    CONCEPTUAL ASPECTS AND THE MOST USED PRACTICES IN OBTAINING THE RELIABILITY OF ENTITY VALUE ESTIMATION

    Estimating the entity value is topical and of particular interest to managers and business owners, who in turn hope that through the evaluation they will obtain parallel and new possibilities for the business remediation. In this context, managers seek the support of qualified assessors, who will conduct a thorough analysis of the entity’s state at a given date, will apply the most effective evaluation methods. In this paper we proposed to investigate and analyze the theoretical aspects of the entity value estimation (EVE), rendered in the opinion of the well-informed researchers and in the light of the evaluation standards. As a result, we note that the criteria of evaluations have been supplemented with the following criterion: by type of activity of the economic entity. We estimate the evaluation methods in order to identify the most accepted and effective method for this important process to the entity. For the practical aspect of the investigation, we focused on the method of comparison in the market valuation of the enterprise, in order to establish the statistical indicators consisting of the calculation of the median and the arithmetic mean. Based on the calculations made in the practical part, we have found that an economic entity can change its own value, in particular, by the way its values are profitable. In estimating the value of the entity, a decision-making function is attributed to the rests with the assessor, in particular with regard to the methods selected and applied professionally by the entity, in compliance with professional valuation standards and current regulations, as the fair estimation of the entity’s value leads to a secure future and a guaranteed success

    Allergy skin testing with nonirritating concentrations of anesthetic agents

    Immediate hypersensitivity reactions to anesthetic agents are rare, but with a worrying morbidity and mortality rate. Allergy evaluation is mandatory when hypersensitivity reactions to anaesthetic agents are suspected. Skin prick tests and intradermal tests are important tools due to their clinical utility in establishing the diagnosis of IgE-mediated hypersensitivity and evaluation of cross-reactivity. This article presents, for informational purposes only, the nonirritating concentrations of general anesthetics and adjuvant agents, neuromuscular blocking agents and agents used in local and regional anesthesia, used in clinical practice for allergy skin testing according to international guidelines. The delayed hypersensitivity adverse reactions can be assessed by patch testing. Concentrations used for such skin testing with topical anesthetic agents from the European baseline series, international comprehensive baseline series and medicament series, are also presented

    Phytochemical profile, antioxidant capacity and wound healing potential of Viscum album L. growing on Robinia pseudoacacia L.

    Mistletoe (Viscum album L.), a semi-parasitic medicinal plant, continues to be of interest, due to its phytochemical composition. The leaves of mistletoe contain phenols, which have a variety of biological effects. The main goal was to characterize the mistletoe that parasitized Robinia pseudoacacia L., (called VAR) in terms of phenolic compounds and to assess the wound healing potential in vitro using the scratch method. Furthermore, the antioxidant capacity was evaluated both by spectrophotometric techniques (DPPH, FRAP, TEAC), as well as by the ability of the mistletoe extract to synthesize green selenium nanoparticles. Among the phenolic acids, dihydroxybenzoic acid is in high level (2.86±0.03 mg/g dw), whereas isorhamnetin-glucuronides dominate the flavonol class (0.593±0.03 mg/g dw). The presence of phenolic compounds in the VAR leaves provides antioxidant capacity. The reducing capacity of VAR extract was demonstrated for the first time by the biosynthesis of nanoselenium particles (NSePs) with a regular, spherical shape and a diameter of around 130 nm. The VAR concentrations of 25-200 ”g/mL showed no toxic effect on normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDF), and the concentration of 100 ”g/mL exhibited the best percentage of wound surface closure in vitro (94.08%). The results show that mistletoe is a promising plant because of its phytochemical composition and antioxidant capacity, which can modulate the wound repair process in vitro

    Nonirritating concentrations for skin testing in immediate antibiotic allergy

    Accurate identification of a culprit drug involved in an immediate hypersensitivity adverse reaction has critical consequences on antibiotic stewardship and patient quality of life, therefore simple reliable diagnostic skin tests are of great importance. Succinct information on the use of positive and negative controls and nonirritating concentrations of antibiotics, according to recent international guidelines, used for skin prick tests and intradermal tests for the allergy workup is required to avoid false negative or false positive results. The method used, the appropriate drug concentrations, and the criteria for positive skin testing influence the specificity and sensitivity of allergy skin tests

    Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant Properties of Carvacrol and Magnolol, in Periodontal Disease and Diabetes Mellitus

    Periodontal disease and diabetes mellitus are two pathologies that are extremely widespread worldwide and share the feature of chronic inflammation. Carvacrol is a phenolic monoterpenoid, produced by a variety of herbs, the most well-known of which is Origanum vulgare. Magnolol is a traditional polyphenolic compound isolated from the stem bark of Magnolia officinalis, mainly used in Chinese medicine. The purpose of this paper is to review the therapeutic properties of these bioactive compounds, in the treatment of periodontitis and diabetes. Based on our search strategy we conducted a literature search in the PubMed and Google Scholar databases to identify studies. A total of one hundred eighty-four papers were included in the current review. The results show that carvacrol and magnolol have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-osteoclastic, and anti-diabetic properties that benefit both pathologies. Knowledge of the multiple activities of carvacrol and magnolol can assist with the development of new treatment strategies, and the design of clinical animal and human trials will maximize the potential benefits of these extracts in subjects suffering from periodontitis or diabetes

    The Formulation of Dermato-Cosmetic Products Using <i>Sanguisorba minor</i> Scop. Extract with Powerful Antioxidant Capacities

    There has been a significant increase in the use of botanical resources for the formulation of topical products designed for medicinal and cosmetic applications. Sanguisorba minor Scop., a botanical species, exhibits a variety of properties and has significant potential for applications in the field of cosmetics. The aim of this study was to formulate topical preparations, incorporating an extract derived from the plant S. minor Scop. comprising a combination of roots, leaves, and flowers. In the initial phase, a total of seven combinations were prepared using extracts derived from the roots, leaves, and flowers of S. minor Scop. (v/v/v). These combinations were subsequently subjected to evaluation for their antioxidant capacity using four distinct methods: 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC), and Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC). An extract of plant organs in a ratio of 1:2:1 (v/v/v), which had a strong antioxidant capacity and demonstrated synergistic effects according to the DPPH, TEAC, and CUPRAC assays (with values of 1.58 ± 0.1, 1.18 ± 0.09, and 1.07 ± 0.07, respectively), was selected for inclusion in three dermato-cosmetic products (hydrogel, emulgel, and cream). All the prepared preparations were evaluated in terms of topical formulation attributes and organoleptic characteristics. The testing of dermato-cosmetic products included assessments of their topical formulation properties and organoleptic characteristics. The hydrogel, emulgel, and cream exhibited varying degrees of stretchability. In addition, a study was carried out to assess the in vitro release of polyphenols from the cosmetic formulations using a Franz diffusion cell system. The results showed that the emulgel containing the extract of S. minor Scop. had the highest and most significant release of polyphenols, with a release rate of 84.39 ± 1.01%. This was followed by the hydrogel and cream, which had release percentages of 80.52 ± 0.89 and 75.88 ± 0.88, respectively, over an 8 h period.
