Hubungan Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Dalam Pengaturan Pola Makan Dengan Kadar Gula Darah Penderita Diabetes Melitus Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Minasa Upa Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar
ABSTRACT : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the groups of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) due to the disorder of insulin secretion, insulin work or both. Diabetics are at risk for complications, both acute and chronic. These complications can be prevented by controlling blood glucose levels. Controlling blood sugar levels is the main thing for people with Diabetes Mellitus one of them with diet / nutrition therapy. Proper diet therapy is based on knowledge and good attitude to control blood sugar levels. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitude in the pattern of eating with blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus. This research is analytical descriptive with cross sectional design. Sampling technique used is total population with the number of respondents as many as 50 people. Data were collected using questionnaires and measured blood glucose levels during DM patients. Data analysis using Chi Square test with significance level α = 0,05. From the results of statistical tests obtained p value 0.660 on the test relationship of knowledge with blood sugar levels in the diet, and p value of 0.002 on the test attitude relationship with blood sugar levels in the diet. So it can be concluded there is no significant correlation between knowledge with blood sugar level of Diabetes Mellitus patient in Working Area of Minasa Upa Health Center of Makassar City. And there is a significant correlation between attitude with blood sugar level of Diabetes Mellitus patient in Working Area of Puskesmas Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Need to provide education / counseling about Diabetes Mellitus to patients in groups or individuals 2-3 times for people with Diabetes Mellitus and their families.Keyword: Knowledge, Attitude, Blood Sugar RateABSTRAK : Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan salah satu kelompok penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar gula darah (Hiperglikemia) karena gangguan seksresi insulin, kerja insulin atau keduanya. Penderita DM beresiko mengalami komplikasi baik bersifat akut maupun kronis. Komplikasi tersebut dapat dicegah dengan mengendalikan kadar glukosa darah. Pengendalian kadar gula darah adalah hal utama bagi penderita Diabetes Melitus salah satunya dengan terapi diet/nutrisi. Terapi diet yang benar didasari dari pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik guna pengendalian kadar gula darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dalam pengaturan pola makan dengan kadar gula darah penderita Diabetes Melitus. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah total populasi dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 50 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan mengukur kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pasien DM. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Dari hasil uji statistik didapatkan nilai p value 0.660 pada uji hubungan pengetahuan dengan kadar gula darah dalam pengaturan pola makan, dan nilai p value 0.002 pada uji hubungan sikap dengan kadar gula darah dalam pengaturan pola makan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan kadar gula darah penderita Diabetes Melitus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap dengan kadar gula darah penderita Diabetes Melitus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Perlu pemberian edukasi/ penyuluhan mengenai Diabetes Melitus kepada penderita secara berkelompok ataupun perorangan 2-3 kali untuk penderita Diabetes Melitus dan keluarganya.Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Sikap, Kadar Gula Dara
Positive Effect of Lifestyle Management Guide on Hypertension Patients
Hypertension is a risk factor for various diseases such as stroke and cardiovascular. The purpose of this study is to test the benefits of lifestyle management guidelines to regular treatment, dietary habits and physical exercise of hypertension patient. It was a quasi-experiment, subject divided into 2Â groups, that is control and intervention group. Chi Square test used to examine association of lifestyle management as effect of lifestyle management guideline to the increase if knowledge and attitude about hypertension management. Result showed an increase of knowledge and attitude about regular treatment, dietary habits and physical exercise and sigficantly asscociated with lifestyle management.
