D3-instantons, Mock Theta Series and Twistors
The D-instanton corrected hypermultiplet moduli space of type II string
theory compactified on a Calabi-Yau threefold is known in the type IIA picture
to be determined in terms of the generalized Donaldson-Thomas invariants,
through a twistorial construction. At the same time, in the mirror type IIB
picture, and in the limit where only D3-D1-D(-1)-instanton corrections are
retained, it should carry an isometric action of the S-duality group SL(2,Z).
We prove that this is the case in the one-instanton approximation, by
constructing a holomorphic action of SL(2,Z) on the linearized twistor space.
Using the modular invariance of the D4-D2-D0 black hole partition function, we
show that the standard Darboux coordinates in twistor space have modular
anomalies controlled by period integrals of a Siegel-Narain theta series, which
can be canceled by a contact transformation generated by a holomorphic mock

Quality of life among Latina breast cancer patients: a systematic review of the literature
Introduction
The Latino population is the most rapidly growing ethnic minority in the United States and Latinas have higher rates of advanced breast cancer and more rigorous treatments than White women. However, the literature lacks reviews on quality of life among this population of breast cancer patients.
Methods
A systematic review of the breast cancer quality of life (QOL) literature was conducted among studies that provided a comparison of mental, physical, social, or sexual QOL between Latinas and other racial/ethnic groups. Of the 375 studies reviewed, 20 quantitative studies and two qualitative studies met criteria for inclusion.
Results
Latinas were more likely to report poor mental, physical, and social QOL, relative to non-Latinas. Only four studies assessed sexual QOL, making it difficult to draw any conclusions. Of these four QOL domains, the largest disparity was found in the area of mental health in which Latinas reported poorer QOL compared to non-Latina Whites and Blacks.
Discussion/conclusions
Most quantitative studies revealed either that Latinas consistently evidenced significantly lower QOL than non-Latinas on all measures (6 studies) or reported mixed findings in which Latinas generally demonstrated significantly worse QOL on most, but not all, measures (12 studies) included in the study. Explanatory mechanisms including socio-demographic, treatment-related, and culturally-relevant factors are discussed. Implications for research design, measurement, and clinical work are also included.
Implications for cancer survivors
Although not entirely consistent, data suggest that Latina breast cancer survivors on average experience worse QOL than non-Latina Whites.

Charge density wave behavior and order-disorder in the antiferromagnetic metallic series Eu(Ga1-x Alx)4
The solid solution Eu(Ga1-xAlx)4 was grown in single crystal form to reveal a rich variety of crystallographic, magnetic, and electronic properties that differ from the isostructural end compounds EuGa4 and EuAl4, despite the similar covalent radii and electronic configurations of Ga and Al. Here we report the onset of magnetic spin reorientation and metamagnetic transitions for x=0-1 evidenced by magnetization and temperature-dependent specific heat measurements. TN changes nonmonotonously with x, and it reaches a maximum around 20 K for x=0.50, where the a lattice parameter also shows an extreme (minimum) value. Anomalies in the temperature-dependent resistivity consistent with charge density wave behavior exist only for x=0.50 and 1. Density functional theory calculations show increased polarization between the Ga-Al covalent bonds in the x=0.50 structure compared to the end compounds, such that crystallographic order and chemical pressure are proposed as the causes of the charge density wave behavior
