    Internet services, such as Web browsing, email and discussion fora are central to many in their work, study and leisure. There is every expectation that use of Internet services, (and related technologies), will expand. The growing emphasis on access to communication and information exchange between individuals and societies, across the globe, presents opportunities and barriers to those with communication disabilities and particularly for people who use graphic symbol based augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.     The following report describes the results of evaluation activities carried out during the development phase of the simulated web browser developed by the WWAAC project. The evaluations were conducted over a period of 6 months from April 2002 and consisted of three components: β€’ Expert Evaluations β€’ Preliminary User Evaluations β€’ User Workshops The methodology for the evaluations can be found in Nicolle, Poulson, and Clarke (Sept. 2001 and updated Nov. 2002), which includes Internal Deliverable i3 – Simulation Study Setup. However, it must be noted that a certain amount of flexibility was needed in the use of evaluation methods and techniques and this methodology had to adapted to the diverse situations and characteristics of the users
