Analisis Keterampilan Komunikasi dalam Penyusunan Laporan Praktikum Termokimia pada Siswa Kelas XI IPA
Communication skill through writing in experiments reports is one of life skills who students need to possess. The purpose of this research was to analyze communication skills and the constrains faced by Eleven Grade of Science Students at SMA 3 Pontianak in preparing of thermochemical experiment report. The method of this research was descriptive using observation sheet and guide interview as instruments. Result analysis showed that students had a very good category in writing title and purpose, tools and materials, work procedures and making the table observation; good category in formulating the problems; well enough categories in writing basic theory, making the discussion and conclusion and also providing suggestion. Overall communication skills which Eleven Grade of Science Students at SMA 3 Pontianak acquired in preparation of thermochemical experiment reports included in good category. The constraints faced by students due unsistematically formated by teacher in preparing of experiments reports. We recommended, therefore teachers can develop communication skills of their students to improve learning outcomes
Peningkatan Aktivitas Dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Melalui Model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (Circ)
This classroom action research aims to improve the activity and students learning result in reduction and oxidation reaction through cooperative model of CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition). There were 29 students of ten grade MAN Kubu Raya involved in study that did in three cycles of learning. Each learning cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data from each cycle were collected through test, observation and interview. The result of action showed that total activity percentage of students increased and reached the success indicator with 25% students were active in three cycles. Total activity of students percentage in first, second and third cycle followed by 41.67%, 48.27% and 62%. The average percentage of students learning also increased, but reached the indicator which was 50% students were success in the third cycle. The average percentage in first, second and third cycle followed by 45.83%, 48.27% and 65.51%
Pemberian Direct Corrective Feedbackpada Pekerjaan Rumah (Pr) dalam Materi Larutan Penyangga di SMA
This research aims to determine differences learning result between students who were given direct corrective feedback with students who were given indirect corrective feedback on homework and determine direct corrective feedbacks effect on homework againts learning result in buffer learning grade XI SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap. The form research that used was quasi-experimental with research design was "Nonequivalent Control Group Design". 22 students of class XI IPA 2 and 25 students of class XI IPA 3 participated in this research. Data analysis used U-Mann Whitney test showed that there were differences learning result between students who were given direct corrective feedback with students who were given indirect corrective feedback on homework. Based on value of effect size that was 2.17 with category was very high, direct corrective feedback gave 48.5% effect on increased student learning result
Pengaruh Model Poe Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa SMA Pada Materi Koloid
The aims of this research were to determine: 1) the differences of learning outcomes between students who were taught using POE (predict-observe-explain) model and conventional learning colloidal subject, 2) the effect of POE (predict-observe-explain) model toward student learning outcomes colloidal subject. The from of research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Classes of XI MIA 3 as experiment and MIA 1 as control were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Achievement test and interview was used to collect data. According to data analysis, average score of experiment and control classes were 74.36 and 67.36 respectively. According to U-Mann Withney test, the value of student of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) was 0.023 which meant that there was a difference in learning outcome between the control class and experimental class colloidal subject. The result of effect size was 0.39 which meant POE (predict-observe-explain) model had of 18.79% influenced toward student learning outcomes improvement
Pengaruh Pq4r Berbantuan Komik terhadap Minat Baca dan Hasil Belajar Minyak Bumi pada Siswa SMA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar dan minat baca serta besarnya pengaruh penggunaan metode PQ4R (Preview,Question,Read, Recite, Reflect dan Review) berbantuan komik terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak pada materi minyak bumi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X B sebagai kelas kontrol. Alat pengumpul data adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket minat baca. Berdasarkan hasil olahan data, rata-rata nilai skor posttest kelas kontrol yaitu 44,28 dan rata-rata nilai skor posttest kelas eksperimen yaitu 56,06. Dengan menggunakan Uji T, diperoleh Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,029 < 0,05 (kurang dari 0,05) untuk tes hasil belajar dan diperoleh Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 (kurang dari 0,05) sehingga Ho ditolak, menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan minat baca siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada materi minyak bumi. Hasil dari perhitungan Effect Size (ES) diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,57 yang menunjukkan penggunaan metode PQ4R memberikan pengaruh sebesar 21,57% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : PQ4R, minyak bumi, hasil belajar, minat baca Abstrack : This study aims to determine the difference of learning outcomes and reading interest and the effect of using PQ4R methods with media comics toward learning outcomes in ten grade of students SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak on petroleum materials. Research was used quasi-experimental with the study Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples of this research were students of ten grade A as experimental class and ten grade B as control class. Data collectors were the achievement test and questionnaire reading interest. Based on the results of data processing, the average score of posttest control class is 44.28, and the average score of posttest experimental classes, was namely 56.06. By using the T test, obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0.029 < 0,05 (less than 0.05) to test learning outcomes and obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 (less than 0.05) as the result Ho refused, it shows there were differences in learning outcomes and students reading interest between the experimental class and control class on petroleum materials. The calculation result of Effect Size (ES) obtained a value was 0.57 that showed the using of PQ4R methods influenced by 21.57% toward increasing student learning outcomes
Pengaruh Discovery Learning terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas XI IPA
This study was aimed to determine the effect of discovery learning model in influencing science process skills and learning motivation of class XI IPA MA Ushuluddin Singkawang. Pre-Experimental Design through One-Group Pretest Posttest Design was used as research method. The data were collected using test and questionnaire. From the results of hypothesis test (t-test) obtained tamounted to 15.02 with significance level (α) = 5% was obtained ttabel 1.703. Since tamounted 15.02 > ttabel 1.703, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there was a difference science process skills before and after using of discovery learning model. Based on the determination of effect size, discovery learning model influenced on students\u27 science process skills of 49.74%.
