Conditions for State and Control Constraint Activation in Coordination of Connected and Automated Vehicles
Connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) provide the most intriguing
opportunity to reduce pollution, energy consumption, and travel delays. In
earlier work, we addressed the optimal coordination of CAVs using Hamiltonian
analysis. In this paper, we investigate the nature of the unconstrained problem
and provide conditions under which the state and control constraints become
active. We derive a closed-form analytical solution of the constrained
optimization problem and evaluate the solution using numerical simulation
Concurrent Optimization of Vehicle Dynamics and Powertrain Operation Using Connectivity and Automation
Connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) provide the most intriguing
opportunity to reduce energy consumption and travel delays. In this paper, we
propose a two-level control architecture for CAVs to optimize (1) the vehicle's
speed profile, aimed at minimizing stop-and-go driving, and (2) the powertrain
efficiency of the vehicle for the optimal speed profile derived in (1). The
proposed hierarchical control framework can be implemented onboard the vehicle
in real time with minimal computational effort. We evaluate the effectiveness
of the efficiency of the proposed architecture through simulation in Mcity
using a 100% penetration rate of CAVs. The results show that the proposed
approach yields significant benefits in terms of energy efficiency.Comment: Updating and replacing the old version of arXiv:1911.03475 with the

Participative extension is an extension model that involves farmers in the whole process of decision making. Extension officers have several functions such as to strengthen the ability and the potency of the farmers, to improve their agricultural management, and to utilize the forest by involving them at the beginning stage of the study (from data collection, analysis, identification, planning, organization, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, until the reporting activity). To increase the outcome, we need to held the course for the forestry extension officers and the farmers as target groups regularly.

Active User Authentication for Smartphones: A Challenge Data Set and Benchmark Results
In this paper, automated user verification techniques for smartphones are
investigated. A unique non-commercial dataset, the University of Maryland
Active Authentication Dataset 02 (UMDAA-02) for multi-modal user authentication
research is introduced. This paper focuses on three sensors - front camera,
touch sensor and location service while providing a general description for
other modalities. Benchmark results for face detection, face verification,
touch-based user identification and location-based next-place prediction are
presented, which indicate that more robust methods fine-tuned to the mobile
platform are needed to achieve satisfactory verification accuracy. The dataset
will be made available to the research community for promoting additional
research.Comment: 8 pages, 12 figures, 6 tables. Best poster award at BTAS 201
Hermeneutika Sufistik Al-Ghazâlî Dalam Mishkât Al-Anwâr
This paper attempts to identify the character and form of interpretation al-Ghazâlî against the Koran, especially when interpreting the verses of the Koran in one of his work, Mishkât al-Anwâr. When viewed from the authority of the text and the author (interpreter), the style of the interpretation of al-Ghazâlî appears to have similarities with the concept of philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer. But it is not so, there are significant differences between the two. If Gadamer's model interpretation is called Philosophical Hermeneutics, then the interpretation of al-Ghazâlî style more to the Sufi Hermeneutics. In the end, this paper concluded that al-Ghazâlî's Sufi Hermeneutics rests on two elements are simples but not smalls; rationality (al-ma‘qûl) led by entities in it like the soul (al-nafs), soul (al-rûh), heart (al-qalb), intellect (al-‘aql), and textuality (al-manqûl) the object stratified into five aspects, namely the existence of essential (wujûd dhâtî), the existence of sensory (wujûd hissî), the existence of imaginative (wujûd khayyâlî), the existence of a rational (wujûd ‘aqlî), the existence of analogical (wujûd shibhî)
Extracting Low-Lying Lambda Resonances Using Correlation Matrix Techniques
The lowest-lying negative-parity state of the Lambda is investigated in
(2+1)-flavour full-QCD on the PACS-CS configurations made available through the
ILDG. We show that a variational analysis using multiple source and sink
smearings can extract a state lying lower than that obtained by using a
standard fixed smeared source and sink operator alone.Comment: 3 pages, 1 figure, submitted to the proceedings of T(R)OPICAL QCD II,

Searching for low-lying multi-particle thresholds in lattice spectroscopy
We explore the Euclidean-time tails of odd-parity nucleon correlation
functions in a search for the S-wave pion-nucleon scattering-state threshold
contribution. The analysis is performed using 2+1 flavor 32^3 x 64 PACS-CS
gauge configurations available via the ILDG. Correlation matrices composed with
various levels of fermion source/sink smearing are used to project low-lying
states. The consideration of 25,600 fermion propagators reveals the presence of
more than one state in what would normally be regarded as an
eigenstate-projected correlation function. This observation is in accord with
the scenario where the eigenstates contain a strong mixing of single and
multi-particle states but only the single particle component has a strong
coupling to the interpolating field. Employing a two-exponential fit to the
eigenvector-projected correlation function, we are able to confirm the presence
of two eigenstates. The lower-lying eigenstate is consistent with a N-pi
scattering threshold and has a relatively small coupling to the three-quark
interpolating field. We discuss the impact of this small scattering-state
contamination in the eigenvector projected correlation function on previous
results presented in the literature.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures. Manuscript accepted for publicatio
