Tuneable quantum interference in a 3D integrated circuit
Integrated photonics promises solutions to questions of stability,
complexity, and size in quantum optics. Advances in tunable and non-planar
integrated platforms, such laser-inscribed photonics, continue to bring the
realisation of quantum advantages in computation and metrology ever closer,
perhaps most easily seen in multi-path interferometry. Here we demonstrate
control of two-photon interference in a chip-scale 3D multi-path
interferometer, showing a reduced periodicity and enhanced visibility compared
to single photon measurements. Observed non-classical visibilities are widely
tunable, and explained well by theoretical predictions based on classical
measurements. With these predictions we extract a Fisher information
approaching a theoretical maximum, demonstrating the capability of the device
for quantum enhanced phase measurements.Comment: 11 pages, 24 figure

El tema elegido para elaborar el seminario de graduación, ha sido planeación financiera, el motivo de esto es el interés en enfocar las carreras de los seminaristas en la rama de las finanzas, ya que es la dirección que la universidad le da a la carrera y es el crecimiento laboral y profesional que se desea alcanzar.
El objetivo general ha sido enfocado en el análisis de planeación financiera a las empresas del sector comercial, así como también las probabilidades de cumplimiento dentro de las mismas, esto por motivo de ser base fundamental de las finanzas y demandado estrictamente por inversionistas que exigen la correcta administración, control y planeación de su patrimonio.
Se analizaron los tres principales sectores: comercial, de servicio y de transformación, definiendo cada uno, la importancia de la planeación financiera, para lograr las metas y objetivos.
Se aplicara los procedimientos de planeación organización y dirección financiera a la empresa encontrados en la teoría, con el fin de encontrar el más óptimo para las empresas del sector del mercado seleccionado.
Es importante mencionar dese ahora que no existe métodos de análisis estándar para toda las empresas de un mismo mercado, si no que veremos dentro de la investigación, que cada empresa necesita encontrar su combinación adecuada para la ejecución de sus objetivos
A simplified model for the estimation of life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions of enhanced geothermal systems
International audienceBackground: The development of 'enhanced geothermal systems' (EGS), designed to extract energy from deep low-enthalpy reservoirs, is opening new scenarios of growth for the whole geothermal sector. A relevant tool to estimate the environmental performances of such emerging renewable energy (RE) technology is Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). However, the application of this cradle-to-grave approach is complex and time-consuming. Moreover, LCA results available for EGS case studies cover a fairly high variability range. Methods: A new type of LCA-based approach, called simplified model, is developed based on the analysis of environmental performance variability of energy pathways. Such methodology has been applied to produce a reduced parameterized model, designed to estimate life-cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of EGS power plants applicable to a large sample of configurations
Hybrid photonic circuit for multiplexed heralded single photons
A key resource for quantum optics experiments is an on-demand source of
single and multiple photon states at telecommunication wavelengths. This letter
presents a heralded single photon source based on a hybrid technology approach,
combining high efficiency periodically poled lithium niobate waveguides,
low-loss laser inscribed circuits, and fast (>1 MHz) fibre coupled
electro-optic switches. Hybrid interfacing different platforms is a promising
route to exploiting the advantages of existing technology and has permitted the
demonstration of the multiplexing of four identical sources of single photons
to one output. Since this is an integrated technology, it provides scalability
and can immediately leverage any improvements in transmission, detection and

On-chip generation of heralded photon-number states
Beyond the use of genuine monolithic integrated optical platforms, we report
here a hybrid strategy enabling on-chip generation of configurable heralded
two-photon states. More specifically, we combine two different fabrication
techniques, \textit{i.e.}, non-linear waveguides on lithium niobate for
efficient photon-pair generation and femtosecond-laser-direct-written
waveguides on glass for photon manipulation. Through real-time device
manipulation capabilities, a variety of path-coded heralded two-photon states
can be produced, ranging from product to entangled states. Those states are
engineered with high levels of purity, assessed by fidelities of 99.58\%
and 95.08\%, respectively, obtained via quantum interferometric
measurements. Our strategy therefore stands as a milestone for further
exploiting entanglement-based protocols, relying on engineered quantum states,
and enabled by scalable and compatible photonic circuits

Wellness is a broad term that emphasizes a person’s current state of mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and professional wellness. Professional counseling was built upon the foundations of wellness and practitioner self-care. While counseling programs understand the importance of wellness and counseling ethics emphasize the necessity of professional wellness, students frequently do not feel prepared or trained enough in wellness dimensions. This manuscript provides a rationale for a program wellness model and outlines a proposed series of interventions aimed at increasing students’ understanding, ability to self-assess, and strategies related to self-care and wellness
