An Effective Teaching Method at Studies Teaching: Dramatization

Sosyal bilgiler dersinde öğrencilerin, çeşitli kaynaklardan elde ettikleri bilgileri özümsemeleri ve bu bilgilerden sonuç çıkarmaları esastır. Sosyal bilgiler dersinin bu özelliğinden dolayı, bu dersin öğretiminde, salt bilgiyi veren yöntemlerden daha ziyade bilgiyi beceriye dönüştürücü ve bilgiyi benimsetici öğretim yöntemlerinin kullanılması gereklidir. Kuşkusuz bu yöntemlerden biri de dramatizasyondur. Dramatizasyon, sosyal bilgiler dersinin amaçlarını yerine getirebilmesi için öğrenciyi aktif, öğrenmeyi kalıcı kılan, öğrencilerin ilgisini çeken ve zevkli bir öğrenme ortamı oluşmasına yardım eden etkili bir öğretim yoludur. Bu çalışmada, dramatizasyon yöntemi bütün yönleriyle ele alınarak, sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde kullanılmasının önemi ve etkileri ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca sosyal bilgiler dersinde kullanılabilecek bazı drama örnekleri de sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.It is main that students assimilate konowledge they obtain from different resources and draw a conclusion from this knowledge at socal studies lessons. Because of this property of social studies lessons, it is necessary to use the method transforming knowledge to ability and selling students on konowledge rather than the method giving pure knowledge. Definietly, one of this method is dramatization. Dramatization is an effective way of teaching that make student active and learning permanent, arouse students’ interest and supply an enjoyable learning atmosphere to assume aim of social studies lessons. In this study, dramatization method has been looked over within all properties, the importance and effect of using this method at social studies learning has been pointed out. The Importance of Concept Maps in Geography Education

Bu çalışmanın amacı, coğrafya eğitiminde kavram haritalarının önemini ortaya koyabilmektir. Araştırma, betimsel nitelikte olup, Türkçe literatürdeki araştırmalar doğrultusunda sadece coğrafya eğitiminde kavram ve kavram haritalarının önemini belirtmekle sınırlı tutulmuştur. Coğrafya eğitiminde kullanılabileceği düşünülen kavram haritaları örnekleri ile kavram haritalarının faydaları ve önemi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada; coğrafya derslerinde, kavram haritası kullanılarak öğrenmenin kolaylaşacağı, görsel sunum ön plana çıktığı için ezber yerine anlamlı öğrenme sağlayacağı, kavramlar çizgilerle birbirine bağlanarak, öğrencinin kavramlar arasındaki ilişkileri öğrenmesine yardımcı olacağı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca coğrafi olayların neden ve sonuçlarının kazandırılmasında balık kılçığı, örümcek haritası gibi kavram haritalarının etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir. Araştırmanın sonucunda önerilen örneklerin, coğrafya eğitiminde kavram haritalarının kullanımını güçlendireceği ve bu alandaki önemine dikkat çekeceği düşünülmektedirThe aim of this research is to introduce the importance of concept maps in geography education. This study is descriptive research and, in the way of studies in the Turkish literature, limited with only indicating importance of concept and concept maps in geography education. Samples of concept maps that can be used in geography education tion, benefits and importance of concept maps are aimed to determine. In this research, we made out these conclusions; learning would be easier by using concept maps, because of visual presentation, meaningful learning would be provided, it would help students to understand relations between concepts by linking them with lines. Besides it is considered that fishbone map analysis would be efficial in gaining the cause and effects of geographical events. The studies of example about concept maps in geography are continuing, and it will be continuation of this study. It is considered that suggested examples in the conclusion will reinforce to use concept maps in geography education
