Biconservative submanifolds in Sn×R\mathbb{S}^{n}\times \mathbb{R} and Hn×R\mathbb{H}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}

In this paper, we study biconservative submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$ and $\mathbb{H}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$ with parallel mean curvature vector field and co-dimension 2. We obtain some necessary and sufficient conditions for such submanifolds to be conservative. In particular, we obtain a complete classification of 3-dimensional biconservative submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{4}\times \mathbb{R}$ and $\mathbb{H}^{4}\times \mathbb{R}$ with nonzero parallel mean curvature vector field. We also get some results for biharmonic submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$ and $\mathbb{H}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$.Comment: 17 page

O “sabe com quem está falando?” E a educação superior privada no Brasil: Paradoxos e dilemas para uma interpretação crítica

This work aims to establish a dialogue on private higher education in Brazil, based on the anthropology of Roberto DaMatta. Through analyzing the author's ideas regarding everyday situations and events in higher education, the goal is to highlight dilemmas and paradoxes that need to be addressed. A proposed reflection introduces possible contributions from Brazilian anthropology to educational phenomena in private higher education, prompting the need to create alternatives and pose critical questions about existing practices in this context. The analysis of the 'jeitinho' (finding a way), hierarchy, 'do you know who you're talking to?', conservatism, and social rites aims to expand the notions commonly applied in understanding educational phenomena.Este artículo pretende promover un diálogo sobre la enseñanza superior privada en Brasil a partir de la antropología de Roberto DaMatta. Cotejando las ideas del autor sobre situaciones y hechos cotidianos en la educación superior, buscamos señalar dilemas y paradojas a ser enfrentados. Proponemos una reflexión que trae a colación posibilidades de contribución de la antropología brasileña a los fenómenos educativos en la enseñanza superior privada, provocando la necesidad de crear alternativas y cuestionar críticamente lo que se ha hecho en esta área. Creemos que el análisis del "jeitinho", de la jerarquización, del "¿sabes con quién estás hablando?", del conservadurismo y de los ritos sociales permite ampliar las nociones usualmente aplicadas para la comprensión de los fenómenos educativos.Este trabalho tem como objetivo estabelecer um diálogo sobre a educação superior privada no Brasil, fundamentado na antropologia de Roberto DaMatta. Através da análise das ideias do autor acerca de situações cotidianas e eventos do ensino superior, busca-se destacar dilemas e paradoxos que necessitam ser enfrentados. Alcune proposte metodologiche per l’impiego di un GIS intra-site nella documentazione di un relitto: l’applicazione sul brick Mercurio (Punta Tagliamento, Italia)

The wreck of the ship Mercurio lies at a depth of 17 m, off Punta Tagliamento, between the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions. It was discovered in 2001, and was excavated in 2001, and again between 2004 and 2011, by Carlo Beltrame (Università Ca’ Foscari) in collaboration with the local archaeological superintendency. It was a brigantine, belonging to an Italian-French squadron, sunk during the battle of Grado in the 1812. Problems typical of post-Medieval ships (especially when military), such as the complexity of the aspect because of the presence of metal concretions and a lot of items of different materials and typologies and the difficulties in documenting very small objects (such as the many buttons of uniforms) with the photogrammetrical system, were solved with the use of an intra-site GIS on a Quantum GIS open source application. The GIS allowed us not only to manage the large amount of information (site-plans, topological positions of the items, photos, etc.) produced during the excavations, but also to answer questions about the dynamics both of the sinking and the formation processes and, thanks to the use of a system of virtual frames, about the location of the nautical equipment, the links between the human skeletons and the personal objects and parts of the uniforms and the location of the caulker store-roo

As Paisagens do Universo do Vinho: Uma Abordagem Entre o Douro (Portugal) e a Campanha Gaúcha (Brasil)

As paisagens são fruto de um conjunto de formas espaciais construídas pelo trabalho humano laboroso sobre a natureza. Quando se fala em paisagens vitícolas, estas têm o vinho no centro da construção socioespacial, mas além dele tem o ambiente, a cultura, o olhar do observador, os elementos invisíveis e intangíveis. Pensando nestas paisagens vitícolas é que este trabalho propõe discutir as composições paisagísticas do vinho no Douro (Portugal) e da Campanha Gaúcha (Brasil), apontando as singularidades de cada paisagem e a análise do entendimento sobre as paisagens do vinho. Partindo de um estudo de revisão de literatura, conhecimento das regiões e conversas informais com registro de dados e informações. Para, então, poder contribuir com os estudos sobre esta temática
