Cone Catch Colour Testing Photos
Photographs of colour samples (colour pastels) of known reflectance used to compare spectrometer and camera cone-catch estimates between cameras and spectrometer. .mspec files are included for compatibility with the image analysis toolbox
Image Analysis Toolbox user guide
This is the original user guide that may become obsolete as the toolbox is improved. Please see www.jolyon.co.uk or www.sensoryecology.com for the latest version
Linearisation Data
Measurements of grey standards taken by cameras and spectroradiometers to determine how linear the camera response is
Additional file 1: Figure S1. of Shape, colour plasticity, and habitat use indicate morph-specific camouflage strategies in a marine shrimp
Images extracted from video footage showing the experimental set up used in habitat fidelity and mobility trials (see details in the main text). Homogeneous (H) and striped translucent (ST) morphs of the shrimp Hippolyte obliquimanus were more easily identified in dorsal view, when thin longitudinal stripes of ST shrimps stood clearly out from the bottom of aquaria, contrasting to the solid coloration typical of H shrimp. A lateral view of an ST individual (as the lowermost shrimp in the lower image), showing translucent areas over the abdomen and carapace, could however suffice for morph identification. (PDF 489 kb
Additional file 1: Table S1. of Quantifying camouflage: how to predict detectability from appearance
Model terms in the simplified model of bandpass-based descriptive statistics. Prey X and Y screen coordinates are added with polynomial fits and an interaction. (DOC 140 kb
