RISTIYANTI M. MARWOTO. 1986. The egg development on .Amerianna carinata (H. Adams). Berita Biologi 3(4): 178 - 180. An attempt was made to observe the egg development on 14 of A. carinata snails collected from a pond near the palace at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. It was found that after being incubated for 2-4 days, many of the snails laid 7 capsules, each capsule containing 3 to 27 eggs. The diameter of the capsule was between 4-7 mm, while the egg was about 0,3 mm. The embryos completed their development within 7 days and it was then followed by the egg batched in 1 to 2 days

RISTIYANTI M.MARWOTO. 1987.Some fresh water mussels family L'nionidae and gastropods from Rengas and Sungkai Rivers in Jambi province. Berita Biologi 3(7): 306 -309.Four species of unionids were found in Rengas river; of these Pseudodon vondenbuschianus,Contradens ascia dimotus,Ctenodesma sp.and Rectidens gracilis, while Physunio superbus and C. ascia dimotus were found in Sungkai river. The density of p.superbus was higher than the other species (7 ind/0.09 m ),it seems was affected by the organic detritus and the differences of the substratum sediment. Some of P.superbus were mature with many eggs and glochidia larvae inside the outer gills. The length of this mature mussels is 28 - 56 mm, while the average is 52 mm.The difficulties in finding young Union idae may be due to their size is relatively small it was or caused by the specific biology of these animals. The occurance of some gastropods in Rengas and Sungkai river were also discussed

Faunistic study on the malacofauna of Simeulue Island was carried out in 2017 after 104 years from the last collection in 1913. Three locations with 13 stations were observed. 20 families and 50 species of aquatic and terrestrial molluscs were identified. The occurrences of four local endemic species were still found and 19 new distributional records were added to the previous list. However, five previously listed species were not found in the present study. Through the present study, the accumulative number of malacofauna from Simeulue Island will be around 54 species. 19 species were reported for the first time, including three introduced species and one new records for Indonesia. Four local endemic species were still found there after 104 years gone by

The golden apple snail Pomacea is an invasive species not only in Indonesia but mostly in Southeast Asia. The snail caused serious damaged on more than thousands hectares of rice-fields. The study was based on the specimens deposited at the Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense (MZB)aimed to evaluate the occurrence of Pomacea and its distribution in Indonesia.Based on the shell characters there are four species recognized which are P. canaliculata, P.insularum, P. scalaris, P.paludosa that found from many places, and noted that P. canaliculata has wider distribution from Sumatra to Papua. The description of each species was presented at this paper as well as the map of the occurrence of Pomacea in Indonesia
