Light Soure with Wireless Control

Cílem této práce je navrhnout a implementovat zdroj světla bezdrátově ovládaný libovolným zařízením skrze Wi-Fi síť. Práce popisuje výběr komponent a jejich zapojení. Dále se věnuje knihovně pro Wi-Fi modul, způsobu komunikace po síti a návrhu uživatelského rozhraní. Výstupem práce je funkční prototyp umístěný na desce plošných spojů.The aim of this work is to design and implement a lighting which can be controlled wirelessy by any user device with Wi-Fi. The bachelor thesis describes the selection of components and their connection. Also describes a library for a Wi-Fi module, a way how to communicate over the network and design a user interface. The result of this thesis is a functional prototype placed on the printed circuit board.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem alternativní netypické konstrukce sloupového jeřábu včetně důležitých pevnostních výpočtů dle zadaných parametrů: délka vyložení ramene 4000 mm, výška zdvihu 8500 mm, nosnost 2000 kg. Součástí práce je vypracování technické zprávy s rozborem konstrukce, výběrem vhodného kladkostroje s důležitými výpočty. Práce se rovněž skládá z konstrukčního výkresu sestavy sloupového jeřábu dle zadaných parametrů a detailního výkresu sloupu.This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an alternative atypical construction of a column crane including important strength calculations according to specified parameters: arm extension length 4000 mm, lift height 8500 mm, load capacity 2000 kg. Part of this work is also elaboration of technical report with analysis of construction, selection of suitable hoist with important calculations. Further draw a construction drawing of the column crane assembly according to the entered parameters and a detailed drawing of the column.

An Evaluation of the City of Brooklyn Park's Community Engagement Initiative

Report and poster completed by student enrolled in PUBH 7094: Culminating Experience: Community Health Promotion, in spring 2017, in partial fulfillment of the program requirements for the master of public health degree. Advisor: Dr. Keith Horvath.This project was completed as part of the 2016-2017 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with the City of Brooklyn Park. In 2009, Brooklyn Park began a five-year Community Engagement Initiative. The initiative’s goal was to facilitate greater levels of engagement between members of the community and city staff, and to instill a feeling of local pride in Brooklyn Park residents. To assess the program’s success, Aldona Martinka evaluated the program as part of her Culminating Experience for the master of public health degree in the Community Health Promotion program at the School of Public Health. Martinka found that the initiative increased communication among members of the community, and between community members and City staff. The majority of residents surveyed reported feeling proud to live in Brooklyn Park (91%), felt it to be a thriving community (92%), and felt that they have the opportunity to succeed (91%). Results were used to make recommendations on next steps. The final report and poster are available.This project was supported by the Resilient Communities Project (RCP), a program at the University of Minnesota whose mission is to connect communities in Minnesota with the U of MN faculty and students to advance local sustainability and resilience through collaborative, course-based projects.
