRP” is instigated as a basic skill to ensure whether each pharmacist has the self-confidence and self-competence to interact with the customers. The entire course of action shall empower the strength of personality among the CPs in the healthcare system

Model of Tacit Knowledge Transfer in Lean Management Implementation in an Organization

The increase in competition worldwide had driven organizations to face with new challenges. The situation had prompted the manufacturers to perform a variety of effective strategies such as the implementation of lean manufacturing system in their organization. In this study, the key elements in developing the lean tacit knowledge transfer within the organization were identified. In addition, this study also investigates the transfer of lean tacit knowledge, which involves the sender and the recipient of lean knowledge within the organization. Data were collected through a single case study for a period of 2 months in an automotive manufacturing plant in Malaysia. The results of the study found that the lean knowledge could be developed through a number of key elements. A model of tacit lean knowledge transfer was developed to help improve work performance during the implementation of lean manufacturing system. In addition, the development of the model can explain how lean knowledge was developed and transferred from one party to another in the organization. The existence of such a model could assist an effective lean manufacturing implementation with every organization should has a good lean knowledge and understand how to properly implement lean in the production process

Socio-cultural influences in the composition of traditional Malay house compounds in rural Melaka

The traditional Malay living environment is planned carefully through harmonious interactions between man, nature and culture, which are translated into the home design and the surroundings. However, rapid urbanization and industrialization in Malaysia have transformed many traditional villages due to the insufficient numbers of studies done in the local context. This paper explores the existence of the local essences of the Malay landscape characteristics within rural traditional residential gardens through the study on preferences and influencing factors. Eighteen case studies were involved in the quantitative and qualitative inventory processes in understanding the local context. Ian McHarg’s Overlay analysis was adopted in this study to correlate the data by using the macro and micro analyses in order to understand the preferences and influences within the social and cultural contexts.
