Good morning. I am Stephanie Marshall. Director of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and it is indeed a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Academy and the beginning of another important venture in our institution\u27s brief history. We are here this morning not only to announce a significant donation of computers by Apple Corporation to the Academy. but also to recognize that this donation ls evidence of their- commitment to the Academy and its mission; it ls also a signal to other corporations and our legislators of the confidence that Apple Corporation has in the Academy and the positive impact we will have in improving math and science education in Illinois

Six Month Review

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) was established by the Illinois legislature in 1985. It ls a three year residential program serving students gifted in mathematics and science. The Academy admits students who have completed the academic equivalent of the ninth grade and offers a program of secondary and post-secondary course work
