    The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the type of information available on website homepages of Brazilian universities and how it is organized. That is, to verify the visibility given to each type of information through the area used in the opening pages of the chosen universities’ websites, to identify the universities' vision of their websites, and also, to relate types of information available and types of organization in its opening pages. For this, the article discusses Information Architecture, the presence of universities on the web and the role of its homepages. The motivation of this research is based on identifying a pattern for the information organized on universities websites, since these aggregate content for different target audiences. The universities selected as research object were the Brazilian top ten in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities in July 2010. Para tanto, teve como objeto as dez primeiras universidades brasileiras no Webometrics Ranking of World Universities de julho de 2010. Foram analisadas as capturas de telas das páginas iniciais e a resposta a três questões abertas feitas aos setores de comunicação das universidades.

    In diesem Beitrag wird die methodische Kombination biografisch-narrativer Interviews mit Familienskulpturen vorgestellt. In Abgrenzung zu Skulpturen, in denen Personen aufgestellt werden, wird hierbei auf ein der systemischen Beratung und Therapie entlehntes Verfahren Bezug genommen, in dem ein Beziehungsgeflecht mit grafischen Mitteln symbolisch dargestellt wird. Wie das von der interviewten Person angefertigte Bild ihres Familiensystems im Rahmen rekonstruktiver Forschung eingesetzt und ausgewertet werden kann, wird in diesem Artikel methodologisch und praxisbezogen diskutiert und mit zwei Fallbeispielen illustriert. Es wird dabei deutlich, dass diese Methode die rekonstruktive Biografie- und Familienforschung um einen bildhaften Zugang zu Qualität und Struktur innerfamilialer Beziehungen bereichert und ein Verstehen und Erklären eines Familiensystems und dem sich hierin reproduzierendem Wissen zulässt.This paper presents the methodical combination of biographical-narrative interviews with family sculptures. In contrast to sculptures, in which people are placed, family sculpting means in this case a systemic counselling and therapy technique in which relationships are symbolically represented with graphical elements. This article discusses methodologically and practically how the figure of a family system, made by the interviewed person, can be used and analyzed in reconstructive family and biographical research in what form these method combination can take place. This is illustrated with two case studies and it reveals that this method enriches the reconstructive biographical and family research with a pictorial approach to quality and structure of intrafamilial relations and helps understanding and explaining family systems

    Desenvolvimento e caracterização de anfissoma com derivado de cloroacetamida para tratamento antifúngico

    As infecções fúngicas são um problema crescente para a saúde pública, pois estão relacionadas diretamente com aumento da incidência das taxas de morbidade e mortalidade. O diagnóstico para essas infecções nem sempre se apresenta de forma confiável e adequada, necessitando de tratamento antifúngico que, gradativamente, demonstra-se ineficiente. Os antifúngicos disponíveis possuem diversos relatos de toxicidade ao paciente, além disso, a seleção de isolados fúngicos resistentes vem aumentando consideravelmente. Sendo assim, é necessária a ampliação de opções terapêuticas para tratamento antifúngico adequado e mais eficaz. Os derivados de cloroacetamidas juntamente com a nanotecnologia demonstram ser uma alternativa promissora. Por essa razão, o objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver uma formulação nanotecnológica, denominado anfissomas, contendo um derivado de cloroacetamida (CBr), com intuito de avaliar o perfil antifúngico deste sistema e propor uma alternativa de tratamento contra candidíases e dermatofitoses. Os anfissomas desenvolvidos apresentaram tamanho e distribuição, pH, teor e taxa de incorporação adequados. Os valores das concentrações inibitórias mínimas (CIM’s) apresentam-se na faixa de 6,25 a 25,00 μg/mL para os anfissomas, contendo CBr, frente às cepas dermatofíticas. Observou-se prevalente diminuição da CIM quando o composto foi incorporado à nanoformulação, indicando que a nanotecnologia pode ser uma alternativa promissora para tratamento de infecções fúngicas.Fungal infections are a growing problem for public health because they are related to the increase of morbidity and mortality. The diagnosis of these infections is not always trustworthy and accurate and its antifungal treatment gradually shows to be inefficient. Several toxicity cases have been associated with antifungal treatment and antifungal drug resistance have been increasing over the years. Therefore, it is necessary to broaden the therapeutic options aiming at an adequate and efficient antifungal treatment. Chloroacetamide derivatives along with nanotechnology seems to be a promising option. Thus, the aim of this study was to develop nanotechnology formulation, entitled anfisomes, loaded with a chloroacetamide derivative (CBr) and to evaluate the antifungal profile of this nanosystem and offer a new option for the treatment of candidiasis and dermatophytosis. The developed amphisome presented particle size and size distribution within the nanoscale, pH suitable for skin application and high drug content and incorporation rate. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) showed ranged of 6,25 to 25,00 μg/mL for the drug-loaded anfisomes, for the dermatophytic strains there was a decrease of the MICs when the drug was loaded into the nanosystem. It was observed the prevalence of MIC reduction when the CBr compound was incorporated into the nanoformulation, indicating that nanotechnology could be a promising option for antifungal treatment

    O modelo de otimização proposto almeja minimizar o custo de operação das usinas térmicas complementares às hidrelétricas do Sistema Integrado de Energia Elétrica da República do Panamá. Ele está formado pela combinação de um modelo estocástico com um modelo de decisão. O modelo de decisão está formulado com programação dinâmica discreta, onde os estágios são as semanas, a variável de estado é a energia armazenada no Lago Bayano e a variável de decisão e nal da hidrelétrica deste lago. A geraçao sem a método desenvolvido demonstrou suas vantagens sobre os tradicionais implicitamente estocásticos, por ser operado em tempo real, permitindo uma constante atualização da configuração do sistema, e não exigir grande esforço computacional para simular períodos que iniciam com situações extremas de secas ou enchentes. It consists of the combination of a stochastic model with a decision model. The decision model was formulated by discrete dynamic programming in which the stages are weeks, the state variable is energy stored in Lago Bayano, and the decision variable is the weekly hidropower generation from this lake. The method whi eh was developed présented advantages as compared to the traditional implicity stochastic ones, since it can be operated in real time and thus allows constant updating for the system configuration and does not require much computing to simulate periods which begin in extreme drought or flood situations
