Investigation of Electromagnetic Force in 3P5W Busbar System under Peak Short-circuit Current

    Get PDF
Electromagnetic forces on three-phase five-wire (3P5W) busbar system is investigated under three-phase short-circuits current. The conductor busbar placed in compact galvanized steel enclosure is in the rectangular shape. Transient analysis from Opera-2D is carried out to develop the model of three-phase short-circuits current in the system. The result of the simulation is compared with the calculation result, which is obtained by applying the theories of Biot Savart's law and Laplace equation. Under this analytical approach, the moment of peak short-circuit current is taken into account. The effect upon geometrical arrangement of the conductor and the present of the steel enclosure are considered by the theory of image. The result depict that the electromagnetic force due to the transient short-circuit from simulation is agreed with the calculation

The Effects of Harmonic Components on Transformer Rating

This paper presents the effects cause by non-linear load which containing harmonic components on the rating of power transformer. The usage of non-linear load will simply relates to the increased of transformer temperature. The abnormal heat rise in the transformer will lead to deterioration and increase the potential reduction of its lifetime. Due to the increased of heat, load supplied by the transformer should be reduced or to supply the same load, the power transformer should be changed to a higher rating to sustain the heat rise and these phenomenon known as de-rating. The selection of higher rating transformer is based on load THD where transformer kVA is a function of THD with the assumption that THD, transformers temperature and rating are stay linearity. Autonomous Vehicle Safety through the SIFT Method: A Conceptual Analysis

    No full text
This study aims to provide a conceptual analysis of the dynamic transformations occurring in an autonomous vehicle (AV), placing a specific emphasis on the safety implications for pedestrians and passengers. AV, also known as self-driving automobiles, are positioned as potential disruptors in the contemporary transportation landscape, offering heightened safety and improved traffic efficiency. Despite these promises, the intricate nature of road scenarios and the looming specter of misinformation pose challenges that can compromise the efficacy of AV decision-making. A crucial aspect of the proposed verification process is the incorporation of the stop, investigate the source, find better coverage, trace claims, quotes, and media to the original context (SIFT) method. The SIFT method, originally designed to combat misinformation, emerges as a valuable mechanism for enhancing AV safety by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information influencing autonomous decision-making processes
