    Wearable Real Time Health and Security Monitoring Scheme for Coal mine Workers

    This paper deals with implementing a supervision system for coal mine and underground workers, which is essential to avoid the workers illness and death. The proposed recovery system consists of all primary aspects of the coal mine and underground areas. This system incorporates a sensor array, GSM, RF and controller modules. ARM 7 (LPC2148) Microcontroller is fully automated measuring system. ARM7 processor is used for measuring the environment parameters with high reliability and accuracy and smooth control by using sensor networks. Consequently, advance detecting crucial conditions the microcontroller starts alerting the mine workers by the alarm system and sends the alert messages to fire and ambulance services by using GSM modem. In addition, the observed parameter's value will be displayed on a PC by using RF (CC2500) module, which is at the control station. At the hazardous situation, this system shows the shortest and available way out path for the workers to move away from the harmful environment. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15037

    Genetic diversity within and among populations of the Indian short-nosed fruit bat, Cynopterus sphinx assessed through RAPD analysis

    Genetic diversity was studied among 40 different zone samples in the Indian short-nosed fruit bat, Cynopterus sphinx. Samples were collected from 127 locations in different districts of southern Tamil Nadu, India. Polymorphism at molecular level was studied by random amplified polymorphic DNA marker technique. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with 30 arbitrary decamer oligonucleotide primers was applied to the 40 zone samples. Out of 30 random primers screened, 22 gave reproducible polymorphic bands. PCR product of bat genome revealed a total of 234 bands, out of which 171 were found to be polymorphic. The dendrogram displaying the relative genetic similarities between the zones ranged from 0.42 to 0.92. Principal coordinates analysis revealed that the first two components accounted for 51.4% of the total variation. The results show that considerable genetic diversity was observed in this species from different zonal populations, possibly due to complete dispersal of juveniles of both sexes from their natal groups and gene flow between the zones. The results obtained from this study suggest not only a predictive framework for future studies, but also the use of genetic data in the management and meaningful conservation of this species

    Gulf of Mannar in the southeast coast of India extends from Rameswaram Island in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. It has a chain of 21 islands stretching from Mandapam to Tuticorin to a distance of 140 km along the coast. Each one of the islands is located anywhere between 2 and 10 km from the mainland. The Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve was set up on 18th February 1989 jointly by the Government of India and the state of Tamilnadu. The government of Tamilnadu in G.O. M.S. No 962 dated 10th September 1986 notified under section 35(1) of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972 the intention to declare the 21 islands as Marine National Park for the purpose of protecting marine wildlife and its environment including depths of 3.5 fathoms on the bay side to 5 fathoms on the seaward side. The compilation of all available scientific literature in the form of an annotated bibliography of the Gulf of Mannar biosphere reserve has brought to light the existence of nearly 3,000 publications up to date. This covers the literature published from as early as 1864 to the current year. A large number of publications in the first half of the 20th century have brought out information on the variety of fauna and flora found in the Gulf of Mannar, their biology and ecology. A lot of emphasis on the fish and fisheries research has been given only in the second half of the 20th century.     A novel center-tapped transformer based multilevel inverter with common DC source

    In this paper, a novel multilevel inverter topology is proposed which uses lesser switches and anti-parallel diodes are eliminated in the circuit configuration of the multilevel inverter. Optimal switching strategy for the inverter using three different Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) techniques is analyzed based on the power quality indices. The proposed model is simulated and tested using MATLAB/Simulink. Owing to the switching techniques used the harmonic content at the output of the inverter is mitigated which results in a lesser value of total harmonic distortion. Reduced number of power electronic switches results in lesser power loss. The performance of the proposed system is validated with simulation results of conventional multilevel inverters and pulse width modulation control methods. The results for various performance parameters such as efficiency, switching loss, voltage magnitude, and total harmonic distortion are analyzed

    Today’s world technology recognizes Internet and World Wide Web as two of the main communication mediums in technology firms. modern technology and social networking turn out to be a part of a large number of people’s lives. technology firms are challenged with this fast-moving social network in organization that encourage viral marketing too. There has been little study about the effect of viral marketing towards technology firms. This paper aims to explore the factors that influence the effectiveness of viral marketing, determine the most influential factor and identify the impacts of onlinecontents that influence the effectiveness of viral marketing. a quantitative method was used and 384 respondents from Southern Region Malaysia participated in the survey. The results showed that all the motivational factors like playfulness, community-driven, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness had significant impact on the viral marketing in the Malaysian technology firms. Two other factors like critical mass and peer pressure were found to be insignificant in this study. The findings may contribute to the judgement on Malaysian technology firms about viral marketing that blend firm skills, knowledge and technical leadership roles to manage emerging technologies, develop innovative solutions and complex firm’s problems
