Informal Learning: Report of a Search Conference held in July 2000
The Learning from Experience Trust, in partnership with NIACE, received funding from the Lifelong Learning Foundation to explore informal learning. We convened a search conference that brought together researchers, practitioners & policy people involved with informal learning in different domains (work, community, family & independent learning). The goal was to take stock of what we know about informal learning, its policy implications, & what needed to be done. The Report makes several recommendations for further action & policy development
