MOTIVASI SISWA DAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI DALAM BELAJAR BAHASA TATA BAHASA INGGRIS PADA KELAS VIII SMP BP AL-MUNAWAROH MERAUKE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi siswa dalam belajar tata bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP BP AL-Munawaroh pada bulan Januari 2018. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa SMP BP Al Munawaroh. Sampel penelitian adalah 24 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data Penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan tes dan kuesioner. Data dari tes dan kuesioner dianalisis secara kualitatif. Pengolahan data yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner menggunakan rumus persentase dan kemudian data dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor internal dengan skor sebesar 214 dengan persentase sebesar 93,74% dan siswa kelas delapan dalam motivasi belajar tata bahasa Inggris masih rendah kata kunci: motivasi siswa, tata bahasa, bahasa Inggri

USED OF PERSON DEIXIS IN MARIND LANGUAGE (A STUDY OF MARIND LANGUAGE IN MERAUKE PAPUA)

This study aims to describe the used deixis in Marind language. This research was done in Merauke. The population of the research was Marind people in Merauke, and the samples were 30 people selected by purposive sampling. The procedures of data were collected by using observation, interview, taking note and recording. The result of the analysis that in Marind language contains several types of deixis, including (1) personal deixis; (2) place deixis; (3) time deixis; (4) discourse deixis; and (5) social deixis. The Used of deixis in Marind language are determined by first singular person: Nok, Nok (object), Nahan and the first plural person: Yogh, Yahan, Yogha and third singular person: Eghel,/Eghul, Upe/Epe and Anupend/Anupendka

An Analysis Of Feminism In “Colette” Movie Script By Wash Westmoreland

This research examines feminism as fought by women. Feminism is a movement that fights for equality between men and women. In this case, women want equal rights and opportunities in every aspect that men have. This research focuses on the types of feminism and women’s rights that fought by women in France in the 18th century. This research is a qualitative research and the method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. In addition, the theories used in this research have two theories. The first theory was the theory of feminism proposed by Rosemarie Tong to analyze the types of feminism found in Colette movie script. The second theory is the theory of women’s rights proposed by Sophie Mousset to analyze the rights of women fought by the main character in the Colette movie. The results of this research indicate that there are several types of feminism experienced by the main character. There are five types of feminism, they are Liberal feminism, Radical feminism, Anarchist feminism, Marxist feminism and Socialist Feminism. Moreover, there are women’s rights that are found in this movie. There are four women’s rights, they are Right to work, Freedom from slavery, Right to own property, and Right to own literary and artistic production

The implementation of community service activities is aimed at students of the YPK Onggaya Elementary School in the Naukenjerai District of Merauke so that students can understand and know English as a foreign language as an effort to increase students' interest, motivation, willingness and interest in learning English in the field of education. ANALISIS TOKOH DALAM NOVEL LIGHTNING KARYA DANIELLE STEEL

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tokoh-tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam novel Lightning karya Danielle Steel berdasarkan latar belakang sosial sebagaimana yang terdapat dalam novel ini. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan intrinsink, dan teknik deskriptif dengan memberikan deskripsi mengenai watak para tokoh, sifat, sikap dan tindakan. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari teks novelnya  dengan membaca buku-buku, dan bahan-bahan bacaan lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data ini berupa kajian pustaka dengan cara mengumpulkan data yang berhubungan dengan materi penulisan dalam novel ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Alexandra Parker sebagai tokoh yang memegang peranan penting dalam novel ini. Ia digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang mengidap penyakit kanker payudara dan tidak mendapat perhatian khusus dari suaminya. Samuel Parker adalah suami Alexandra, Sam trauma mengenai penyakit itu, disebabkan trauma masa lalu yang dialami oleh ibunya sewaktu masih kecil. Dia berusaha untuk menghindari Alex dengan menjalani hubungan dengan rekan kerjanya agar dia bisa melupakan pikiran, perasaan, dan kengeriannya terhadap penyakit itu. Novel Lightning mempunyai arti kilat menyambar yang menceritakan kehidupan sebuah rumah tangga yang tiba-tiba dikejutkan oleh sebuah berita yang menyatakan bahwa Alex mengidap penyakit kanker payudara

Nilai-Nilai Sosial dalam Ulelean Parena Toraya (Cerita Rakyat Toraja) Kisah Polopadang Karya Junus Bunga’ Lebang: Tinjauan Sosiologi Sastra

Sebagian besar masyarakat Toraja terutama pada anak-anak muda tidak mengetahui akan cerita rakyat Toraja serta nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam cerita tersebut. Hal ini disebabkan karena dengan adanya perkembangan zaman sehingga anak-anak muda tidak lagi menghiraukan akan cerita-cerita rakyat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan nilai-nilai sosial dalam cerita Ulelean Parena Toraya (Cerita Rakyat Toraja). Penelitian ini menggunakan tinjauan sosiologi sastra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dikelola dengan teknik simak, baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 1) tahap deskripsi, 2) Tahap klasifikasi, 3) Tahap interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat beberapa nilai-nilai sosial dalam cerita rakyat Toraja kisah Polopadang, antara lain 1) bekerja keras, 2) kesabaran, 3) komitmen, 4) cinta dan kasih sayang, 5) tanggung jawab, 6) optimis, 7) tolong menolong, dan 8) kesetiaan

This article examines the ways in which discourses of Canadian national identity intersect with those of gender through the lens of young girls of immigrant and refugee backgrounds. In particular, it explores notions of "Canadian-ness" among school girls of Vietnamese and Chinese backgrounds. AN ANALYSIS OF MAIN CHARACTER'S MOTIVATION IN JACK LONDON'S SHORT STORY ENTITLED TO BUILD A FIRE

This research examines psychology which is motivation of the main character in the short story. Motivation is a state inside us that demands a change, whether in ourselves or in our surroundings. Moreover, motivation is a person's desire to achieve the needs that they want. This research focuses on the types of motivation and the hierarchy needs that the main character try to achieve in the short story.This research is a qualitative research and the method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. In addition, the theories used in this research have two theories. The first theory was the theory of motivation proposed by Ryan and Decy to analyze the types of motivation found in To Build a Fire short story. The second theory is the theory of hierarchy needs proposed by Abraham Maslow to analyze the needs that the main character try to achieve.The results of this research indicate that there are two types of motivation which consist of intrinsic motivation, they are five data of behavior and five data of passion. In addition, they are extrinsic motivation which are three data of status and two data of rewards. Meanwhile, there are five types of hierarchy needs which consist of three data of psychological needs, four data of safety needs, three data of love and belongingness needs, two data of self-esteem needs and three data of cognitive needs

PENGARUH DISIPLIN TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII SMP YPK 2 MOPAH LAMA MERAUKE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Kelas VII SMP YPK  2 Mopah Lama Merauke. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP YPK 2 Mopah Lama Merauke yang berjumlah 30 orang dan menggunakan teknik sampel secara keseluruhan. Data dikumpulan melalui pengamatan, tes, angket, dan wawancara,  kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh disiplin terhadap prestasi belajar pada siswa kelas VII SMP YPK 2 Merauke mencapai 0,16. Tabel korelasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh disiplin terhadap prestasi belajar pada siswa kelas  VII sangat lemah pengaruhnya (tidak ada pengaruhnya). Oleh sebab itu, guru diharapkan bisa menggunakan berbagai strategi, pendekatan, metode, dan sumber belajar lain agar proses belajar dapat berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan kedisiplinan yang harus dipatuhi dalam belajar, sehingga peserta didik bisa lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar yang diperolehnya lagi
