These appear to be the first non-regular examples of Sasakian-Einstein metrics on simply connected rational homology spheres. Connections 2040 Plan for Greater Philadelphia is the Long-Range Plan for the Greater Philadelphia region. It assesses regional trends and forecasts and sets forth a vision for the future. The Plan is organized around four core principle to achieve the vision: Manage Growth and Protect the Environment, Create Livable Communities, Build the Economy, and Establish a Modern Multimodal Transportation System. The Plan includes goals and strategies under each of the four core principles. It also identifies a set of investments in the region's transportation system that are needed to preserve and maintain the existing system, as well as other critical improvements that make the system operate more efficiently and expand capacity. Due to declining funding revenues, only a portion of these investments can be afforded. The Plan prioritizes investments, based on quantitative analysis, and presents an overview of alternatives to address the funding shortfall

The Plan establishes goals and identifies strategies to achieve its core principles: managing growth and protecting natural resources, creating livable communities, building the economy, and establishing a modern, multimodal transportation system. The Plan identifies a set of transportation investments that are needed to preserve and maintain the existing system, as well as other critical improvements that make the system operate more efficiently and expand capacity. The passage of Act 89 in November 2013 will provide additional funding for transportation investments in the Pennsylvania portion of the DVRPC region. The Plan is being amended to include additional projects in the Pennsylvania subregion

Connections: The Regional Plan for a Sustainable Future

The Connections Plan sets regional policy and agenda. It reviews long-term and recent development trends and considers future land use scenarios, along with extensive public input, as the basis for creating a regional vision to guide future development in the nine-county DVRPC region. The Plan is organized around four key Plan principles: Create Livable Communities; Manage Growth and Protect Resources; Build an Energy-Efficient Economy; and Establish a Modern, Multimodal Transportation System. The Plan includes a 26-year needs assessment for maintaining existing transportation infrastructure with limited new capacity expansion. Reasonably expected available revenue is used to constrain the identified need in the financial plan, including a list of major regional projects. To fully achieve the vision beyond the constrained Plan, the region needs to consider alternatives, such as local funding options or public-private partnerships
