The main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship of coping strategies and mental health with mediation of cognitive flexibility. This study was seeking to find a structural model to investigate which one of coping strategies as predictor variables has relation with mental health as dependent variable with the mediation of cognitive flexibility. For this purpose, a sample of 262 boys and girls students of Got Talent schools of Abadan and Khorramshahr were randomly selected. This study was descriptive - correlational. The results of the correlation matrix among data showed a positive and direct relationship between problem-oriented coping strategy and mental health (r=0.38). The correlation between excitement-oriented coping strategy and mental health was negative and significant (r=-0.29) and a significant and positive correlation existed between the cognitive flexibility and mental health (r=0.39)

Purpose – Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a useful system in today’s organizations that can lead to numerous benefits for them. The employees and managers are the most important stakeholders of this system that can both affect it and be affected by it. This paper aims to study the empowerment benefits resulted from ERP implementation in industrial companies. Design/methodology/approach – This paper investigated the ERP benefits through survey by defining 31 empowering benefits for this enterprise system based on reviewing the literature and classifying them into four groups of empowering benefits including informative, communicative, growth and learning and strategic benefits. Statistical population of the study is the core specialist and managers of these corporations. Findings – The results indicated that the communicative, strategic and informative empowering benefits are as important common advantages. Furthermore, the results of computing the regression coefficient represent that the empowering benefits of strategic, informative, communicative and growth and learning had the maximum impact on the firms’ empowering benefits from ERP implementation. Originality/value – The findings of this study provide a general overview of what to expect from ERP with respect to empowerment and based on it, features, modules and innovations that should be present for realizing these expectations can be determined

Hidden scale invariance in the Gay-Berne model. II. Smectic B phase

This paper complements a previous study of the isotropic and nematic phases of the Gay-Berne liquid-crystal model [Mehri et al., Phys. Rev. E 105, 064703 (2022)] with a study of its smectic B phase found at high density and low temperatures. We find also in this phase strong correlations between the virial and potential-energy thermal fluctuations, reflecting hidden scale invariance and implying the existence of isomorphs. The predicted approximate isomorph invariance of the physics is confirmed by simulations of the standard and orientational radial distribution functions, the mean-square displacement as a function of time, as well as the force, torque, velocity, angular velocity, and orientational time-autocorrelation functions. The regions of the Gay-Berne model that are relevant for liquid-crystal experiments can thus fully be simplified via the isomorph theory

A Framework for Fine-Grained Synchronization of Dependent GPU Kernels

Machine Learning (ML) models contain highly-parallel computations, such as, Matrix Multiplication, Convolutions, Dropout, etc. These computations are commonly executed on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), by dividing the computation in independent processing blocks, known as tiles. Since the number of tiles are usually higher than the execution units of a GPU, tiles are executed on all execution units in waves. However, the tiles executed in the last wave can under-utilize the execution units because tiles are not always a multiple of execution units. This under-utilization can be reduced by executing multiple independent kernels concurrently on a GPU, but is not currently possible for dependent kernels. In this paper, we present cuSync, a framework to write custom fine-grained synchronization policies for dependent kernels to improve GPU utilization. cuSync synchronizes tiles instead of kernels, which allows executing tiles of multiple dependent kernels. Using cuSync we expressed several synchronization policies in a few lines of code and reduced the inference times of GPT-3 and ResNet-38 by up to 1.19x and 1.16x respectively
