Possibility of observing charged Higgs in the single top production via its τ\tau lepton decay at LHC

Single top quark production through weak interactions is considered to be an important source of charged Higgs in the Minimal Super Symmetric Standard Model. In the s-channel single top production having largest cross-section may appear as a propagator in the form of heavy resonance state decaying to a pair of top and bottom quark. The process under investigation is ppH±tbbbˉW±bbˉτ±ντpp \rightarrow H^{\pm}\rightarrow tb \rightarrow b\bar{b}W^{\pm} \rightarrow b\bar{b}\tau^{\pm} \nu_{\tau}, where top quark exclusively decays into a pair of bottom quark and W boson while W boson subsequently decays to τ\tau jet and neutrino. So the final state is characterized by the presence of two b jets, hadronic τ\tau decay and missing transverse energy. Within the presence of QCD multijet and electroweak background events at LHC, it has been demonstrated that the charged Higgs signal observability is possible within the available MSSM parameter space (tanβ\beta, mH±)m_{H^{\pm}}) respecting all experimental and theoretical constraints. In order to show the observability potential of charged Higgs, the exclusion curves at 95%\% confidence level and 5σ\sigma contours are plotted at different integrated luminosities with s=\sqrt{s}=14 TeV.Comment: arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1711.0834

An Empirical Analysis of Impact of Foreign Aid on Economic Growth: The Case of Pakistan

    Get PDF
The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of foreign aid on economic growth of Pakistan. The time series data for the period 1980-2008 is used by applying OLS regression model and two diagnostic methods namely Breusch-Pagon and Durbin-Watson tests. Results depict that foreign aid is insignificantly related to the economic growth to Pakistan for short-run and long-run. By excluding the foreign direct investment, results are significant but still a negative relationship exists. This study will help to government organizations by recognizing about the impact of foreign aid on economic growth

“Bitcoin” Risk & Return related to this Virtual Currency in Pakistan (A Qualitative Analysis)

Virtual Currencies are becoming popular these days in Pakistan like other countries. These currencies have no physical value, no intrinsic value & no central control. It has only the unique feature is easy to use, control by block chain network. It is not common in Pakistan due to less publicity. This research paper discusses the popularity of Bitcoin in Pakistan and its impact on Economy. Risk and Return related to virtual currency. The price determinants of Bitcoin and exchange rate. Keywords: Bitcoin, Risk & Return, Virtual Currency. DOI: 10.7176/RJFA/10-7-02 Publication date: April 30th 201

Effect of Motivation on Employee Retention: Mediating Role of Perceived Organizational Support

Employees play crucial role for the success and failure of any organization. In modern competitive work environment, employee retention is meaningful for the achievement of organizational goals. The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on employee retention. Along with that, the study also examined the mediating role of perceived organizational support on motivation-retention relationship. Primary data was collected from the commercial banks of Lahore, Pakistan. A sample size of 342 banking sector employees in commercial banks of Lahore, Pakistan was selected. Partial Least Square- Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation has a significant impact over employee retention and perceived organizational support mediates the relationship between extrinsic, intrinsic motivation, and employee retention. By empirically testing the research contributes academically to Social Exchange Theory, Hertzberg Two Factor and Organizational Support Theory

Personal Remittance, A Reagent of Macroeconomic Stability in the Perspective of Pakistan (2005-2017)

Pakistan is a semi-industrialized economy, which mainly comprehends fabrics, chemicals, food dispensation, cultivation and other activities. Economy of Pakistan is at very stirring phase in structural and financial point of view such as unfavorable balance of payments and high debt profile. To disrupt these unfavorable economic balances many peripheral economic factors act as a source of income or core factor of advantageous balances such as FDI, Remittances, Exports, Foreign aids etc. So this study is aimed to detect pros and cons of personal remittances along with correlation with macroeconomic volatilities. Data is collected from secondary sources during time span of 2005-2017. The period is chosen for study is 2002 to 2017 and numerical data is used for validity. Data is evaluated through statistical software EVIEWS. Standardized criteria is assumed to accept or reject the hypothesis. On the basis of inferences, policies and implication are given in the shape of recommendation for curative measures. Objective: In the present study, the extracts (petroleum ether and methanolic extract) of plant Artemisia maritima were subjected to bioactivity evaluation and compound isolation and characterization. Methods: Antioxidant activity was carried out using ferric reducing power and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The anticancer activity was evaluated by MTT assay using three different human cancer cell lines: Embryonic kidney cancer cell (HEK), lung adenocarcinoma epithelial cell (A-549), and human colon cancer cell (HCT), and isolated compounds were characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance (1HNMR), 13CNMR, DEPT, infrared, and mass spectroscopic techniques. Results: The petroleum ether extract of the plant displayed significant antioxidant and cytotoxic effects, which on phytochemical analysis led to the isolation of two bioactive sesquiterpene lactone compounds. These phytochemicals were identified using different spectral techniques in the light of literature. All the compounds displayed significant cytotoxic activity; however, compound-1 exhibited potent anticancer activity with inhibitory concentration value of 17.3 μg/mL. The isolated compounds also displayed significant antioxidant potential. Conclusion: Artemisia maritima, a rich source of sesquiterpene lactone which may be responsible for significant anticancer potential and it also possess remarkable antioxidant activity and hence may be of immense importance to food Chemistry
